In search of a lunch spot near our conference, my colleagues and I stopped in at Andres Carne de Res, drawn to the bedazzled cow sculpture outside the restaurant. I immediately took in the colorful "retro" decor in the dining room - there was even a stage set-up for live performances. It was clear that this was a lively evening entertainment and dining spot, but it was very quiet at lunchtime. I ordered a beef and potato empanada, a chicken empanada, and an avocado salad. My food was brought out first, and my colleagues, who ordered a burger and grilled octopus, waited another 15 minutes for their food to be served (fortunately, my food was meant to be served cold). The avocado salad was refreshing, but it lacked enough acidity to brighten up the dish. The empanadas were decent - I preferred the beef and potato empanada to the chicken empanada, which was dry and needed some dipping sauce. While our lunch experience left something to be desired, I would be curious to check out the restaurant in the evening when it comes to life. read more

I think it's awesome when steakhouses offer an affordable and delicious burger. They just taste so much better than regular burgers, probably using leftover steak trimmings. Here you order from a iPad and then eat casually at one of the limited seats. Specialty Divina Burger: So luxe! The burger had aromas of charcoal, from the large charcoal pit, setting it apart from other burgers. The meat blend was delicious and perfectly fatty. I liked all the toppings of special sauce, onions and bacon bits. A memorable burger! Divina Hot Dog: A fun Colombian hot dog with a cool crisscross cut. Really pretty rooftop spot to watch the sunset. The staff was all very nice. It's cute inside and they have some beautiful dancers and music to enjoy in the main dining room. If it's a little loud the rooftop is a nice retreat. The food was tasty, but a bit pricey in my opinion for what it is, but that's the beach... you pay for location and experience. We had some apps/tapas and drinks, so you know it adds up quick on the beach. 1 drink was $28... again... Miami. Their website and Instagram advertises happy hour Tuesday to Sunday from 4PM to 8PM but it's a lie, upon arrival at 6.30 or so on a Sunday happy hour reservation, they told me the happy hour ended early because they had too many reservations (the place was empty) I was told over the phone that since their rooftop was closed the happy hour was being offered in the only area were service was being offered. I was obviously upset when I felt lied to, the manager came and told me they would make an exception just for my table and honor the happy hour shown in their social media and menu. I'm too disappointed at this point to stay, and not interested in doing business with such shady place, so I stand up and leave. They chase all the way to the door me and beg me to stay, it was too late. Just don't go, service was not great either 3 different people came to our table to introduced as our server but none took our order. Due to our basil, we had trouble finding a parking space so we were late to our reservation. Luckily, they still have plenty of openings cause it was early. We went upstairs to the rooftop bar area for their happy hour, which has a very nice menu, but you can also order from the regular menu up there. It's a nice set up Really beautiful views. The inside of the restaurant downstairs is gorgeous and it looks like it's a fun place to host a private event. We were lucky to be early because by the time we finished our meals, the rooftop was packed. We enjoyed our food. The only downside we had was the servers did not speak English, so it was a little difficult to tell them no onion lol however we probably won't be back because we don't live near there but it's a very cool place to visit once with friends. read more

Went an opening night, so giving the service and the servers some slack that even though the kitchen was slow, the food was incredible. We tried the empanadas and some of the steaks and everything was flavorful and hot. The drinks were OK but now I wanna go back and try the frozen ones. For sure, the highlight was the band playing music live. I think this place is going to end up being more of a party than a restaurant. The only reason I'm giving this restaurant a 2 star review is because of the service. The food was good (although a bit expensive for the portion size), the atmosphere is colorful and lively, and the band was great (although way too loud). Our server had little or no experience. She never provided water for the table and rarely checked in on us. I had ordered the shrimp Peruvian ceviche and she brought me the fish ceviche. When I tried to return it, she said it would come out of her salary (?), and this was after arguing with me about what I ordered. I asked for a margarita with "light ice" because I don't like it watered down, so she brought me a margarita in a small glass, half empty even though it still had ice (?). You're telling me just because you put less ice that you had to cut the drink in half? My friend didn't get her drink until mid-way through the meal. Arrived with a reservation , was told the rooftop was closed for inclement weather. Ordered an Aperol Spritz and glass of ice. Aperol arrived in a timely manner. No cup of ice. I had already ordered my steak when I ordered my drink. 20 minutes had passed and waitress came by and I asked her for the missing cup of ice. It was not really crowded for a Sunday afternoon. Asked for medium well .. was hot pink. The waitress came by noticed this and suggested cooking it more. I cooked my meat to the right temp and it tasted acceptable. They did bring me the wrong side. Waitress asked if there would be anything else, I replied some sort of discount would be nice since I really didn't eat much. She offered 10%. That was that. I took my bf to Andrés Carne de Res because he really liked this restaurant when he used to live in Bogotá. Making a reservation for 6pm was easy on the Open Table app. We wanted to avoid the Art Basel crowd. We arrived at 15 mins and were quickly sat. The restaurant wasn't too busy, and there were plenty of servers. I reminded the hostess that I had put on our reservation that it was my bf's birthday. I asked if they do anything special for birthdays and she assured me they do. The interior of the restaurant is gaudy and kitschy in a way tourists and people celebrating a special occasion seem to like. There was no live entertainment when I was there, so I can't speak to that. The expensive menu has a wide selection of foods to satisfy many palates. The cocktail menu is pretty boring, with your typical drinks, nothing special. My bf was disappointed that they didn't have their lulo cocktail from the Bogotá restaurant. Seems like a missed opportunity for a signature cocktail. Service was terrible. Drinks and food took forever. It took 20 mins for a slice of key lime pie! Mind you, this is still pretty early in the night. I can't imagine how poor the service is when they're actually busy. It was often difficult to find our server, and at the end, she completely disappeared. Another server had to bring our check. The star of the meal was the ceviche de pescado. It was absolutely delicious. The lomo de trapo steak was fine. Our server insisted that it can only be ordered medium. It arrived medium rare. Fortunately, that is how we prefer steak. The sauces that came with it were mediocre. The most annoying part was that no one acknowledged my bf's birthday. Yes, he was relieved, but after putting on the reservation that it was his birthday and speaking to the hostess about it, it was frustrating to be ignored. Not a good lunch spot. The prices are EXTREME for the type of food and flavor provided. I ordered a $28 chicken soup that looked elaborate on the menu. But when I received it, I was quite disappointed (photo attached). It was just a typical chicken soup with flavorless Florida avocado (not Haas). The flavor was clean but super basic like your non-professional grandma whipped it up. This meal should be priced at $15 max, all things considered. On the other hand, the decor and ambience is really great. It's probably a fun place at night with the live show. But I will not be returning in any case. SUMMARY: I don't think SoBe locals will support this new spot due to its high price to low food sophistication ratio. The tourists will be the main customer base, so I wish the restaurant good luck. Last time I was at this restaurant was in Columbia and it was excellent. I've tried several times to come and eat here, but the lines and weight was too long. Finally, we went early on Christmas as this was one of my Christmas presents to have the steak on the heated skillet that they put on the table we had their house salad, which was marinated in excellent lemon sauce and the ceviche was out of the world had an empanada and had a few of their house drinks we had an excellent server. Her name was Catalina. She was very attentive. Actually everyone was attentive the table service the ambience luckily we came when it wasn't too busy at right at 4 o'clock. I would highly recommend this restaurant but come early and come with a big appetite. It's definitely upscale but it is taste of a different level. read more

I visited this restaurant today and it was the worst service I received in 20 years in Miami. The hostess did not want to seat me and reluctantly allowed me in (it was also pouring rain btw) the waitress did not want to give me a table and tried to force me to sit at the bar even after I told her I did not want to sit at the bar. The dining room was practically empty but she said it was full due to reservations. Then when I finally sat down, i asked if they were serving lunch, she rolled her eyes and said they serve lunch and dinner, so I asked to see the lunch menu. I tried to order the rigatoni special and she said they were out of food... so I got up and left. Let me start with the Positive... The only thing this place has going for it is the ambiance and the staff. It's beautiful inside. Fun, whimsical they even have performer walking around pretending to be an animal and engaging with the tables. Wacky but cute... But the food, was not it! The staff was welcoming and friendly. The prices are obscene for Colombian food you can get just about anywhere in Miami for a fraction of the cost. I mean guy, $16 for a shot of GUARO??? NOPE ‍ The food was just meh. The presentation was nothing special. Their sauces were just ok. We ordered some of the appetizers: the chicharron (this was actually well cooked), yuca frita, empanadas (didn't feel homemade). I ended up ordering two drink and an app which was okay and then left .. This place is so well decorated and looks like so much fun that I wanted to stay but I could not get past the prices knowing that this food was regular columbian food ..all steaks were priced like I was at a high end steak house and the soups were priced like it was seafood. This is one of my top restaurants from Colombia, so I couldn't resist trying it in Miami. Our experience was fantastic! My waitress, Mercedes, was exceptional, especially with our group of nine as we ordered nearly every dish on the menu. I liked the place a lot, the ambience and decor were very nice. It's very pricey, exaggeratedly even for some places in Lincoln road but I'm guessing you're paying for the experience? I got a Paloma for a drink. It was $22, bitter and no alcohol. So it was a total bummer. For appetizers we got patacones con hogao, empanadas y el plátano maduro con queso. Again, pricey. First the chicken empanadas had no chicken it was like a purée, although they were crunchy. The patacon was paper thin and super dry; the saving part was the hogao. The best one was the Platano Maduro. I don't have photos of those because it took a while and everyone jumped in as soon as we got it . For food we got el ajiaco, ceviche de pescado, and others in my party, ordered Picanha and churrasco. I loved my ceviche it was a good portion and the taste was great, it came with a patacon which again paper thing and super dry. For the Ajiaco excellent presentation but the taste... although tasty wasn't really that of an ajiaco. For those that ate meat, they said they weren't impressed on taste, and it was a bit dry. Even the picanha on a medium temp. For that price they said they ad better. I didn't try it, I'm just going by what the said. Will I go back? Probably, the party got good at 11. Will I eat? Don't come expecting the same type of place and experience that one gets in Colombia and you'll have a great time. Good selection of cocktails and a pretty extensive menu. If you're a fan of espresso martinis, skip that and order the carajillo especially if you've never had that before. Meats wise, you can't go wrong but if you're going with a group, the tomahawk is the way to go. And all the sides and appetizers are amazing. It's a fairly small place- all the dining and entertainment is in one room, pretty crowded and chaotic (took like 30 minutes for my cocktail to arrive and had to remind them a couple of times) but all in all, super fun, lively and worth it. The majority of the music is Hispanic and it's loud in there (at least for dinner) so just be prepared for a lot of that. They have these dancing cats who engage with the crowd and are hilarious! read more

As a long time fan of this place, I have been to most in Colombia, It's so unfortunate that I had to experience such level of rudeness from the host (some guy was not able to catch his name) outside. We were in the area and decided to stop by. It was 6:20pm we wanted to order a drink just to see it at stand at the bar if necessary, and they denied us entry. Told us no we needed a reservation, even the bar was "full" ( see picture idk if that proves how full it was lol). He mentioned the reservations at 7pm would be arriving soon although we told them we were still 40 minutes away and we were willing to leave whenever those arrived. They don't even have a wait list!... I guess they booming and the entitlement is real when you move across the board. Such a shame, you would think as a new establishment they would be welcoming and flexible but the way they spoke to us and others who approached was very distasteful.
