My husband and I ate one dinner here. The seating host promptly seated us at a spacious and clean table, but our server was away for an extremely long time before taking our order. The dining room had a colorful and interesting interior design. I ate the Chilean sea bass with asparagus, and it was oily but tasted good. My husband ate the pollo asado chicken, and he said that it had no flavor! He did, however, like the sides of rice, beans, and plantains. The total price was $103 plus a tip. read more

We were not happy with our hotel choice (only one of two hotels in Miami with which Virgin Voyages has a relationship apparently) but this restaurant, located inside the hotel, turned our frowns upside down. We had two breakfasts here as well as drinks and dinner. The food is top-notch. Good little surprises, like the use of guava instead of maple syrup on the French Toast. The decor is lovely; clearly Cuban but nice and clean, a modern-take on Cuba. The staff are excellent. If you're here for drinks, have a Guava Mule. Why have the same old same old Mojito; try something different. Just be aware: If memory serves (It's been two weeks since we checked out of the hotel), Cana adds an 18% gratuity to ALL checks. Had an excellent dinner there on our first night in town- what a great experience! Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in a hotel deter you. Seated by the friendly Matre D - we were in a booth near the bar, an excellent spot. There were 4 of us and we started with the Burrata , guava jam, fresh olive oil and kosher salt with grilled buttered bread. It was nothing short of amazing. So fresh and flavorful. We moved on to the mussels ~we could have had straws and drank the broth , it was nothing short of amazing. The server was so personable - we asked about their Cuban Sandwich which wasn't on their dinner menu. They said they were available via special request and we were all in. The Cuban sandwich was nothing short of amazing- the best we've ever had. The bread, the flavor of the ingredients, then we dipped them into the clam sauce, I can't tell you how good it was. My husband and I went to this restaurant for dinner after a suggestion from a friend. Very beautiful restaurant inside the Hyatt hotel in brickell. For starters, the shrimp was absolutely amazing. The highlight of the night for me hands down. If I could have that for all 3 courses I one hundred percent would. The creamy sauce on the side was the added touch that sent this meal over the top. I raved about it the whole night to the staff. Which speaking of, Ellie and the bartender Danny were amazing that night. The drinks we had were perfect and he even made a virgin pina colada from scratch for us even though that drink was not listed on the menu. Came here with the wife after a recommendation of some friends. And the first thing that stood out was the staff. Special shout out to Ellie. She was exceptional she made sure we were taken care of. She came to check on us frequently. It just gave an added touch to the great experience. Food wise the food was good. The one that really stood out was the Camarones al Ajillo. It was very flavorful and tasted great. Also they have a 3 course meal where you get a drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert for one price; which was great. (Super convenient since I live right next to it) Can't go wrong with $6 wine and $8 cocktail, not to mention the Negroni is one of the best my boyfriend has had. Bartender, Danny, is great! They are pretty generous with the portion sizes and shareable amongst us three. The crispy chicharon was still snap, crackling and popping as it got to our table. The bolitas de queso frita was my favorite and paired perfectly with the creamy garlic aioli. The texture of the mofongo was delicious but the sauce on top was eh. Truly one of the best restaurants experience I have ever had and for sure the best one in Miami. Atmosphere: Located on 2nd floor of a hotel, as you walk take the elevator and you will be greated with a warm and cozy vibe. During my visit 8/9pm it was surprisingly empty and there were plenty of seats available and both music & lighting were to my liking. Food: All dishes were great truly, and honestly I finished all my plates. Truffle fries, Pescado Fillet and all other dishes were very tasty. The one side I didn't like as much is the black beans. Everything else is top notch. Service: What if I told you the experience I had with the server was Elite, even to the point of a Michelin Star level. Met a coworker here for a late lunch as we heard the sandwiches were good here. It's on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt in Brickell so it should be easy to find. The cuban sandwich is a solid 8 out of 10. The ham and pork were juicy and tasty. The lechon sandwich was about a 6.5 out of 10. The pork was a little dry, so the extra aioli sauce we asked for certainly came in handy. I'm in Miami, so of course I want a great Cuban dinner. Yelp reviews don't lie! Caña Restaurant and Lounge came highly recommended, so I walked over. The restaurant is open and airy, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Not too loud, and intimate enough for an "impress your date" dinner that won't break the bank. Service was immediate and polite. I ordered a chicken empenada, and the slow-roasted pork shoulder. The empenada was small, but soft and packed with flavor. It came with a spicy, creamy green sauce which complemented it nicely. The pork was absolutely delicious! Not overly spicy, but a beautiful crust and an amazing mix of flavors. Black beans and rice were perfect. One of the best Cuban dining experiences I've ever had, and definitely the best roasted pork shoulder I've ever tasted. Portion size was just right. Stayed in the Hyatt where this restaurant is so it made for easy breakfast on a rainy morning. I ordered the Huevos Americanos. My eggs were perfect, the bacon was delicious, but the potatoes were soggy and gross. I was not a fan of them at all. I expected it to be pricy since it's in the hotel, and it definitely was. My cappuccino was good, but was not hot upon arrival. There is also an 18% service charge automatically added on the check, something to keep in mind when you plan to tip! Had a really nice breakfast here before heading to the airport. They open at 6:30am so it's a great option if you have to start your day on the earlier side. My server was wonderful. Super friendly an accommodating. I ordered an oat milk cappuccino, the avocado toast (delicious), and a side of chicken sausage for good measure. I cleaned my plate so I obviously enjoyed my meal. The restaurant itself is really nicely set up. It's definitely a warm, welcoming area, and the decor was beautiful. The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the booths. My friend was in town and he was craving Cuban food, we decided to try Caña which is inside the Hyatt Centric Brickell ( valet is $20) . The place is nice, service was good. We were not too hungry so we decided to do apps & drinks. I had the passion fruit margarita 5/5, really balanced not too sweet not too strong. For apps we had the chicharron, it is dehydrated so it felt like we were eating it from the bags ( sorry :( ) not my fave 2/5 The bolitas con queso were absolutely deliciouuuuuuuss 5/5 we had to order 2 of these! This is really 3.5 and the drop is solely due to service. When I'm in Miami, I have to eat as much Cuban as I can and as much variety as I can. As I was here for work for the week, after a long day's work, we decided to try someplace close to our AirBNB that had Cuban options and Cana fit the bill. Cana is actually located in the Hyatt in Brickell, and was combined with the bar area. It was strange because it almost felt like the employees forgot they had a restaurant to run. We didn't have reservations, but they had some seats available, but it seems like whoever greeted us didn't realize they had some seats available. We finally got a seat and then it felt like no one told the wait staff a new table arrived because it took a while for someone to come by to get drinks. Then it took forever to get our drinks, so we made sure we ordered everything we wanted whenever we got our drinks or else we'd be here until last call. We started with some appetizers: chicharrons, camarones, and the buratta con gabayon. The burrata was easily the favorite as it was gone, quickly. It was delicious and really hit the spot. The camarones weren't bad, but it felt like it could've been better. As for the chicharrons, my companions liked them, but I don't like them. In general, I don't like chicharrons at all and I've tried to keep an open mind, but I just don't like them at all. The entree I decided on, the lechon asado, was fantastic. The shoulder was fall off the bone tender and I didn't need a knife to cut into it. Full of flavor and only mildly dry, it was a great entree. Overall, Cana was good but after comparing this to Cafe La Trova, Cana has ways to go before getting to that level, especially with the very slow service. read more

I live next door I go there every day. i normally have them help me down stairs. i have a nerological problem with legs i have to have a walker. I bookmarked this place to try and had a meal to spare. Initially I was skeptical as it wasn't the cleanest and it was too early not to be but I gave them a mini pass. Cana is located in the Hyatt and I started with a Presidente' beer which I always enjoy and went for the brunch bowl with rice, black beans, fried egg, plantains and fried pork and was not disappointed. I had a forced overnight stay in Miami after my flights home were cancelled due to weather. Since I don't really have access to Cuban food where I live, the reviews and ratings drew me to this spot (and it helped that it was within walking distance from my hotel). The service was great...very friendly and warm. I was a bit worried because the tables were pretty empty, but the bar area was packed...didn't know if I would be ignored....but that definitely wasn't the case. 5/5 for service! But the food just wasn't great. I had the grilled octopus appetizer (which was recommended by my server) and the grilled fish (red snapper). I love grilled octopus...typically. While this octopus had a nice char on it, the pepper sofrito completely overpowered the taste of the octopus itself. There was way too much acidity from the pickling juice that the peppers had been it, and that's all I could taste. The mofongo de yucca was bland. The grilled fish was, in my opinion, dry. It was well cooked, it just lacked moisture...some type of sauce would have helped. The fish is served with black beans and rice. The black beans were delicious. The rice was WAY undercooked. I'm okay with "al dente" rice, but this went beyond an acceptable chew level. I tried eating it with a couple of spoonfuls of the beans, but I just gave up after a couple of bites. Everyone has an off night now and then...I'm just not sure I would be back. I gave three stars because the service was great...but if I'm being honest, the food was 2/5 at best. read more

So this is the first time at Caña. Not the first time in Miami, but am always looking for places to eat good food. Miami is known for good Cuban food so it's hard to find the right place when there are so many restaurants. Well my girlfriend and I ended finding this restaurant on Yelp! Being the review trusting kind I gave Caña a chance. Man the good reviews weren't wrong. The food and service were excellent. Daniel was our server. His recommendations were spot on. He recommended so many great plates but we went with the Burrta, Yuca Frita, Lechon Asada, Tostones, and the Empanadas. My girlfriend asked for an Apple martini but they didn't have the green apple flavoring, so we made a drink similar to it just from his own experience. What a drink!! We stayed at this hotel so the restaurant was convenient. It was exceptional the two times we ate there for lunch. We had the Cuban sandwich and the ceasar salad. The Cuban with fries is a lot of food for lunch so order if you are hungry. The salad is a perfect lunch portion. My friend ordered it with calamari and it was more than filling. The food here is so good I leave happy every visit. Get the pork shank(?) dish, it's a favorite of everyone I bring here. The Cuban sandwich and fish are also great. The maduros and empanadas are delicious too. All the drinks here are made well using good ingredients. Get the traditional drinks, they are solid, mojito, paloma, etc. Never crowded when I come and always good service. Outside tables overlooks a small piece of water in between buildings. You can sit outside bust that's for tourists...as a Floridian I like my AC. it's too hot outside. Service was great Friendly, prompted and on point. These eggs Benedict were a nice treat, eggs poached perfectly, as the knife hit it the yolk just covered the meal like lava flowing from a volcano. Something about that is so soothing. The ham was a salty Serrano type ham and the bread, instead of English muffin was a pillowing cuban bread roll. So good I could order another as I type this. read more

This Cuban/Latin-influenced restaurant is upscale and classy. The food was phenomenal, our server was patient and attentive. I ordered a glass rose and chardonnay, and I enjoyed the buttery chardonnay along with some scallops on a red pepper and tomato based light broth. The scallops did not come with a side, however I did try the beef and chicken empanadas which were very tasty. The beef empanadas was made with soft pulled pork. Visited this restaurant several times while staying at the Hyatt. The restaurant has a beautiful patio area and a relaxing indoor dining space that has lots of natural light and a beautiful mural. The staff were very friendly and attentive during my visit. I had two of the three breakfast smoothies during my stay. The tropical greens smoothie was absolutely delicious, but the berry smoothie was not as great. It was watery and too liquid to be even considered a smoothie.
