Surfboard themed restaurant inside Holiday Inn with great food and service! I had the wedge salad, BLT (not on the menu, but they will make it) and tater tots. All items were very good! The wedge salad was perfect either the zesty balsamic dressing. The BLT was tasty with crispy bacon and awesome toasted bread. The tots came out piping hot and crunchy. Yum! They also serve wonderful sweet tea. Delicious! $25.50 (without tip), but I had leftovers to take back to the condo, so 2 meals for that price is really good! Truly a great experience for dinner. Our Host was friendly, our server Connor was absolutely fantastic. Helped with menu suggestions and delivered excellent service. Me and a friend had breakfast here and it was just meh. We ordered off the menu instead of getting the buffer: the veggie skillet and the 3-egg omelet with a side of cheese grits. My friend didn't enjoy her veggie skillet at all. It sounded great on the menu: egg and sautéed veggies. She's vegan so she nixed the eggs and asked them to just add extra veggies. When she got it, though, it was basically tons of potatoes and very little veggies. There wasn't any broccoli in it at all, which the menu said it should have. I didn't really enjoy my omelet. They put filler in the egg to make it fluffy, but it made it gross to me. Also, there were an abundance of green and red peppers. So much so that I barely got a taste of anything else. I ate a few bites and then left the rest alone. The cheesy grits were pretty good. I had to add salt, pepper, and ketchup to them. They were a bit grainy; I prefer smoother grits. I enjoyed the potatoes. We came back later for drinks and saw there was a special on the crab cake sliders so we got some. And YEAH. THOSE were delicious. Like, surprisingly delicious. That only restaurant for the Holiday Inn. The restaurant inside can be hit or miss. The food for dinner and breakfast were both good. Waiters can be another thing. The guy at dinner was soooo slow. For breakfast, Jessica was like a little bee going from table to table and checking on everyone. More staff like her would make the place great. The outside bar also part of the same and has the same problem. The guy was too busy checking his phone to wait on his customers. There were 3 staff and only one gal really working hard running drinks. One of the guys finally noticed we had been sitting at the bar for about 4 minutes once he stops playing with his phone. My review is based on the bill, not the food. I am a Southwest Airlines flight attendant. I stayed there at the Holiday Inn for work on 8/14/2023. I tried to order a "to-go" meal. I called front desk and was transferred 3x. I called the direct number 2x and never got an answer. I pulled up the menu online and decided on Grouper and a side salad. The online menu has different prices. $17 for grouper, $5 for side salad. I went down to order. Shane N was on staff. I was charged $31.80 for this. Grouper was $24, salad was $8 and a "Large Party Gratuity" was added for $5.76. I am one person, I picked it up, and that's because no one answered. I am not a "large party" but still was told by Shane, "that's what we do for to-go orders." It is not printed anywhere on the menu either, mind you. So even with my airline discount, I was overcharged. False advertising. The fish was one piece on a pile of fries. A massive pile. Salad was small container. $7 more than online menu for fish, $3 more for salad, and $5.76 for Large party. I am one person and didn't dine-in. Rip off and not fair. read more

Good breakfast buffet. It had lots of breakfast options including cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, eggs, bacon sausage, and biscuits. The staff was attentive it was crowded but the food was steady. Would have like to see it included in the resort fee but it didn't take away from eating on-site. There was TV in each booth it was kinda low because we didn't want to disturb the neighbors. My husband and I stayed at the resort this passed weekend. We had some appetizers a couple of times and breakfast one morning. The first night we had HOT chicken wings and the grilled chicken quesadilla. The wings were large and cooked perfect! They both were delicious! Sunday we had breakfast. My pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was cooked perfectly. He had eggs and a potato skillet that he really liked. That evening we had the chicken quesadilla again and this time it had a lot of pico inside of it that I wasn't a fan of. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good and we shared the buffalo chicken sliders. They were okay. Nothing special. We ate here five times during our stay. There were times we shouldn't have been charged a dime because it really was that bad, including undercooked food. Dishes came out missing items and by the time the item was brought out the food was darn near gone and you didn't need whatever it was you were waiting on anymore. I left this hotel feeling ripped of in the food department. I expect high prices at a resort. But what I do not expect with that is gross food that is under or over cooked, missing ingredients listed on the menu, or that does not come out as described on the menu. It's a shame. This eatery is in a prime spot but is poorly managed. Not once in any of our dining experiences did we see a manager or did anyone stop by and ask how it was going as they do in the majority of restaurants. The kids meals are processed garbage food. Albeit kids eat free, kids who are use to healthy meals likely won't eat much. We were pretty disappointed. We spent a decent amount of money and on a couple of occasions we shouldn't have been charged a dime. For example, the second time we ordered spinach dip we got raw chips. By the time fresh chips came the dip was already cold. The list is pretty long with things wrong at riptides. I would advise packing food or going to the pier for food. The only reason we didn't do that every meal is because we were exhausted and riptides was more about convenience. The service however, is terrible. They should change their name to ripoffs so people truly know what to expect. read more

This place was great! Family oriented! Stayed at the hotel here so the kids got to eat for free! They got a meal and a frozen popsicle! If you have kids you can't beat that! Plus they had a tv at the booth we stayed at so the kids got to eat dinner and watch tv ! Quiet dinner for the parents! Yes please! Great selection for the kids too a little of everything! Great variety for the adults too! We had the wings and nachos and they were great! Decent prices ! Payed 26 2 adults 3 kids ! Not bad! This being our hotel restaurant we visited 3 times during our stay. The food and drink menu had great options. For lunch one day, my friend and I both ordered the same thing just different meat options. Nachos! Delicious! I had chicken and she got pork. We couldn't eat the whole thing so I don't know why we just didn't share :) the wait staff was super sweet and helpful. Our last night there we sat and had dinner and both got the seafood platter. Ahhhmazing! After dinner we sat at the bar where Brandon had waited on us. He was super fun and easy to talk to. My friend and I do this thing where we just say "dos mas" and he caught on very quickly and whenever we said this he made us two drink concoctions and they were all super delicious! My husband and I just got into town and we wanted to watch the Dallas Cowboys game. Being the good wife I am, found this place and hoped with "sports grill" in the name, they were showing the game. The bar had 2 TVs and 1 wasn't working, but the 2 booths at the bar had their own personal TV with remote. The bartender found the game for us, told us what channel and even gave us a little tutorial on the remote (it was an odd remote). We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which came in a bread bowl and tasted like it came from a can. The Cesar salad had a ton of Parmesan cheese on it and lots of dressing. I ordered the crawfish burger, but only are the burger part, the rest wasn't very good. My husband ordered the wings and they were excellent and inexpensive.. My burger was a little more than I would have spent back home, but we were on vacation. I would only go back if we wanted to watch a sports game and only order the wings. read more

Great food amazing for kids!!! meh service. We're locals and we love going to riptides because we're a family of 6 with 4 kids ages 5,4,3 and 1 and they have AWESOME accommodations for kids. I absolutely recommend indoor seating because the booths have built in TVs which are a great distraction for the little ones while the grown ups sit and talk or if your a football fan like me you can catch the game with out other fans blocking the screen. And the volume is adjustable so it can be as loud or quiet as you like. They also have a coloring book menu for the kids with 4 crayons which is a lot better than most places that only offer 2 which is great if you aren't able to secure a booth. The best part however are the hotel accommodations they have a water park out back with outdoor seating if you have older kids who can swim until foods ready or something for the little ones to look forward to after dinner as well as FREE ice cream for all kids to follow up the meal. Speaking of the food they have a great menu for AMERICAN food burgers, salads, wings ALL delicious I would however avoid anything that's not American because the tacos, quesadilla etc aren't that great. Being a tourist town it's hard to find a good restaurant that offers so many accommodations AND great food usually the food is subpar and your paying for a great view or a playground etc but not here! Service on the other hand.....unfortunately not that great. Our server Kodi seemed more interested in flirting with his female coworkers than actually doing his job. We weren't able to get refills and had to get up and go to the bar and other servers had to pick up the slack and handle our requests while he was talking and laughing by the bar which as someone whose been a server is definitely irritating to watch. I know they can do better we had a server Ashley a few nights ago (we sat outside) who was PHENOMENAL she checked in with us frequently never had to ask for a refill or a box or anything!! She was SO Amazing with our little ones and made my little ones first birthday dinner a special occasion that I'll remember forever. I really enjoyed the food I had from here, roomservice and in person. The day my family and I visited the restaurant itself felt a little off though. It almost felt like the staff was annoyed that we were there? Maybe someone was just having a bad day. The menu looked great and I chose brisket tacos. The server said they might not carry brisket anymore. He asked for a backup order so I chose a pork belly dish. He said they didn't carry that at all. Update Response: Although Florida law requires everyone asks for ID, I was not asked to provide an ID by any other wait staff on duty inside nor outside the establishment. Therefore, I suggest you make it more cohesive amongst all of your staff to ask for ID or simply don't ask for ID, but once one person is singled out in a situation, it doesn't look good. If you are going to abide by "Florida's laws" be sure everyone is in agreement and abiding by these "Laws". Don't pick and choose when and who to ID I had a terrible experience here. The waiter was horrible and absolutely ruined my birthday. The food took forever to come and i was not able to order a drink from this particular waiter because i wasn't swimming with my ID! I am 31 today and I know I don't look a day under 21 plus the room was in my name and i was with my husband and two toddler daughters. I really think he was trying to be an a hole. I wish we would have eaten somewhere else!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have not been carded the entire time.... only when we finally decide to eat in the hotel.
