Pizza served up cold and slow. A sometimes-good walk-up shop with NY-style pre-made slices and some beer in cans available. You order at the counter or online and pick-up. Open late. When I had ordered previously, I always found that my pie was not ready and I had to wait. Each time, I waited a bit longer, and each time, still not ready. So, this time, ordered my pizza before 9:00 PM and did not depart immediately -- but instead waited a full 20 minutes before even walking there slow. When I arrived, the pizza was..... still not ready. It occurs to me that this shop is situated in a time zone that is somehow TEN MINUTES BEHIND the time your order is due. The guy says "five minutes." In any case, I stand, I wait.... and I.... wait some more. It wasn't five minutes. Lots of workers standing. Nearing the 9:30 mark, someone finally says "have you been helped?" And whadda ya know? Found out the reason I was still waiting - BECAUSE MY PIE WAS SITTING THERE THE WHOLE DAMN TIME! Getting cold. She says "we're just getting that cut up." But they weren't - it was already cut. They took one of their old pies off the rack and slid it right into a box. It wasn't in the oven. I could feel it was cold, but yes, I took it and went home. I can't say you couldn't eat it but.... it wasn't good. We did eat some of it, but only after baking it in my own oven. Good thing I ordered in advance, eh? If you are going to do a take out here, my advice would be to skip ordering altogether, and just go there and get the slices yourself. They won't be too fresh, but at least it will be fast. Better yet, go across the street to Quincy Hall, (or over to Wise Guys) where they will bake the pizza to order and have it hot and ready when you arrive. Keep in mind here they charge $32 for a pizza, full price only. NOT worth it, won't be back, do not recommend. read more

Solid pizza, with a good selection of slices to order or a whole pie like we did. Service could've been better. It was a longer wait than anticipated for the pizza, and the table wasn't cleaned prior to us sitting down. So had to wipe that off before eating. I have given this location multiple tries, but each time the experience is worse. Not only is their pizza soupy, full of oil, and has the thinnest layer of dough in the bottom imaginable (which is soft and soggy), but they continually get to go orders wrong when you go in and order at the counter. Really not sure how hard it is to type in an order into their system, but apparently what's even harder is getting the ticket order made correctly. I ordered a half cheese half pepperoni & sausage. Cashier verbally confirmed with me. I wait the 10 mins, to receive a reheated pizza, with a ticket stating "half pepperoni, half sausage" (incorrect) but the pizza itself didn't even follow that ticket order (I was given full pepperoni full sausage) proving that they absolutely just re heat old pizza and pass it off as fresh. Wish I checked the box before leaving but it was sealed and I assumed even if the pizza was shit, the order was right. Silly me. read more

You can never have enough pizza joints in the Arlington area. Andy's has arrived and it's left quite a foot print here. One of several locations in the DMV area, Andy's does NY style pizza by the slice and whole pies. I've made a few late night runs here whenever I'm in the Ballston/VA Square area as they are open until midnight and sometimes later depending on the circumstances. There's a variety of slices here such as the buffalo chicken, chicken pesto, pepperoni/sausage, veggie, supreme, truffle mushroom, etc. I usually pair a slice with a beer; several local brews are available here. Hard to beat a slice and a pint/can; especially after a late night of rowdiness. Solid pizza that's available in a pinch. read more

This review is long overdue. While visiting some residents of Ballston Place Apartments on my way out, I stumbled on a door that landed me smack dab into Andy's Pizza. Man oh man, can you imagine living in a building connected to a pizza joint?!?!? Houston that would be a big problem!lol The place was packed and the music was jumping. It was a Wednesday where I believe it was either half priced or discounted bottles of wine with your pizza where an employee Joe was offering wine samples upon entry. Then there was Steve the manager offering recommendations to a lost & confused soon to be patron. Depending on the day I love me a "pie" with the works or I can do a straight veggie. In comes the Mushroom & Onion Pie.... The caramelized onions and roasted mushrooms made me forget all the other toppings. It was piping hot, extremely cheesy and straight up awesome! You can get pizza by slice or the whole darn pie which was what all the other customers were purchasing. Now the whole pie is a little pricey at $25-$30 for 8 slices but it's well worth it and good to know you can get a single slice. read more

Love these guys! Michelle and BB are superstars, glad to finally put a face to the superstars packing our orders perfectly since the Ballston location opened. And the pizza is one of the best in the area. Crust is not doughy, thin yet soft. Location is spacious and clean, good music. Definitely my favorite pizza chain in the DMV. Although I miss my NY pizza, this place makes me feel at home. I do wish their cheese slice was a bit cheaper but I can't complain. I also wish they used the Too Good To Go app because I've noticed they have a ton of leftover pizza at the end of the night, which I would be happy to pay for rather than have it all get thrown away. I had never had Andy's pizza before and I was amazed with how good it is! You can come in and grab a few slices to go or eat there, or you can order a full pizza. We've tried the pepperoni/sausage, buffalo chicken and white pizza. All were very good, my favorites being the buffalo chicken and white pizza. The dough is perfect. My friend and I were walking back from grocery shopping in Clarendon when suddenly, our feet dragged us towards the pizza parlor. Next thing we knew, we entered in the double doors and were inside. At that point, we kind of have to buy a slice, right? MARGHERITA SLICE - 4.50 +BURRATA The margherita slice really hit the spot this past Tuesday. The sauce was sweet and flavorful, and there was a legit cheese pull. The burrata was creamy and fresh; its cold temperature contrasted well with the freshly heated up slice that was warm and toasty. Each slice is pretty big, and it makes a great snack at any point of the day (given that they have relatively late hours). The staff is nice and they accidentally heated up an extra slice which I was happy to take. The parlor is spacious with plenty of seating and high-top standing tables. We usually already have food plans, but if I just want to snack when I'm visiting, this is usually a stop for me. The slices and variety are as good as ever, and I appreciate how Andy's Pizza still promotes the two slice and drink combos. There are several tables for dining in, but I appreciate how you can easily grab some spice or pepper packets if you are ordering to go. It's only been a handful of times, but every time the staff have been efficient and professional. They are usually playing music and showing sports too, and those have contributed to an overall positive experience. Super friendly guys and fast service. Went on a Sunday afternoon around 1 and it wasn't crowded. Got the 2 slice and Coke combo for approx. $11. Not a bad deal at all, considering the slices are decently sized. The sausage and green bell pepper was super flavorful and crispy. The buffalo chicken had the perfect amount of soft heat with green onion rounding out the buffalo. Decent amount of dining space with a TV. Definitely going back to try the other slices read more

I'm glad that Andy's opened in Arlington. I've been there 3 times in the past week. Each time was a different experience. They just opened so I won't judge too harshly. The pizza is good but has potential to be great. They need to add more cheese and cook it longer. The bottom of the pizza gets soggy way too quickly. One of my friends who used to live in NYC was really excited when she heard there will be an Andy's opening up in VA Square (NY style pizza) and since pizza is one of the things toddler loves decided to give it a try. Ordered a bunch of slices to go: cheese, meat lovers, onion and mushroom one, and margarita. I thought they were pretty good but probably would be a lot better in Person. Definitely need to try it in person next time instead of waiting 15 minutes until we get home with the to go. read more

I have been to several Andy's Pizza and loved them. This location has been the worst one. We order a pie of sausage and pepper and a buffalo chicken slice while we waited. The buffalo chicken slice was amazing and perfectly cooked. The pie smelled great, but when we got home and started eating it, the crust was burnt to hell making the pizza taste bitter and unpleasant. Very sad that 70% of the whole pizza was like this. I love Andy's and love this new location! There is so much seating compared to some of their other locations. When I went around dinner time, there was a line but they kept the wait times down. They are efficient in how they're serving the pizza (by the slice at least). Slices are about $5-7 and decently sized. I tried their buffalo chicken pizza and the meat lovers and enjoyed both. Andy's serves some of my favorite pizza in the area so I will keep coming back. read more
