I have to be honest, I have NO IDEA how this pizza is so highly rated. First of all... the location isn't very nice inside. It's dirty there are hardly any places to sit. There are pizza boxes everywhere in dining room and one gross trash. The employee we interacted with was rude and standoffish. He said they were out of Margherita pizza... at 7pm on a Saturday. But, they actually had it. Ok... I got my Margherita and burrata slice and it was pretty tasty. I like the giant dollop of burrata on top... but burrata could make anything taste good!! It's creamy and melty. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni and it came out BURNT on the bottom. And it's incredibly greasy. My entire paper plate was COVERED in grease. When I alerted the same employee that the pizza was burnt, he tried to tell me that's how they cook them. Lol. They made us a second pie and it was OK. Again, super greasy, and not much flavor. I expect more from NY style pizza. We won't be back!!! read more

After coming back from Europe, I craved good quality pizza. Andy's hits the mark. I loved the burrata margherita pizza. The crust and dough had the right consistency and texture while the pizza sauce was delicious. Loved it and will return when craving pizza. Quick service and small but homey atmosphere. I like how you can purchase an individual slice if you don't want to eat much or want to sample many pizzas. read more

If you're in the DC area and don't stop at Andy's Pizza, you're doing it wrong. This place nails it every single time--crispy crust, zero flop, and just straight-up perfect slices. You can actually pick it up and eat it without everything sliding off, which already puts it ahead of most spots. And let's talk about that deal: 2 slices and a Coke for $10? That's hands-down one of the best values around, especially for the quality you're getting. It's the kind of combo that keeps you coming back. Had the Buffalo crispy chicken slice. Very large slice, mozzarella, provolone, ricotta, crispy chicken, buffalo sauce. Very fresh and tasty. Had a kale salad with goat cheese and lemon dressing. It was very good, a lot of cranberries. Service was outstanding with a smile. Atmosphere laid back with music in the background. read more

We stumbled upon Andy's Pizza while shopping in the D.C. area and figured you can never go wrong with pizza, so we decided to give it a try. As soon as you walk in, you can order your pizza at the counter, and once it's ready, they bring it out to your table. We also noticed they had coolers stocked with bottled wine, so we decided to order a bottle of Cabernet. The wine was good, but it was a little warmer than we prefer. We like our Cabernet slightly chilled, so that would have made it even better. For our meal, we ordered the Pepperoni Special, which came with pepperoni, cheese, basil, and a drizzle of honey. For me, the honey really made the pizza stand out as this was my first time eating honey on pizza. It definitely added some sweetness, but it wasn't over bearing. Our pizza arrived hot, fresh, and made to order. Although we had to wait a few minutes, it was definitely worth it. It was very delicious, and the crust was thin and crispy, which made it not too heavy. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but it has plenty of seating and a couple of TVs. We visited just after lunch, so a few tables still needed to be wiped down. The staff apologized and were right on it to clean the tables. Overall, we had a great visit and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We'd definitely stop by Andy's Pizza again the next time we're in the D.C. area. read more

Stopped by Andy's Pizza in Alexandria on a cold night while in town for work. I'm from CA and it was my first time in the area. I noticed a steady flow of people going in and out, which is always a good sign. The staff was friendly right away and suggested the 2 slices and a Coke deal, solid recommendation. I also ordered wings. I went with traditional buffalo, which were good, but I should've tried the Old Bay wings since that seems like the local move. Tyler, who I think is the manager or owner, was very nice and welcoming. That kind of hospitality stands out, especially when you're new in town. Overall, great quick stop for pizza by the slice. Good vibe, friendly service, and a spot I'd come back to next time I'm in Alexandria. read more

Andy's Pizza in Old Town is a fantastic pizza spot in Old Town, Alexandria. We ordered the pepperoni and sausage pizza as well as the white pizza, and both were absolutely delicious; fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The inside is cozy, warm, and nicely decorated, making it a great place to sit and enjoy a meal. They also offer wine, which is a nice touch and pairs well with the food. Overall, everything was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back! Service was quick and polite and they offered Veterans' discount to my husband which is an added bonus. read more

While visiting National Harbor, we were craving some authentic New York-style pizza, so I did a quick Google search and found Andy's Pizza--about 10 miles away in Alexandria. The drive was easy--just off the interstate and only a couple miles once you exit. Parking wasn't the best (street parking only), but I was able to run in and grab the pizzas pretty quickly, so it wasn't a big deal. We ordered three pizzas (since they only come in one size): cheese, pepperoni, and their "carnivore." Now, I will say...that carnivore pizza was missing a few things to truly be a carnivore in my opinion--it only had sausage and pepperoni. But hey, it still got the job done. The pizzas came out hot, fresh, and delicious! The crust had that perfect crisp, and the flavor was definitely on point. Service was great too--the gentleman at pickup was kind, made a little joke, and told me to enjoy, which I always appreciate. All in all, it was a smooth, satisfying experience. A solid 4/5! I'd definitely be back and would recommend if you're in the area! read more

Perfect small pizzeria vibe with a community table, booths and side by side seating where you can look out the window. The pizza is perfect thin crust and you can get whole pies or by the slice. Beer, wine, homemade lemonade... you'll need it after a slice of Buffalo Chicken pizza. Oh, and the staff is friendly and fast. Love this place! read more

Stopped here after an event nearby to get a slice of pizza for dinner. Love that they sell pizza by the slice. I got the 2 slice +coke special for $10. First slice not pictured because I was eating halfway and realize I forgot a picture I forgot to ask for ranch but when I told one of the employees he bought it to me no problem. The service was quick and fast and everyone was very polite. While I was eating I was amazed at how many people came in and out and the staff handled it with ease. There is plenty of seating whether you are solo or with a group, and everything is very clean. read more

Really good NY style pizza in the DMV. Several locations in the area. I really like this location, the place is super clean and the people are super nice. My daughter loves the crispy wings and I love that I can buy pizza by the slide. Other sides are delicious too. Definitely fresh ingredients and the crust is perfect. The place is small, but nice for a quick bite if you're in the area. I really like the variety of local beers, in draft and cans. read more

Unfortunately this place was so unorganized during our order, they weren't communicating with each other and got all confused causing a big backup with orders. We didn't get one of the slices of pizza we bought and they weren't paying attention, so my husband had to get back in line and ordered another slice. So we ended up double paying due to their mistake. Pizza was ok but not great. Wouldn't recommend trying this place out too many frustrations. It's a great location in Old Town just needs some changes! read more

Solid by the slice joint! Their crust is crispy and has the slightest bit of chew on the edge. Yum! My only disappointment was that the slices weren't bigger. My eyes wanted the slice to be bigger but really a single slide was really all that I should eat. We dropped in for a late lunch and had 3 slices between 2 of us. Their cheese was excellent for a cheese pizza. The right amount of cheese and sauce. Simple and delicious. The margarita had big leaves of basil and the buffalo chicken was covered in chicken. Props to Andy's for a perfect lunch. There's a large community table some smaller tables and two bars along the window and side of the dining room for seating. read more

Andy's pizza is absolutely delicious. The crust is thin and crunchy but not hard. The Mushroom and onion pizza has a white sauce that is not overpowering; all the ingredients are balanced. I also had a slice of the Burrata Margherita. The additional burrata cheese is worth the additional $1.50. Next time, I plan to purchase an entire pie. read more

Already was a fan of Andy's pizza and now I've fallen in even more in love with the Old Town location. The seating area is really spacious. They offer fresh lemonade with your slice. The team was friendly. I had the cheese slice and a buffalo chicken slice. The buffalo chicken was by far my favorite with so much flavor. After hearing so much about Andy's Pizza, I finally checked it out a few months ago and I have not been able to get pizza anywhere else since because Andy's Pepperoni Special is that good! This location was the first time I went to Andy's. Order the pepperoni special. You will love it! There is street parking only. Seating is VERY limited and we had to take our food to a bench outside, which was fine as the weather was good that day. Ordering was chaotic and difficult from how crowded it was that evening. Lighting inside is pretty dark too. Overall, food was 5/5 and Andy's Pizza is the best pizza I've ever had! read more

YES!...YES!...And more YES! Andy's is my favorite pizza spot in the DMV area, and the best thing is they have multiple locations throughout. The touch of sourdough in the crust is just simply amazing. The have great walk-in/walk-up specials at the Old Towne Alexandria location where you can get two slices and a drink for like $10, which you can't beat. This location has seating but is rather on the small side. Parties of 4 or more might have a tough time finding seating, so take that in mind. The staff is quick on point and nice, I've never had a problem in the many times I've been there. Pro Tips: 1. I personally like the taste of their pizza when you get the whole pie rather than the slice which essentially is quickly reheated. 2. Their pizza on the reheat is top tier, which is another reason to get the whole pie. They have oven instructions on the box but, just listen to me...Pre heat an air fryer at 400 pop the slice in for about 1-2 minutes and it's perfect just like as if they reheated it at the brick & mortar. 3. Follow steps 1 & 2 It's understandable that a whole pie may be too much or out of the price range but trust me it will be worth it in the end for 2nd dinner later or lunch/dinner the next day. You can't go wrong here. read more

I can't believe it's taken me so long to not only learn about but try Andy's Pizza out! It's a quality pizza by the slice joint that you can also get full size pies, chicken wings, chicken tenders, and salads from. Nobody told me about the lemonade situation. I ordered the strawberry lemonade thinking nothing much of it and was shocked with pure childlike delight at the sight of the lemonade in a 24oz plastic kitchen storage container! It was a feast for the eyes and for the tastebuds as well since it tasted perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness and tartness. Don't sleep on their Old Bay Fries. They are crisp, seasoned well, and massively portioned for the price - great for sharing. I'll stop in to get a slize of pepperoni, but I much prefer to be able to get a whole pie of the Diavolo. Their generosity in the calabrian ricotta make this a unique tasting pizza that's good fresh, reheated, or cold. The ceasar salad isn't anything over the top, but it is a large, reliable salad if nothing else to help balance out the heaviness of everything else on the menu. read more

I was really excited to try Andy's pizza. I heard good things about it, and have been wanting to try it for a while now. I ordered the pepperoni special, which was very good. I ordered it to go and ate it around an hour later, so the crust was a little bit tough and hard to bite through, but it still tasted really good. I liked the hot honey quite a bit, but it was pretty spicy. I would definitely come back again, and would highly recommend trying it! read more

Amazing spot! I stopped by real quick and grabbed a slice of burrata margherita pizza. It was delicious--I was in NYC the day before, and it was comparable to the slices I had up there. Staff were all working hard and were super friendly and patient while I was taking forever to decide what I wanted. This is the second location I've been to and it was my first time trying the burrata margarita pizza and let me tell you it's the best pizza slice I've ever had!!! They had high tops and booths you could sit in and it's the perfect quick little casual lunch/dinner spot while walking through Old Town. Will be back soon! read more

Visiting the child and needed a quick dinner idea. Child suggested this and being a pizza snob I said yes. Functions like a Chicago deep dish in that you tell them when you want to pick up. Walked in and it reminded me of a NYC pizzeria. Slices and calzones in a case for your choice. We ordered the carnivore and pepperoni special with burrata and hot honey. Both were delicious and as close to NYC I've had since moving to the South. Would definitely go back and eat in to see what it tastes like hot out of the oven. Probably my favorite pizza place in the DMV area. Amazing pizza every time. Love the sausage and pepperoni, and the white pizza. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.

I've been to most of the Andy's locations in the DC area and while they are all good, the one in alexandria really has the best service. The pizza always tastes fresh and the staff is very friendly and always greets me with a smile. Definitely recommend! read more

He angrily told me that the spaghetti was for my wife and to "calm down". 10 minutes later he brought deep fried chicken parm. Neither dish was good. The Marsala was floating in oil. Plastic utensils only, the place was dirty and generally unkept. Save your money, don't go.

As for this venue, it's carryout only, so no seating inside, but there are tables outside along the sidewalk where I sat and ate my food. Overall I thought this was really good!
