I saw this spot and got excited about an Italian sandwich but I'm thinking now maybe that isn't their speciality. I will certainly have to go back and try and cheesesteak but personally, the bread was a bit too hard for a nice cold Italian. The fries were certainly not for me, that isn't to say they're bad but I wouldn't want seasoning on them. The service, on the other hand, was fast and very helpful despite a lunchtime rush. Brought my family here for dinner. We ordered the drunken love. I found it a bit odd that they just dumped the sauce on the top of the pizza, it made it quite messy and wasn't what was presented in the pictures on the menu. It was super tasty though, i would order again but ask them to put the sauce on the pizza first. We also ordered the risotto balls and mozzarella cubes, both delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the Retzo sandwich we shared. All of the flavors were there but the bread was pretty thick and hard. We also received the sandwich like 20 minutes before everything else so it was cold before we got our other food. Overall, would return for the Pizza but likely not the sandwiches. Truthfully the sandwiches are slightly overpriced at $16 each in my opinion. I was so excited to try out this spot but was immediately put off by the prices. After tax, it's like $16.50 for less than a foot long, and $24 for a pizza (though the pizza is on the large side). Grazie Grazie recently opened in the Ballston area of Arlington. The space is not huge but big enough for two eating areas and they also have some areas where you can eat out front. My only complaint inside was that it was rather warm with all of the lights and no fans for circulation. I ordered the NYC bodega sandwich which was the Cesar sandwich on a seeded role. There was an option for grilled or breaded chicken cutlet. I went with the grilled chicken. Although the sandwich was cooked perfectly, I thought the cesar dressing was a tad bit overpowering for the sandwich. I was only able to eat half. The waffle fries were cooked to perfection. Grazie Nonna is one of my favorite restaurants, so i was so excited to see Grazie Grazie in the neighborhood... Alas it does not carry the 2 best dishes from the DC mothership (the vodka sauce pasta and the drunken love pizza). A favorite spot with our family and sure am glad this location opened! A lot closer for us than the Wharf location and a lot easier to get to and for parking. This is located across from Ballston Quarter Mall and right next to the Shake Shack. There are kiosk stations for easy ordering and lots of tables to dine-in both indoors and a few outdoors. My go-to cheesesteak sandwich is the Truffle Shuffle and it is delicious! Always prepared fresh and hot off the grille, this is a hearty sandwich! The good (but not great): the large caesar was good and I liked the extra avocado but $15 was a bit wild for lettuce, parm crisps, and half an avocado. The spicy vodka parm sandwich had good flavor but wasn't really spicy and the basil wasn't the best. The mediocre: the 8 + 1 was not that great. I'm so glad Grazie made it to Ballston! This was one of my favorites when I lived in DC. They are very consistent in delivering great Italian/NYC style sandwiches. The sides are decent, they never "wow" me but I usually order delivery so I guess it's hard for delivery fries to be amazing. Anyway, they forgot my fries this time but luckily Uber Eats refunded. I ordered the week or second week they opened so I'm sure they're still busy or figuring things out. Def recommend the NYC bodega sandwich, chicken parm, or new buff chicken. Came here today which is their 2nd day being open in this location. This place was busy! I liked ordering off the electric monitors so I could look at each thing on the menu and not feel like I'm holding up the line trying to decide. We got the Philly special cheesesteak, bocelli, 2 cokes, and 2 cannolis to split. It total paying I think $68. The cheesesteak had great flavor and really good choice of bread (seeded Italian) though I wish it was like 3" bigger for the price- $17. The pizza was good too though it was missing basil and pretty sure they forgot to make my pizza and took about 40 minutes to get it. $24 for 8 decent sized slices. I've never had a cannoli before but wouldn't get it again... flavor just didn't taste very good to me. My husband said "not the best and not the worst cannoli he's ever had". Those were $10 for 2. Cokes were $7 for 2. Would definitely come back here for the cheesesteak and pizzas if I was in the area. Cheesesteak is not a shareable size. You can share it but you'll wish you hadn't. You also order for a screen then wait for your order or you have the option to order ahead online. We did an online order for a future set time and it was ready right at the time we requested. Seems like they get their orders fulfilled timely. For the sandwiches they were very good! Bread was fresh and soft, flavors were great.
