    Hot oil and pepperoni pizza
    Rose S.

Solid spot for pizza and a beer. They're known for their hot oil, so I tried it with pepperoni and thought it was good! It's a very interesting thin crust style - hadn't had anything like it before but it hit the spot. There's a variety of seating, including an upstairs section which I had never noticed as a pedestrian walking by. The menu is pretty straight forward... it's just pizza. I appreciated that they had a variety of sports on to watch (gymnastics, hockey, and some weird game show where people climb up what appears to be a slippery bounce house lol). Would return again!

I've heard great things about Colony Grill's "hot oil" pizza and that they make one of the best pizzas in the DMV. I think that can be true if you enjoy the pizza when dining in. I ordered a pizza to-go for a "take out potluck party" this past Friday on Uber Eats. Everything got to me perfectly fine and the pizza was packaged in a sturdy box. PIZZA - 11.95 +1.95 for hot oil +3.90 for 2x sausage +3.90 for 2x mushroom On Uber Eats, the pizza was 14.34, +2.35 for the hot oil, and +4.70 for the toppings. By the time we opened it up to enjoy the pizza (~1 hour after delivery), it was a bit soggy. There were plenty of toppings (since I did order extra for both), the hot oil provided a bit of spice, maybe? The dough itself was thin and a bit flimsy. It would have been nice if the freshness of pizza lasted longer than this. Overall, nothing extraordinary and almost boring. Some of my friends enjoyed it, though. If I get pizza at Colony Grill again, I'll probably enjoy it dine-in to make sure I eat it when it's as fresh as possible.

Love this pizza!!! Service and environment are great too. Sports are always on and the servers are attentive!

Pizza is great. I'm a big fan of thin crust pizza and Colony grill has very thin crust pizza. Each pizza is large but I recommend getting 1 per person. The service is very quick and friendly and the manage came and visited and was very friendly as well! Nice place for pizza and beer with lots of TVs in the bar area. Something to note is it's only pizza and salad served there, but if you're going for a pizza and beer kind of night. This is a good spot to go!

15 Mar 25 Update: Colony Grill was a perfect stop to celebrate St. Patty's Day weekend when other local Irish pubs were packed. We ordered a couple Smithwicks and Guinness along with their corned beef and cabbage pizza special and another pizza with sausage, onions, mushrooms, peppers, cherry hot peppers and hot oil. Everything was great. Thanks!

We saw the shamrock on the sign so thought this might have some Irish dishes like bangers and mash or shepherds pie, but alas no. This was a quick stop to grab dinner while we were in the area before heading home late so this will be a quick review. The only food they serve is pizza. If you're serving only one item, then it better be good. Luckily, it was. I rather like thin crust pizza and I did like this with meatballs, mushrooms, and onions. I like the crispiness of the crust. It made holding it easy to eat. Service was also good. Street parking or a nearby garage.

This pizza was AWESOME! it was great thin crust pizza. We got three pizzas for four of us (two teenagers). Our waiter was very friendly and answered all our questions (What is a stinger? What is hot oil. How big are your pizzas?) The alcohol selection is fantastic. If you are visiting the area or live in the area, you need to stop by and get a pizza. There is street parking or a garage you can park in.

If you're in the area and looking for some good ole pizza, in a clean family friendly sports bar environment, with great staff and comfortable space, look no further. Our server apologized to us for overlooking our table, and the hostess apologized for the oversight and wait time despite them not being busy- those apologies and at the follow up attentiveness goes sooo far for us!! We did the gluten free dairy free option- and it was decent. I WOULD say- if they asked lost dog cafe where they get their gf crust from, and added their toppings then they'd have a hit on their hands !! Their blanco tequila option was solid and reasonably priced. I would be curios to take a bite of their regular pie and see what it's all about. It is ALL they do- so an interesting concept for sure !

First time trying this restaurant and Connecticut-style pizza. No idea how it compares to the classic Connecticut pizza, but for someone who grew up on NJ and NY pizza THE PIZZA HERE IS EASILY THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Truly mind-boggling that someone can enjoy a thin layer of tortilla-like cardboard topped with a microscopically thin layer of sauce, tiny bit of cheese and an enormous spilling of oil!!! It is a flavorless cardboard with a ton of oil on top. Had the stinger pizza today and the peppers are indeed spicy, but there was zero flavor in anything, including the peppers they were only spicy not flavorful. The only reason I'm giving it a second star is because we really had fantastic service - the servers were wonderful, and the seating was comfortable, the restaurant is cleanI. If this is your thing - go for it!

Stopped in here for a quick lunch and a beer and was not disappointed. I got the pepperoni pizza with black olives and mushrooms, and found it was the perfect size for two to share. No leftovers here. Love the thin crust. Was perfect. Service was quick and friendly. What more could you ask, haha. Would certainly stop in again but would love if they added some apps . Can a girl get some chicken wings or mozz sticks haha. Ambiance is your typical clean bar setting. Did have a family friendly vibe as well and great cost point for a pizza. Pizza and beer in the DMV for 25 bucks. Yes please!

Colony Grill is such a fun place to hangout. The servers are all extremely nice and they have a bunch of big TVs to watch the game. The Guinness is always cold and the pizza is always hot. Their pizza is actually insanely good- super thin crispy crust that never flops. They have many toppings and variations. We love the margarita and the hot oil with sausage. Highly recommend checking them out.

Lots of standing room, limited seating, but the patrons are young, beautiful, and mostly college students from nearby schools. Not my crowd, but met one of my friends here after work in Arlington around 6:30 since the weather was perfect yesterday. We decided to go to my favorite restaurant for a more elevated experience and live music. One day, I'll come back to watch people ride the bull downstairs, which I imagine that to be hilarious and entertaining. The bartender told me the place doesn't come alive until about 9pm, so that's when it's crowded and probably off the chain.

I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

Could not ask for a better parking situation. Ordering was almost seamless. We got there at 1 o'clock, middle of the day on 4/18, plenty of empty tables. We went up to the bartender to take our order, and then gave them our table number and they delivered it. The QR code on the table only shows you the menu. It is not used for ordering, which was odd these days. Chill and super awesome bartender with the mother of all hickeys. Good pours. No Skrewball :-( I had the special, two hot dogs with tater tots. When it said double, I wasn't sure if that meant double the tater tots, but that meant actually two hot dogs. Really good. I also had the other special, the two pancakes. I meant to get the sausage, but they gave me the bacon instead. It was great. Well worth it. I thought that was the better value of the meals. They got a lot of board and card games. Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.

At first, you'll see what looks like just a pizza shop -- but if you head in and either use the side door or walk through and climb a set of stairs, you'll find the speakeasy upstairs. Very cool vibe: dark, cozy, and date-night ready. Drinks: 4/5 I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and it was definitely the highlight of the night but sweeter than I would have liked. They served it over a stamped solid block of ice (a small detail I ). My friend was abstaining from alcohol that night and asked for a non-alcoholic cocktail. To our surprise, they didn't just hand her a lemonade like most places -- they actually made her a crafted virgin drink, which she loved. Food: 3/5 We ordered fries and a slice of pepperoni pizza. The fries turned out to be waffle fries (not mentioned on the menu) and were overly crispy, so not really our favorite. The pizza was fine -- clearly sourced from the shop downstairs -- but it leaned oily and didn't really wow us. Service: 5/5 Pretty standard -- nothing over the top, but not neglectful either. Drinks came out reasonably fast, food followed, and we were checked on enough without it feeling pushy. Vibes: 4/5 The speakeasy itself is definitely the selling point. Dark, intimate, and stylish -- you feel like you've found a little hidden spot. All in all, the cocktails are the reason to come, especially if you're into whiskey. The food was forgettable, but it's convenient that you can order pizza upstairs. We spent about $30-40 for drinks and snacks, which isn't shocking for Old Town. Would I go back? Maybe if I was already in the area, but for a dedicated whiskey night, I'd probably head somewhere else.
