This location wasn't all that bad. I tried the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae and it was alright. There could have been a better balance of shortcake to custard, or maybe I just don't like custard all that much. Still haven't decided. The place itself was fine. I admittedly have a huge sweet tooth. I'm from California so whenever I visit Texas, I always know to look for the frozen custard which we don't have a lot of places near me in California. I ordered the strawberry shortcake which is a limited time only and it was soooo good! They should make it a regular item! My brother got the lemon bar concrete and my mom ordered the butter pecan concrete. I didn't try theirs but they really enjoyed theirs as well! If you download the app, you can get a free small concrete with one topping after your first visit. Andy's is a tasty treat, especially on a hot Texas summer day. They have a good variety of flavors and types of frozen custard to choose from. I've tried the jackhammers, concretes, and even the milk shakes, and all were delicious! My only complaints are that this place is a bit more expensive than your average Dairy Queen, and that whenever I have a coupon or reward, they always seem to have trouble applying the discount--I literally have to double check them every time. read more

Disappointing. I went for the blackberry concrete. Medium is 16oz, but with special "cup" the medium was a 20oz today for $7.57. First of all, it's always disappointing to get a frozen "concrete" and it's as soft as a soft serve from Dairy Queen. It's not frozen custard at that point. Second, I got about 14ounces in my 20 ounce cup. Plenty of blackberries, so that was good. But a disappointing experience. I prefer curleys frozen custard on camp Bowie. At least fill the cup all the way up. I can get 64 ounces of bluebell for $7.57. At least gimme a full custard for that price. Custard was basically milk before I got out of parking lot. I have been stopping at Andy's once a week for a few weeks. I love your custard when done right. However, the last two times I went my cup was 3/4 full and barely had any toppings or hot fudge. When I go to order a simple chocolate milkshake with only chocolate custard, it seems to mostly get made with vanilla custard and chocolate sauce. I cannot fathom why this is even in the realm of options for ingredients. This is such a great location of Andy's. Everyone here is very friendly and always treats their customers well. My favorite cold and yummy dessert here is the triple chocolate concrete. Their concretes are always so smooth and full of all the mix ins. While I've never been inside, the drive through runs smoothly and I've never had any issues. While the drive thru service was good and quick and the custard, itself, is tasty I left disappointed. Both my spouse and I ordered a concrete but the topping was sparce and not really mixed through. It was just topping resting on the bottom of the cup and custard swirled on top. I am apprehensive about chains because the quality of production sometimes diminishes with the quantity of locations. They have splits, sundaes, drinks like malts and floats, and then there is the concrete. The concretes are the custard with toppings. I didn't care for the splits. I prefer the concretes. I like to customize my own. Next thing you know it has like 10 toppings and I got a $10 ice cream. I'm glad things are opening finally after living in this area for 9 years.
