The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, sunshine-filled space that smelled absolutely divine--fresh, homemade waffle cones baking and filling the room with happiness. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and even offered samples (yes please!), which made choosing a flavor both fun and deliciously difficult. After a few tastes, I landed on Sweet Cream and Cookie Crush--and wow. The sweet cream was classic and comforting, instantly reminding me of my grandmother's homemade ice cream. The cookie crush brought bold flavor: rich, house-made dark chocolate cookies folded into salty vanilla ice cream. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and indulgent. Pros: Warm and happy aesthetic, heavenly cone smells, and super friendly staff. Cons: The inside is a bit small with limited seating--but during warmer days, the outdoor patio offers plenty of space to enjoy your scoop. I will absolutely be returning to Melt. Melt is always a treat every time I go. They have doggie safe ice cream, and always have new seasonal flavors. The service is fast and the lines are always long. Ive had a birthday cake from there, I've tried their banana splits. The prices are high but the quality of ice cream is always worth it. It's been awhile since we've been to Melt but we were in the area and wanted something sweet. No wait today since it was a weekday around lunch time. The patio is dog friendly and they do have dog treats for sale - but my picky dogs didn't care for them. The ice cream was delicious like I remembered however my husband got one of the seasonal flavors and it was a bit too sweet for my liking. There was a line out the door - and that's pretty standard for this place. Eating inside is cramped - and part of the reason for the line out the door is the minuscule entrance and tiny dining area. But there's a large outdoor patio area, as well. All that said - zero ambiance. It's definitely function over form. In the land of gourmet ice cream, I'm not sure it's 'line out the door' worthy. With such limited space, handheld or QR code menus are needed. Flavor options are limited and uninspired basics. We tried the pecan and the coffee ice cream. The ice cream itself was just ok, nothing spectacular for the prices. I had the cookie crush, which had a bit of frost bite at the bottom, due to it being at the bottom of the tin pan.
