Melt is awesome! Incredibly good ice cream flavors! Love them all but I highly recommend the lemon/blueberry pie flavor!

It's been awhile since I've had ice cream from Melt. First time at this location. I decided to get a pint, since they were having a sale for 20% off. Still rather pricy even after the discount for a pint of ice cream, but I really wanted to try these flavors. I got a Pint - Texas Lavender Honey Crunch, which was really creamy and had the swirls of honey with a hint of lavender. My bf wasn't a fan, since he doesn't like flower tasting desserts, but I like it. I also got the Pint - Peach Cobbler Cheesecake, since I saw it as a new flavor. It had chunks of cheesecake with a peach flavored ice cream. I didn't see any peaches, but maybe it has some towards the bottom. Overall, a pretty good ice cream haul. read more

Melt is always a treat every time I go. They have doggie safe ice cream, and always have new seasonal flavors. The service is fast and the lines are always long. Ive had a birthday cake from there, I've tried their banana splits. The prices are high but the quality of ice cream is always worth it. Most recently I took my nephew to eat ice cream at melt he thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat outside as it was still nice out on the porch. There's limited seating inside. The patio is dog friendly and they do have dog treats for sale - but my picky dogs didn't care for them. The ice cream was delicious like I remembered however my husband got one of the seasonal flavors and it was a bit too sweet for my liking. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, sunshine-filled space that smelled absolutely divine--fresh, homemade waffle cones baking and filling the room with happiness. The staff welcomed us with genuine smiles and even offered samples (yes please!), which made choosing a flavor both fun and deliciously difficult. After a few tastes, I landed on Sweet Cream and Cookie Crush--and wow. The sweet cream was classic and comforting, instantly reminding me of my grandmother's homemade ice cream. The cookie crush brought bold flavor: rich, house-made dark chocolate cookies folded into salty vanilla ice cream. The perfect balance of sweet, salty, and indulgent. Pros: Warm and happy aesthetic, heavenly cone smells, and super friendly staff. Cons: The inside is a bit small with limited seating--but during warmer days, the outdoor patio offers plenty of space to enjoy your scoop. I will absolutely be returning to Melt. Small, but mighty. The homemade waffle cones were being made and the smell was wafting all the way down the street. The flavors were good. The ice cream was smooth. There was a line out the door - and that's pretty standard for this place. Eating inside is cramped - and part of the reason for the line out the door is the minuscule entrance and tiny dining area. But there's a large outdoor patio area, as well. All that said - zero ambiance. It's definitely function over form. In the land of gourmet ice cream, I'm not sure it's 'line out the door' worthy. But it's yummy - you get a lot for the price - and the seasonal flavors (all I've ever tried there) have always been fresh and delicious. read more

This is a tiny shop with limited space. The menu is above your head as you walk in. You have to tilt your head back and stand in the doorway as you read it. With such limited space, handheld or QR code menus are needed. Flavor options are limited and uninspired basics. We tried the pecan and the coffee ice cream. Counter staff were not welcoming or friendly, but they also weren't rude. They were just kind of there. The ice cream itself was of quality and was really good. On a hot day, melt is a great option. It had to be about 90 degrees and the ice cream lasted 30 minutes before it started melting. I had a chance to enjoy each flavor on the list. The ice cream itself was just ok, nothing spectacular for the prices. I had the cookie crush, which had a bit of frost bite at the bottom, due to it being at the bottom of the tin pan. Apple butter - you can taste the butter in the ice cream and the apple caramel tastes amazing. The apple flavor is subtle, but still there! Highly recommend this fall flavor. Pumpkin spice is their non-dairy flavor. The ice cream itself was very icy and because of that seemed like there wasn't much flavor. I didn't quite get all the fall spice flavors.
