Service was a bit slow, it felt like they were maybe understaffed. It took awhile for someone to take our order. Maybe the same person taking orders was the one preparing them? I'm not sure. We went here with family during our fist visit to TN. And it was just ok, with some disappointment. Ice cream: 3.5/5 The ice cream itself I tho it was ok. It melts fairly quick, but it had good flavor and texture. Customer service: 2/5 The girl at the register was nice. However, the service was slow. It took a good amount of time for our whole party to get their order, and it was not at the same time. My wife was waiting for a long while for hers. We reminded them 3 times. Then a large party came to the window, that appeared to be the employees friends. They all received their orders and my wife was still waiting. I reminded them one more time before we received it. When she started eating, it was clear that it was missing toppings. So that was very irritating. Price: 3/5 The average price is about $6-7 per ice cream, Not terrible but, just ok. I'm from CA and this was pretty close to the pricing I see at home. Ambiance: 3/5 This is not a sit down ice cream place. They have some benches outside but, this type of venue is a walk-up window and you eat your ice cream while standing or in your car. Not bad, just do expect to have a table like you would at a restaurant or other types of ice cream shops. As always this sweet treat hit the spot. We always enjoy their concretes and sundaes. They had a very long drive-thru queue and a good-sized crowd at the walk-up window. The line moved quickly and the servers did a great job of matching the order to the customer. It's an outdoor ice cream shop that is clean, has trash cans available and lots of glass to watch the "magic" if you want. I had the chocolate custard and my wife had the vanilla. Very disappointing experience. The customer service was terrible, and the staff were unprofessional and disrespectful. I found a hair in one of the ice creams, and part of my order was missing, so I had to go back and remind them. While I was there, I noticed other customers were also having issues and were upset about how rudely they were being treated. The employees were making faces at customers and at each other, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. I would not recommend this location based on my experience. read more

My very first time trying frozen custard and I was not disappointed! My sister had mentioned having frozen custard when visiting the east coast (We live in Cali) and I've always been curious to try it. So when we were on a road trip and near a frozen custard spot of COURSE we had to stop by! I'm not too sure what I was expecting it to taste like but I definitely enjoyed it. I decided to go for their seasonal flavor at the time which was Peach concrete. Can almost never go wrong with peach flavor and it was perfect for the summer day when we visited. The custard was just the right amount of sweetness. Very refreshing which I wasn't really expecting. It did taste more like ice cream but I'm definitely not complaining! The fresh peaches added such a nice little bonus to the custard. My fiancé and I enjoyed it! Customer service was pretty good. Nothing special worth mentioning. The location looks brand new. They have a decent amount of seating benches in the front and one that we sat at on the side of the building. Overall I'd say it's a great spot! They also have a drive thru for those that want to take their custard to-go. Will definitely come back to try other flavors if we happen upon another Andy's Custard location! read more

Takes too long! Need a better way of taking orders and preparing them. Overpriced and slow

Very dissapointed tonight. Ordered a single chocolate cone and it barely filled the cake cone. Almost level with the top of the cone. My daughter ordered a single chocolate waffle cone. It came out vanilla. We asked for it to be fixed. Instead of getting her a new cone they just dumped out the vanilla and added some chocolate. I guess she gets both flavors!! read more

Three stars because the desserts were good but the service was very slow and unorganized. There were customers who ordered several people ahead of us and didn't get their desserts until the same time we did. Also, we ordered and several customers behind us got their desserts before we did. My husband finished his banana split before we got the rest of our order because they said they didn't have lids for it. They need some sort of name-taking or number system because shouting out the name of the dessert had other people in line taking someone else's order by mistake. Also, there was a piece of plastic found in my dad's sundae that was really sharp. I think with time and more training/work experience, this will be a better location but it's still too early on at this point. read more

Terrible experience. We paid for 2 medium concretes with oreo AND brownie. Ended up getting 2 small cups of ice cream with no brownie. I do not know if they were out of medium cups or not but the guy never said anything. We come here frequently and know the size of the cups and these were not mediums! This location needs some help with processing orders. The drive thru line was wrapped around the building and proceeded to take 50 minutes to get to the order window. Why are you taking orders at the window and not before so orders are ready when you get to the window? We like Andy's but won't be coming back unless this process is fixed. read more
