Wow! What a great place in Chicago. We wanted to switch our reservation from the 10 Pm show to 8:15 Pm, quick phone call with Finnegan and not only could we switch but we were offered the front table. Thank you so much for making our first time in Chicago a memorable one! I had the chicken and my husband had the beef short rib. I had a mocktail which was delish ( it was Blue can't remember name ). We saw The Charlie Heath Quartet and wow , what a talent !!! Make sure you catch him on Wednesdays. Great iconic spot to listen to live jazz music. Don't miss it!

Love the music and vibe! The food is mid however. Nothing too special. The drinks are nicer than the food in my opinion. The show is the highlight.

Great food, great music. I loved the music. Had one old fashioned. And it wasn't good especially for the price. But I would go back maybe just get some wine or drink elsewhere.

We came here last night and sat at the bar. $20 cover. Set went from 8:15 to 9:30. Not sure if we could've stayed for the next set, but we were all tired, so we left. The band was fantastic. The bartenders were busy but weren't always that attentive. It would take a while to get drinks, but they tasted good at least. I'd probably go back if the timing was right.

Great experience! One of the reasons I travelled 2800 miles across the country. Jazz at its best! Delicious food, over-the-top venue with a huge Jazz history, and an atmosphere that delivers! Accommodating staff and comfortable seats. The performance was most excellent! Acid Jazz! Reservations required.

Went for a office holiday party with the crew on a cold December night! The windy city ramblers put on quite the show. Some excellent jazz numbers blended with some hip hop vibes. The icing on the jazz cake was the drum showdown with the front man and the drummer. Made for excellent viewing. Now talking about the food - that left a lot to be desired. The Caesar salad was standard fare, followed by a mix of mains. I went for the Caribbean grilled salmon which was pretty basic - decent char but underwhelming flavours. New york strip steak was sadly overdone and chewy. The mix fruit berry cheesecake had potential but underdelivered. The drinks were alright, felt it was slightly watered down for our liking. In summary, stay for the music and hope for the best when it comes to the food.

Whenever we come into Chicago we always like to stop by Andy's Jazz Club for dinner and some good jazz. We've been here twice, once for the late night show on Saturday and another night we went on a Sunday for the earlier show. The earlier show felt a little short and almost a little more rushed since once the show was over they have to clean up for the next show. The food is fairly good. We've gotten their ravioli, their lounge hamburger (comes with cheese and bacon) and their braised beef. Everything was fairly good. I tried one of their mocktails, the Yuzu drink. This I wouldn't recommend for the price. Service overall was good and the club is pretty cozy. I w

Please note this is not a place to go if you want a place to sit and chat. It's more of a place to go if you want to enjoy drinks, a live jazz band, all while being respectful and remain quiet during the performance. Hubby wanted to go to a bar that offers live jazz so we got a reservation. Since we booked the day before, we were only left with bar seating. Service was honestly so so at the bar. The ladies were busy running around making drinks so it took a while for them to take our order. They even forgot our beer until we reminded them. We ordered the chips and guacamole, a chop salad, a beer, and a mint basil limeade. Salad was very fresh and we really liked it. The added shrimp had a nice little kick to it that made the salad taste extra good. The music was lovely and overall hubby and I had a good time. The band did a good job hyping up the crowd and their energy was great throughout the show. However I was a bit disappointed that my view was obstructed by the draft beer tap, so I was watching the bartenders make drinks the whole time instead, which was honestly pretty entertaining as well. I also read another review that said supposedly they will shush you if you're too loud, but the ladies sitting next to me were chatting the whole time and they didn't get any warning. It honestly got a little annoying and ruined the vibe for me since the ladies were nonstop chattering. The people sitting across the bar from me got a warning though. I ended up leaving early due to their chattering.

Gosh I adore this place! Definitely one of my go-to places in Chicago. You just can't have a bad time here. Great food: highly recommend the Cajun risotto and kale Caesar, but the ravioli is pretty bomb too. Great music: different musicians every night. Cheap entry/cover fee. Location is right in the heart of River North, easily accessible by public transportation. Can't wait to get back soon!

Be careful it cover charge from open table. We were charged a reservation fee on OpenTable. We were then charged that fee again by the host who said the OpenTable charge would drop off my card. The OpenTable charge did not drop off my card. I contacted the jazz club and they simply told me I was wrong. I'm not gonna fight somebody over $40 but I definitely won't return Food was decent. Service was good. Music was decent. Won't return

I came here for a solo trip and this was a place I'll always recommend. The staff are knowledgeable and all seem to like each other. The food was great as well! I got the shrimp risotto and it was amazing~

A nice date night place in an intimate setting. The music was also very good, although a little too loud. But that might have also been because we were too close to the band. The food was good. Not great but not bad. The waitress was kind enough to come attend to us regularly in spite of the loud music and crowds. It was a wonderful jazz club experience if you're looking for good music in the city.

After my wife nearly fainted (LOL), the party kicked off right away. This place is great for groups or large families. Plan on spending about 3 hours for dinner and the show. I bought tickets to the 1:30 pm show on Mother's Day. Tickets were $76.95 each, but I was able to get 15% off directly from their website for Mother's Day so I actually paid $65.41 each. I also decided to upgrade to their Queen's package which is an additional $30 per ticket. So overall, I paid around $190 for my mother and I. The doors open at noon- which is around the time we got there. For check in- this is where you are assigned a knight to root for. We got the black and white knight. We also got our VIP lanyards and our package came with taking 2 photos! They didn't open the doors to the arena until approximately 1:00 pm. They have an area just outside of the arena where you can order drinks from the bar, buy souvenirs, watch the horses eat, etc. Once the arena opened we were seated in table number 3 (which is actually the first row). For food we had a tomato basil soup, garlic bread, a very large chicken, and corn on the Cobb. With the Queen package you also get a slice of cake. The food surpassed my expectations, it was really really really good! Everything was. There was not one mediocre dish on my plate- everything was tasty and I wasn't expecting that. My piece of chicken was humongous. The whole meal was super filling. Side-note: we had to eat everything with our hands, because this is medieval times! So, there will be no silverware for you. And of course, my knight won! So that was a plus. Overall, this is a great event for all ages. Me and my party had tons of fun, and we're all grown. So, I can only imagine how much fun this is for children! Plus we left with so much stuff. I took home a crown, a glass (I got to keep from ordering from the bar), I took home my lanyard, my little flag I was waving around, and I took home our pictures that was included in the package. It came with VIP lanyards, preferred seating, two photos in cute frames that we received at the end, and cake as well. We were seated at Table 1, and I honestly you couldn't get any closer to the action. Being right there made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. Pros: There was plenty of parking and plenty of seating available. I also liked that they have multiple showtimes throughout the day, which gives you flexibility when planning your day. They have a bar with a pretty good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and the staff throughout the building were friendly. Cons: It is extremely loud inside. It was hard to hear the person giving directions from above, so everyone kind of just started moving at once. The seating is also very tight, and if you're sitting next to someone who needs a little extra space, it can be challenging. The seats sit very low to the ground, so anyone who is pregnant or has bad knees may struggle getting in and out comfortably. The food was okay, but it came out so slowly that it was hard to eat everything while it was still hot. The chicken, corn, and potato were the best parts of the meal. The soup tasted like it came from a can, and the garlic bread reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store and heat up at home. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would definitely go back. The show, the horses, and being so close to the action made it a memorable experience. Just go in knowing it's more about the entertainment than the food, and you'll have a great time. I didn't post too many photos because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone.

In the end, we had a blast but there was a rough start. The bad: It's a truly cash cash bar - no cards accepted. There was an ATM down the hallway, though it had kind of wild fees ($7 if I'm remembering correctly) - thankfully, my bank refunds that kind of fee, but if yours doesn't, it's a steep fee to pay to get any drink that isn't water or coffee - even a can of soda (coke brands only). From what I heard from my table mates, cocktails were strong. The beginning of the experience was rough - there were passed appetizers brought to the tables, and each person was allowed to get one of each (a mini pillsbury biscuit, maybe the size of a quarter and a freezer section meatball on a toothpick). Quite frankly, I wouldn't have been AS disappointed with the food if they didn't try to sell this as the "first course" and they just skipped this entirely. The good: this was a unique experience and a lot of fun once the show actually started. Most of my "the bad" pertained to the first 30 minutes at most. From there, our table of strangers ended up having a blast together and enjoyed throwing out theories. We didn't quite solve the mystery, but figured out a good number of pieces to it which was fun!

Yet what's really gotten my goat is the Alamo's sudden change in food ordering policy, by which orders are now processed via mobile app during the screening, which defeats the whole point of the Alamo's "no phones" policy and is clearly just a way for the company to avoid employing food workers. Can't support that. When a company straight up steals from you, it's time to stop giving it your business.

The staff was very friendly and I did enjoy the host of the show. I thought he did a great job interacting with everyone in the audience. However, we were there for a good 2 1/2 almost 3 hours and after a while the show started to feel very repetitive. The same performers and performances would come on stage on a loop. I did enjoy the performances but after a while it did become quite predictable. As far as the food, I wasn't crazy about it. I ordered the calamari for my appetizer- which was pretty good. I liked the sauce that was drizzled on it. However, my entree was kind of a disappointment. I got the lamb shank which just didn't mesh well with my taste buds. I know this is a cultural dish so it's just not a taste I was used to. However, I did wish I enjoyed it a little bit more. I will say the lamb was nice and tender. The best thing I had that evening was the pink dahlia. It was a delicious cocktail made with Malibu rum, pina colada mixture, pineapple juice and strawberry purée. It was so yummy, I had two! I'm grateful I got to experience this place, it was an overall enjoyable night. With that being said I don't see myself coming back to this establishment. For me it's very much a one and done experience.

I was hesitant to go after reading some of the reviews…read more I visited Alhambra Palace Restaurant on Sunday, 4/26/26 around 4:30 pm. The restaurant wasn't crowded at the time, only a couple of tables were occupied, which made for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Our waiter, Amine, was attentive throughout the entire dinner and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, and you can tell care goes into the dishes. I would definitely come back to try more items on the menu. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.

In a city with hundreds of options for nightlife and entertainment, people just want to be repeat customers there. The talent is awesome. Mike Wheeler Band is definitely at the top, Mike slays on the slide guitar -- check him out! You meet fun people there, they draw a good crowd of quality individuals. Can't wait come back next time I'm in Chicago again!

There are servers but if you're deep inside their long tables, you're pretty much on your own for drinks. They serve your typical bottled beers and standard bar fare. There is a restaurant which is technically not Kingston mines but you can order online and pick up from the back and get the food and eat it at your table. There's another room with what seems to be the main act. It is long narrow has a lot more tables and plenty of people that are standing as well. The music was great. It was very lively and there was a lot of people having a great time. It's a great place to catch some blues and a drink. There's a cover charge, but if the bands are good, then it's worth it.
