    The band!

AMAZING!!! Perfect setting, the right size audience and price for entertainment and the food was terrific! If you like Jazz this is the place for live music. The service was good, understanding they sit three completely new groups, every 2 or so hours, a night while the band plays three sets. They are busting their buts to seat, serve, clean up and empty out three times a night. I've never seen anything like it. So much fun, you have to go! I will be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great venue great show great music and great food[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What else can I expect? Food and drinks are very reasonably priced with great service and good people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Jazz show was simply awesome and price of drinks and food were great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered calamari rings and sautéed brussel sprouts as appetizers and both were really good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wow! What a great place in Chicago.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We wanted to switch our reservation from the 10 Pm show to 8:15 Pm, quick phone call with Finnegan and not only could we switch but we were offered the front table. Thank you so much for making our first time in Chicago a memorable one! I had the chicken and my husband had the beef short rib. I had a mocktail which was delish ( it was Blue can't remember name ). We saw The Charlie Heath Quartet and wow , what a talent !!! Make sure you catch him on Wednesdays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great iconic spot to listen to live jazz music. Don't miss it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We came here last night and sat at the bar. $20 cover. Set went from 8:15 to 9:30. Not sure if we could've stayed for the next set, but we were all tired, so we left. The band was fantastic. The bartenders were busy but weren't always that attentive. It would take a while to get drinks, but they tasted good at least. I'd probably go back if the timing was right.

Great experience! One of the reasons I travelled 2800 miles across the country. Jazz at its best! Came here for my wedding anniversary. If you love jazz this is the spot for you. I had never been to a jazz show and appreciated the experience. The drinks menu was unique: never had a dirty soda. I would say the food is not all that crazy outstanding but when youre coming to a jazz show its not about the food its about the music. Im not sure if they do it everytime but I was 2nd in line and they let me pick where I wanted to sit.

Went for a office holiday party with the crew on a cold December night! The windy city ramblers put on quite the show. Some excellent jazz numbers blended with some hip hop vibes. The icing on the jazz cake was the drum showdown with the front man and the drummer. Made for excellent viewing. Now talking about the food - that left a lot to be desired. The Caesar salad was standard fare, followed by a mix of mains. I went for the Caribbean grilled salmon which was pretty basic - decent char but underwhelming flavours. New york strip steak was sadly overdone and chewy. The mix fruit berry cheesecake had potential but underdelivered. The drinks were alright, felt it was slightly watered down for our liking. In summary, stay for the music and hope for the best when it comes to the food.

Whenever we come into Chicago we always like to stop by Andy's Jazz Club for dinner and some good jazz. We've been here twice, once for the late night show on Saturday and another night we went on a Sunday for the earlier show. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The earlier show felt a little short and almost a little more rushed since once the show was over they have to clean up for the next show.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is fairly good. We've gotten their ravioli, their lounge hamburger (comes with cheese and bacon) and their braised beef. Everything was fairly good. I tried one of their mocktails, the Yuzu drink. This I wouldn't recommend for the price. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service overall was good and the club is pretty cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I w

Love the music and vibe! The food is mid however. Nothing too special. The drinks are nicer than the food in my opinion. The show is the highlight.

Please note this is not a place to go if you want a place to sit and chat. It's more of a place to go if you want to enjoy drinks, a live jazz band, all while being respectful and remain quiet during the performance. Hubby wanted to go to a bar that offers live jazz so we got a reservation. Since we booked the day before, we were only left with bar seating. Service was honestly so so at the bar. The ladies were busy running around making drinks so it took a while for them to take our order. They even forgot our beer until we reminded them. We ordered the chips and guacamole, a chop salad, a beer, and a mint basil limeade. Salad was very fresh and we really liked it. The added shrimp had a nice little kick to it that made the salad taste extra good. The music was lovely and overall hubby and I had a good time. The band did a good job hyping up the crowd and their energy was great throughout the show. However I was a bit disappointed that my view was obstructed by the draft beer tap, so I was watching the bartenders make drinks the whole time instead, which was honestly pretty entertaining as well. I also read another review that said supposedly they will shush you if you're too loud, but the ladies sitting next to me were chatting the whole time and they didn't get any warning. It honestly got a little annoying and ruined the vibe for me since the ladies were nonstop chattering. The people sitting across the bar from me got a warning though. I ended up leaving early due to their chattering.

Great food, great music. I loved the music. Had one old fashioned. And it wasn't good especially for the price. But I would go back maybe just get some wine or drink elsewhere.

Gosh I adore this place! Definitely one of my go-to places in Chicago. You just can't have a bad time here. Great food: highly recommend the Cajun risotto and kale Caesar, but the ravioli is pretty bomb too. Great music: different musicians every night. Cheap entry/cover fee. Location is right in the heart of River North, easily accessible by public transportation. Can't wait to get back soon!

I came here for a solo trip and this was a place I'll always recommend. The staff are knowledgeable and all seem to like each other. The food was great as well! I got the shrimp risotto and it was amazing~

It's basically a cabaret - a combination of fine dining and interactive Cirque Du Soleil-style entertainment in an intimate setting. The elaborate décor will blow your mind. It's absolutely gorgeous. The quality of the food far surpassed typical dinner theatre fare. Each of the four courses was artfully plated, served at the proper temperature, and downright delicious. The goat cheese bell pepper scones app was more of an amuse bouche than a true course and no other bread was served (unless you order Parkerhouse rolls, an à la carte add-on that costs $16. Indeed!). After that, though, portions were ample. The bourbon peached glazed salmon entrée, plated with inventive side dishes, was perfection. Other à la carte dishes and entrée upgrades are available but no one in our party felt the need to order those. The service was impeccable. Variety acts were interspersed between courses - singers, dancers, a juggler, a comedian, an aerialist, and more. There was a lot of talent but it was comic actor Joe who stole the show, portraying several roles. Totally enjoyable and well worth the ticket price.

I already had a restaurant reserved, and one of the great things about this company is that you get to choose your own location--you're not stuck with a preset venue. After my wife nearly fainted (LOL), the party kicked off right away. All the characters are played by people you choose, which made for a ton of participation--and luckily, my friends and family are all a little nuts, so they totally went for it. The 1920s theme was super fun, and the folks I picked to be the "victims" really hammed it up. The company provided scripts for the key players and gave great direction to keep things moving. This place is great for groups or large families. Plan on spending about 3 hours for dinner and the show. I bought tickets to the 1:30 pm show on Mother's Day. Tickets were $76.95 each, but I was able to get 15% off directly from their website for Mother's Day so I actually paid $65.41 each. I also decided to upgrade to their Queen's package which is an additional $30 per ticket. So overall, I paid around $190 for my mother and I. The doors open at noon- which is around the time we got there. For check in- this is where you are assigned a knight to root for. We got the black and white knight. We also got our VIP lanyards and our package came with taking 2 photos! They didn't open the doors to the arena until approximately 1:00 pm. They have an area just outside of the arena where you can order drinks from the bar, buy souvenirs, watch the horses eat, etc. Once the arena opened we were seated in table number 3 (which is actually the first row). For food we had a tomato basil soup, garlic bread, a very large chicken, and corn on the Cobb. With the Queen package you also get a slice of cake. The food surpassed my expectations, it was really really really good! Everything was. There was not one mediocre dish on my plate- everything was tasty and I wasn't expecting that. My piece of chicken was humongous. The whole meal was super filling. Side-note: we had to eat everything with our hands, because this is medieval times! So, there will be no silverware for you. And of course, my knight won! So that was a plus. Overall, this is a great event for all ages. Me and my party had tons of fun, and we're all grown. So, I can only imagine how much fun this is for children! Plus we left with so much stuff. I took home a crown, a glass (I got to keep from ordering from the bar), I took home my lanyard, my little flag I was waving around, and I took home our pictures that was included in the package. So, you definitely do not leave empty handed. I really enjoyed this experience! I thought it was super fun!

Pros: There was plenty of parking and plenty of seating available. I also liked that they have multiple showtimes throughout the day, which gives you flexibility when planning your day. They have a bar with a pretty good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, and the staff throughout the building were friendly. Cons: It is extremely loud inside. It was hard to hear the person giving directions from above, so everyone kind of just started moving at once. The seating is also very tight, and if you're sitting next to someone who needs a little extra space, it can be challenging. The seats sit very low to the ground, so anyone who is pregnant or has bad knees may struggle getting in and out comfortably. The food was okay, but it came out so slowly that it was hard to eat everything while it was still hot. The chicken, corn, and potato were the best parts of the meal. The soup tasted like it came from a can, and the garlic bread reminded me of the frozen kind you buy at the grocery store and heat up at home. Overall, we had an absolute blast and would definitely go back. The show, the horses, and being so close to the action made it a memorable experience. Just go in knowing it's more about the entertainment than the food, and you'll have a great time. I didn't post too many photos because I didn't want to spoil it for anyone.

I did enjoy the performances but after a while it did become quite predictable. As far as the food, I wasn't crazy about it. I ordered the calamari for my appetizer- which was pretty good. I liked the sauce that was drizzled on it. However, my entree was kind of a disappointment. I got the lamb shank which just didn't mesh well with my taste buds. The best thing I had that evening was the pink dahlia. It was a delicious cocktail made with Malibu rum, pina colada mixture, pineapple juice and strawberry purée. It was so yummy, I had two! I'm grateful I got to experience this place, it was an overall enjoyable night. With that being said I don't see myself coming back to this establishment. For me it's very much a one and done experience.
