This is a place I had wanted to visit for many years. We would always drive past it on the highway and wonder what that castle was, but somehow we never found the time to go. Recently, I came across an ad for it on social media, and that's when we finally realized what it actually was. We bought tickets and decided to go. My 4-year-old son was so excited about the idea, which, as a mom, was the most important thing to me! Saying that I was impressed would be an understatement. Everything is designed in a unique medieval style and looks absolutely amazing. All of the staff are dressed in character as well, which really adds to the atmosphere. The show itself was exciting and entertaining. Eating dinner without utensils was also a fun experience because it really brings you closer to the spirit of that time period. Our waitress was wonderful and completely committed to her role! What made me laugh the most was my son crying when "our" blue knight lost the battle. He thought it was all real and cried so hard I told him that the ambulance came, the knight was treated, and now he's okay That immediately cheered him up. The knight also threw flowers into the audience -- I caught one, and my son was unbelievably proud. He said, "The knight threw a flower to my mommy!" Such a wonderful evening! Since we can have "regular" dinners anytime, I think most people can treat themselves once in a while to an experience like this and step out of their everyday routine.

The horses they have at this show are beautiful. I could see they were well cared for. We had knights, kings, queens, and squires By my estimation there were about 2500 people in attendance at this sold out show. They served everyone at the same time with soup, chicken, bread, and dessert. Impressive. The food was good. The swordfighting was a little long, and the horse show was a little short. There was a plot, but I could not understand much of what was said. You pay a premium price for this show and like Disney they have so many things my grandkids just had to have. Shock! My grandkids were aged 5, 7, and 11. All of them were entertained, and no fighting. That is a success in my mind.

A fun experience. We went for a birthday celebration. All adults & we enjoyed our experience. Its basically dinner theater. You sit in sections that are associated with a knight. The dinner is garlic toast, tomato soup, half roast chicken, half a potato & corn on cob. Dessert varies but they had an eclair & cake. Theres nothing special about the food. Also nothing wrong with the food. It all came out hot & was served on silver plates or bowl. No silverware as you use your hands like medieval times Its a fun show. Knights "jousting" & sword fighting. Falcon flying around. Horses doing little leaps & bows. Ive done it once & I think thats enough for me. But the bday girl loved it & screamed her heart out for the black & white knight.

Cool decor and atmosphere. Exciting and lively fighting show. And lots of good looking actors in it. The horses are gorgeous as well. Service is friendly and attentive. However foods are very simple home cooked style meal.So don't expect food to be spectacular. We got a dinner package with desert and the cake was a cheap yellow cake with heavy sticky chocolate frosting. I just wish food was a bit better quality for the price.

This is a neat show and unique dining experience. Starting out with the bad: I liked our server for easy going but he seemed inebriated and didn't do well on refills. The desert was alright, not bad or exceptional. I could see other servers in different sections running laps around the server for our section. They did many rounds of refills, brought food out quicker, and cleared plates swiftly. What I liked: Our server was easy going, funny and cautious of our daughters many food allergies. The show is wonderful and had my two year olds entire attention. The theme is quirky and it's a fun neat experience to be a part of. The serving sizes are big-- maybe too big, maybe we made the colossal mistake of eating steakhouse a couple hours before. But each of us, including my two year old were served half a little chicken. The food is flavorful, juicy chicken, perfectly seasoned potato half, corn was a nice texture. The menu also accommodates for allergies and we navigate many, dairy, egg, peanut, tree nut, beans, peas and grapes. I will say thought if you have a soy allergy to consider reading the allergy accommodations before hand. I'd return again as it's a fun experience with or without kids. If I come back again I'd probably upgrade to be closer so my child can see the action better.

We took our adult kids and their partners for a family gathering. We all had such a fun time. The show is a lot of fun and very entertaining. The food is not outstanding but decent and is served more like family style. The meet and greet after was fun also. Definitely a cool family night

Fun place for the family. Good food. They serve alcoholic drinks. Root for your knight as you chow down. Plenty of servers.

We had a fantastic time at Medieval Times for my niece's 5th birthday. The reason I'm doing 4 instead of 5 stars is for pricing- it is just really exorbitant and I felt like they weren't 100% honest about pricing on some things (definitely kings and queens of the upsell). However, the vibes of this space are still great. The knights acting was wonderful, the horses are beautiful, and the crowd was having a fantastic time. My sister and brother-in-law did the upgraded package for her birthday and it included a great family photo, a knighting ceremony, and an included item (sword or wand). She absolutely loved the experience. The food was decent- similar to when I came in my childhood with tomato soup, chicken, potatoes, and an eclair for dessert. To me, the chicken tasted better than when I was a kiddo- and the rest was about the same. I think this is definitely a fun experience for a special event- I would certainly come back!

I called to purchase tickets for my daughter's BIRTHDAY, making sure to emphasize how I wanted seats "front and center" it was a great experience on the phone-I really thought the representative understood my wishes. I misunderstood how many stairs there would be-first time going- and I stated that I'm disabled but that my family members would help me down. With that said, I can't describe the DISAPPOINTMENT when arriving and being seated on the very top floor, main entrance part. My granddaughter couldn't see everything and it just wasn't the same. My son wasn't "worried " with breaking his glasses the night before, because I assure everybody for the entire week that we would be right there by the horses and actors. I made it very clear to the woman on the phone that I just wanted to be near the horses for my granddaughter and my daughter special birthday. It was chaotic when we got there, of course, and they could not accommodate us when I spoke to them. He tried getting us down a little bit further, but we were already seated, and I saw that my kids were already eating (it took awhile to find the manager and he had to find another spot) so they said just forget about it. When you're spending THAT much money on an event that you planned out, just for it to be spoiled like that, it's very unfortunate and unfair. Listen to your customers when they're explaining, IN DETAIL, what you are looking for. We don't go out much because of my budget and this is not happening again

Really great experience. I heard the food is meh but I thought the chicken was really good. The production was really nice. All the staff members really cared about your experience. The ambiance was nice but I would be cool if they added more things to do in the area outdid the show. Although I suppose they don't want people loitering for hours. I would definitely recommend.

Ask the Community - Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

Do they offer a separate kids menu? If so, what is on it?

They have gluten-free and vegetarian meals, but for children, I believe they get two pieces of chicken versus four. But the garlic bread, tomato soup, and cookies for dessert are the same.

Do they allow bags in post-COVID? I am afraid my little one won't eat that much and thus, I'll have to bring some snacks with me. Unless they sell additional food (other than the pre-fixe dinner) at the theatre? :(

They allow bags , I had a medium size backpack with me and it was not checked , I have been to others where they check your bags tho. They only have a prefixed dinner and it's really good . It's a lot of food too. The chicken is amazing , potatoes…

Is it worth it to sit upfront?

If it's your first time and you're bringing kids... yes. The knights throw flowers and you can really see what's going on. If it's just an adult night out and you're checking this out of curiosity, middle rows would be just as good.

Do they have a vegetarian options/menu?

Yes, they have one vegetarian option where veggies and portabello mushroom are used in place of the chicken.

    How early should we arrive?

I would suggest getting there at least 45 to an hour before your time. But that also depends on what kind of tickets you have and if you have kids. My sister and I had the VIP or Royalty package with I guess help but there was still a line forming

    How long is show?

    2-3 hours

Does everyone get a cheering banner? Even with general admission?

No you dont get a cheering banner with general admission. If you visit the website it will tell you the admission rates and which get a banner. You do get a paper crown with general admission though.

When buying the general admission ticket what does it include? Do you get to take a family picture? Also do you get to meet the knights at any of the shows?

Our general admission included the food and the show. They do take a professional group picture with a character before you go into the arena that you can purchase later ($20 for one, $30 for two matted 8x10 photos). All of the knights, queen,…

I think the right word to describe Cinergy is "unique" . Came here on V-Day to see Crime 101. A…read moredifferent look and feel compared to theatres like AMC and Regal. It looks quite modern inside, and has more extras for guests including a bar, games etc. The biggest standout and the reason for that wording s the self serve popcorn. (Like, What??) It was an interesting experience to fill my own bucket but it was cool. The popcorn was nothing super special but it was good quality. The staff are friendly enough and I don't really have much negative to say. However, I will say that the process of getting in and having our tickets checked was a bit hectic as they have you go in the side door and wait in a single queue. We tried a pizza from their menu and it was pretty good. Would recommend. Slightly confusing for new comers but not really much to be concerned about. A nice addition to wheeling area and one I hope sticks around for awhile. [Date of Visit: 2/14/26]

When I got to the theater, the seat that I really wanted were empty. In fact, over half the theater was empty. The tickets were $18. Snacks with a drink for 2 people for $23.40. And a small glass of wine cost $10.53. Over $50 for two people to watch a movie. The only reason I gave this review any stars at all was the fact that the theater was exceptionally clean.

I…read morecontacted this company to help me throw a surprise party for my wife, and it couldn't have gone better. I already had a restaurant reserved, and one of the great things about this company is that you get to choose your own location--you're not stuck with a preset venue. They arrived early to get everything set up and were totally ready when it was time for the big surprise with our family and friends. After my wife nearly fainted (LOL), the party kicked off right away. All the characters are played by people you choose, which made for a ton of participation--and luckily, my friends and family are all a little nuts, so they totally went for it. The 1920s theme was super fun, and the folks I picked to be the "victims" really hammed it up. The company provided scripts for the key players and gave great direction to keep things moving. It never felt awkward or confusing--they were right there to guide things along, so no one felt lost. It was absolutely hilarious watching my friends and family try their hand at acting. I'll 100% be reaching out to this company again if the chance comes up. You should too!!
