Great location on the riverwalk. They have a walkup window where you can order your drinks and then go sit out near the water on the riverwalk. Good vibes and great place to people watch! I love how it's also dog friendly so am able to bring my shih tzu :)

Hanging on the Riverwalk, having a kale salad, however, the dressing is way over the top sweet. Big sugar spike for sure. I'll have to hack off those carbs with a brisk walk. The Russian river Pinot Noir is excellent, nice spicy notes fruit forward. The vibe of the Riverwalk on and on lots of peeps peeps everywhere ip and down the amazing river. It is indoor or outdoor dining with a view of the river and windy city skyscrapers.

A cute little stop along the riverwalk for a quick bite or drink. I was on a mom trip to Chicago so was able to take my time, have a drink, and relax without having to worry about my kids falling into the river. I walked up to the bar and had 2 rounds, an aperol spritz and a sparkling rose. I sat on the outdoor patio bar facing the river and enjoyed my drinks and view.

It's a nice spot, great views. We stopped there for a quick drink. Felt a little over priced for the size of the drink, but I also expected that because of the location. Overall happy with the experience but not sure I'd go back a second time - the was a spot down the river walk that felt more lively. Nothing to complain about but nothing to rave about either. Might be more fun with friends.

When we landed in Chicago, our first stop was to Riverwalk. It's beautiful to walk by the river. We found city winery had just opened. We snagged a table outside. The young lady helping checked in on us regularly. We got a bottle of rose and a charcuterie board. The rose was crisp and delicious. The charcuterie board was yummy. We enjoyed so much that we decided to order the labneh- Greek yogurt. This was absolutely delicious- so much so that we took our leftovers and eat it the next day- we only wished we had more pita to eat the next day! lol. Great view, great drinks I would definitely recommend.

4 stars mainly for the location on the river and good people watching. Tried a Mezcal cocktail that was nice and smoky and a Frose that was tasty and strong. Cheese charcuterie was more 3 stars. Was good enough to tide us over till dinner though.

We stopped here because I had a $25 off an order over $50 through the In Kind app. Our bill was $61.46 before tax and tip. The pizza crest was some of the best I've ever had. The drinks were strong. Prices are pretty high, but it is a great view from your table. All the seating is open air. They tried to sit us in an uncovered table area, but it had just been raining so we asked to sit under the awning. I would only be back if I had another incentive.

I would give this place five stars just for the view alone! We had a reservation, but when we arrived, the hostess seated us at a table right by the door where people were walking back and forth. We asked to be moved to a preferred table, and while she did accommodate us, she had a bit of an attitude about it. I just didn't want to sit with my back to all the foot traffic. Unlike the brick-and-mortar location, this spot doesn't offer wine flights, and they serve wine in plastic cups. However, our waiter was kind enough to let us sample the wines before we made our selections, which was a nice touch. It did take him a while to come back and take our food orders, as he thought we were going to leave. When my shrimp tacos and side salad arrived, my friend's side salad and only had the spring mix--none of the other toppings it was supposed to include. The waiter quickly resolved it by bringing the toppings in small cups. The food was delicious, and the tacos were great, but I will say I was still a little hungry afterward. Overall, it was a good experience, mostly because of the view!

I'm not usually one to leave a review but this one warrants it because of a very negative experience we just had at your establishment, the City Winery Riverwalk in Chicago. My family is in town visiting from Arizona and I made a reservation to take my parents to drinks on the river before our dinner reservation afterwards - we were looking forward to it. Things started off well, we got seated on time right next to the entrance. We ordered drinks and the waitress asked if we wanted any food.  We asked for more time, looked at the menu and decided against spoiling our appetite. When the waitress came back again to ask if we wanted anything we politely said no thank you and that's when things went south. To our surprise, our waitress rudely informed us that in order to sit at a table we had to order food. I said that it didn't say anywhere upon booking, checking in, or on the drink menu that this was the case. The waitress seemed pretty hostile and combative as she asked us if we wanted to close out because we weren't going to be ordering food - after we had just gotten our drinks. What happened next was even more unprofessional and disappointing - the waitress went and said something to the host who then came to our table and said "we forgot to tell you when you checked in but you're only allowed 60 minutes for your reservation" - which obviously seemed made up, and a misrepresentation of the reservation since it again didn't say anything on Resy, or our menus. I live in Chicago and was a regular patron of City Winery, even planning corporate functions here.  But unfortunately because of this very negative experience, I will not be returning again, and I will be encouraging everyone I know to do the same and take their business elsewhere. Overall a very unprofessional, rude, and disappointing hospitality experience. Hopefully this matter is taken seriously and City Winery wants to do better in the future.

First let me start with-Rico is a marvelous server. Quick, polite and great attitude. I'd hire him in a minute! The wine is lively the ambiance is perfect and it's really "Classic Chicago River walk" well done! BTW. Your tapenade rivals mine and I don't know if I'm happy or mad about that. Way to go!

During the summer this spot is always packed but it's such a nice spot with views of the river and outdoor patio seating. They have a wide variety of cocktails and they're all great. We ordered at the bar and sat at the hightop and the bartenders were super quick and friendly. Definitely recommend checking out if you're walking along the river for a drink!

A very pleasant experience taking a midafternoon wine and snack break while enjoying the Riverwalk. Liked the glass enclosure and heat lamps. Friendly service and nice wine choices and food. We really liked our Mediterranean bites the warm pitas were a nice touch. Friendly service too. Tourist prices were the only wrinkle.

City Winery is my go-to spot on summer Sundays. The outdoor seating right by the river is perfect, and there are even stairs where people can sit. Sometimes yachts and boats are docked nearby, adding to the great view of the river and the iconic corn cob(also know as the Marina Towers)building. They have a fantastic wine selection, and this time, my friends and I shared a couple of rounds of rosé -- I might as well have ordered the bottle! I haven't tried the food yet, but it does get busy during peak summer hours. The service is quick and good though, which is a big plus!

We ordered a flight of whiskey sours, which contained whiskeys from Japan, Vietnam, and Wisconsin. I also was able to order an amaretto sour, which they made with freshly hand beaten egg whites, which was a nice cherry on the top. As far as the whiskey flights go, I think the best one was the Vietnam flight because it had a slightly lemongrass twang and was a little bit lighter than the other two. The heaviest one was the Wisconsin which came with a little bit of a bite at the end, but it still wasn't bad if you're trying to blackout on a $15 budget. I would definitely come back with a larger group this seems like a great place, but is a little bit loud- so if you be prepared to yell or wear earplugs. The bathroom took my a second to find, which should have been intuitive considering it was on the opposite end of where you come in. I blame the lighting as things are already pretty hard to find in the dark, but eventually I made it there-Pat myself on the back.

We had visited Florence last year, and one of the numerous wonderful moments of our trip to Italy was seeing "Il Porcellino" - the lucky bronze boar fountain that draws tourists from around the world. Did I mention that the weekday Happy Hour (4-6PM) specials are quite good? The specials are served only at the bar area, so you might have to wait a few minutes for available seating. We started with some drinks, including two kinds of Negroni. The wild mushroom arancini (5 little balls for $6) were the smallest I've tried, but they were creamy and melt-in-your mouth delicious. The whipped ricotta and jam beautifully served on a strip of toasty focaccia was a unique taste sensation. Prime beef meatballs and short rib sliders on toasted ciabatta bread also hit the spot.
