They left us high and dry when we needed help. They refused to make a key for us after we locked our keys and wallets in our car. According to them I needed to present them my physical ID in order to make a key. I guess the guy didn't listen to me or understand at all. The wallets in my fricking car dude! The man on the phone reused to make me a key for us even when I offered a photo of my Id, my birth certificate, SS card, and vehicle title. What a moron. He lost our business, my families business, and anyone else I can warn. I find this really sh*tty behavior for a local business. It honestly seemed like he was happy to leave us out of luck. The Honda dealership made me my key without any bull, and were very nice the entire time. Their price was also very comparable to this location. I went to two different Home Depot's and a Lowe's to make copies of keys. It took forever to find someone and the keys I had were hand cut so the copies made didn't work. This..."family owned" and "family run" Buisness is great and offers honest prices for the services offered. I took my 2007 Nissan Sentra key into them, yet to their dismay my key was Sooo worn out that everyone was astonished my key even worked! The poor guy grabbed his jacket and ran back and forth between my car and making keys, going through six keys at least before coming to the realization that he was going to have to remove the lock on my car door so that he could make a key to fit exactly the way the lock wants...did I mention my key looked like a shiv? My key has a chip therefore it was 70 and to take the lock off was 40 making for around $115 after tax and such. I can only imagine how much that would have cost at the dealership! The new key is AMAZING!!! It slides into the ignition like butter and starts wonderfully smooth unlike before, where starting it took a little finesse...now it turns over beautifully! I have been going to this place for years without fail the keys they make always work perfect. They don't use that digital key machine that never works. I went to Home Depot where they use that digital machine and had 3 keys made and none of them worked. I thought Andy's was closed because there is a lot of construction going on in that shopping center, so after I called them and found out they are still there and in business I went there right away to have them make my 3 keys that Home Depot failed, and of course all my keys they made worked perfect. I have a Nissan Altima which needed the spare key Fob (push button remote) from my old Altima programmed to my new car. I called 2 other Locksmith's and they said it can't be done or needed special tools .... and offered to sell me a new Fob. I called Andy's Lock & Key and they said they should be able to program the fob to the new car ... and I was skeptical because this shop is a tiny little building, and I think "How can this tiny shop and these guys reprogram the fob when other locksmiths said it can't be done ???, do they have the right tools and tech equipment??" I was also worried they might screw up the good Fob. Anyways, I think to myself "what can I lose??" So I go out there and show them the fobs (old and new). Conner takes on the job and he makes a couple of calls and confirms that the old fob is programmable to my latest Altima. He spends a lot of time programming the new fob, but it doesn't work exactly right ... he makes more calls, rechecks the id's on the fobs, makes more adjustments, more back and forth ... and finally gets it to Work!! The problem with all the back and forth? It was because the battery was dead on the old fob !! I called Andy's lock and key to get a price on getting a key and a key fob programmed for my jeep grand Cherokee and was told it would be 65 dollars. When I got there the employee said that key and key fob I had bought on-line would not work because of the button layout even though the button layout was the exact same and the transponder in the new key I was trying to get made was the same as the old one and then they tried to sell me there key for 235.00 dollars. I went to ALPINE LOCK AND KEY and they charged me the same price of 65.00 and programmed the key for me and works just fine. Will never go back to Andy's again when they will not cut and program the key fob that I bought. read more

The key they made never really worked well - it only turned in the ignition in one direction. I finally lost my good spare and decided I needed to get a good set of keys again. After asking around, Andy's was suggested as a place that could make any key you needed, usually at a good price. I brought my car to Andy's about a month ago and had one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! The guys behind the counter clearly cared about what they were doing and it was fun watching them do some sleuthing to try to figure out why the 'new' home depot key was bad. They had to retool a key from scratch, and checked at least 3 times to make sure the new key worked well in each door and in the ignition. They did an excellent job and were super friendly during the process, which maybe took 15-20 minutes. I think my total for 2 new car keys and a new keychain was less than $20. Although Andy's Lock & Key is closed on Sundays, my one complaint, it's negligible considering how helpful they were once I went when open. I needed copies of keys made. Easy peasy, right? It should be. And blessed be it was! We drove up to the convenient dive-through window. I love drive through anything. I learned the hard way not to buy keys from the big hardware stores in town-there is generally a 50/50 chance the keys won't work :/ I have never had any issues with a purchase from Andy's and their customer service is top notch. They will also tell you super handy information like-Did you know you aren't supposed to use the master key that comes with a new lock? That way if you need a new key you have an original un-worn key to use for a copy. Totally makes sense, right? Why aren't there PSAs about this kind of thing? We got access to a new commercial space late on Friday and needed to get it secure - re-key the locks - so we could start moving in over the weekend. I considered doing the work myself using DIY kits, but I needed it done quickly and correctly. I called Andy's for a quote to have them come out on Saturday late-afternoon. The Saturday late-afternoon trip charge for my location was only $10 more than the normal weekday cost, plus a nominal increase for each labor item. It was an easy decision to get our space secure now instead of delaying until Monday. Andy himself arrived on-time and ready to go. In the process of reviewing the work to be done he recommended a couple of minimal-cost upgrades to enhance security (increasing from 5-pins to 6, and adding an anti-wrench collar on the main entry). Andy also explained that what we thought was a separately keyed door was really just a high-quality lock cylinder that was too secure to work with a poorly made duplicate key from a big-box-o-rama store. The work was completed within an hour, including eight new keys, half stamped as do-not-duplicate. The re-keyed locks are as smooth as butter to turn. I have used Andy's Lock and Key for years so I called them first when I needed a lock re-keyed. I waited patiently for my appt today at 115pm as they were booked out. I had a small window before I had to pick my daughter up from school so before booking the appt I asked how long it would take to re-key a lock. I was told about 10 mins. This would give plenty of padding so I booked the appt. Unfortunately, the guy didn't arrive until 150pm. I politely told him I needed to reschedule understanding that he probably got delayed on another job. Nope. He told me my appt was NOT at 115pm and he was going to listen to the call recording. I told him to yes please listen to the recording because I was 100% certain of my appt time. He was a complete ass and continued to mouth off to me telling me there is no way anyone would schedule me at 115pm because they don't even get back into the office until 130pm and he insisted my window was between 130-2pm and he was such a jerk!! Needless to say I will not be rescheduling with this company unless I hear from their management. I hate to stop supporting any small business that has served me for years just because of one bad egg/employee. read more

Can't believe how great this experience was! I lost my set of keys including the car and house key and was recommended this location when entering a near by Walmart. Really easy to find, a small building near IHOP and BofA. I drove up- yes they have a drive up option- and was immediately serviced.
