I think it's the specific nail tech that makes or breaks a client experience. With that said, I highly recommend Jenny! I've been to this salon twice and though it's not the fanciest of salons, it is still clean and the prices are more than fair! I highly recommend giving Jenny a try, she does the best dip powder I've ever had!

She hid the hair in my gel by painting the full nail and refused to match the other nails.

There was a huge black hair in the gel and when I said something to the nail tech she lied and said no it's bubbles. No that's your nail and refused to fix it. I came back to show her it was in fact a hair and I just wanted her to paint over it. She only painted the one nail and was so rude and nasty about it. Worst customer service. Had she just fixed it or been polite I would have come back. Never again. Now I'm waking around with one red nail and all the rest tips. Terrible experience. I do not recommend this place.

I'm so pissed!!! I go to do my nails, but my nail lady is on vacation (Ann who is awesome) and so they give me some lady who had been there 3 weeks and can't do a design ... . In beginning I even showed her my toes before and said it doesn't have to be same design just some lines she said ok. I like my big toe painted 2 colors split in half she said ok. Later I found out she can't do it and she tells manager she did design and I didn't like it so she took it off. she lied !! She never even tried. I left with no design on my toe.. I been going same place over 10years and never had an issue, but now I'm never going back there! Everyone is rude and said they all sudden don't know how to do a design... they were very unprofessional and very upset. It's a shame because I have been going there so long to same person and will never set food in there again To top it all off they forgot to put top coat on my thumb nails

VERY RUDE. Every time something came out of my mouth they would not agree and speak in their own language. I am the one who is paying, why can't I get done what I want? No need to be rude. NEVER AGAIN COMING BACK HERE.

Gel manicure for fall done by Amy. My real nails with the color ''Violet's Secret.'' Amy fixed my half broken middle nail flawlessly!

After coming here on a regular basis for 2+ years, I can safely say that your experience here depends entirely on who you get. There are some nail technicians here who are rude, talk on the phone while they do your nails, talk to each other, and, worst of all, do an unacceptable job at not only mani-pedis but also facial waxing. I've done the guessing-and-checking so no one else reading this and contemplating whether they should go here needs to. 99% of the time, I do a walk-in, so I've been helped by almost every nail tech who works here. Bottom line is: Amy and Leanne are the only ones who will do a quality job and make you feel like you got your money's worth. They're both on the quiet side, Amy more than Leanne, but they do wonderful nails. Leanne does the best eyebrows in my opinion and I'm extremely picky about my eyebrows. They take their time to do a good job, they don't make you feel like you're annoying them or wasting your time, they don't talk on the phone or gossip with the other techs, and they actually talk to YOU. Beauty is nice and I had a pleasant first experience with her, but she likes to talk way too much, and because of that, she takes an unnecessary amount of time. She also tries to sell you other services like crazy. I know it's her job to sell the product, but after hearing, ''You want eyebrow? You want upper lip? You want gel? Are you sure??'' a million times when you're trying to relax during your manicure and/or pedicure, you start to get annoyed. Kelly is the worst. She talks loudly on her iPhone the whole time she does your nails, and she'll stop doing your nails to do someone else's eyebrows or fix someone else's nails that they messed up after she did them. She does a good job on gel manicures, but she's really unprofessional and not friendly at all. She's also really harsh with facial waxing and tweezing. I had never experienced such a painful eyebrow and lip wax until she did it. She does it too quickly with wax that's too hot. And someone needs to take her tweezers away because she tweezed my SKIN for several minutes. I was wondering why it hurt so much! I didn't realize she was just tweezing skin until I got home and saw I had about 5 tiny dots underneath my eyebrow that were bleeding. Horrible. Long story short, go to Amy or Leanne and you'll have a good experience here. Or if you find someone else you like by chance, stay with them and make appointments. Whatever you do, don't walk in and leave who you get to chance. UPDATE 1/7/17: I recently had a mani/pedi done by Jenny, who I'd never had before. She is great at gel nails and paint designs, and she's really nice as well.

this just a week healing. long way to go.

my father was a nail tech and a good one at that so i'm pretty sure of how this business works. this is jot my regular nail salon so this is based off one time i came in to actually remove the nails i had on. i was greeted properly and immediately sat which is very nice. initially an acrylic removal will have both hands soaking in acetone so that the nail will remove with less damage. for some reason the person just took a pair of cuticle cutters and started prying and ripping them off! on the last nail she was taking off which was my thumb she took my real nail instead of the acrylic! it hurt so bad i actually kept saying "ow" and winced and she would pull my hand back. I STARTED BLEEDING. my boyfriend and daughter were with me and he noticed i kept saying it hurt. she just put nail glue over it and was moving over to the other hand when i asked if i could soak the other hand instead. so i got sat at another station and it only took about 15 min to soak for the acrylic to get soft. i'm thinking to myself the only reason why i let her do that knowing it was wrong and extremely rushed was because i had to take them off for my work. although they were extremely nice, this was a very poor service. now my nail is still is extremely damaged and i won't be able to put anything on it for at least 6 months. it hurt so bad i could literally feel the skin under my nail where she ripped it off. unfortunately if you'd like professional and good service you need to find a good nail tech and stick with them.

I had a local event after work and had some time to burn so I stopped in Andy's nails. I needed a pedicure and an acrylic fill. I had two technicians one for each task. Both were amazing. They took their time to make my nails look exactly how I wanted them. My little pinky toe has a very tiny nail which is normally grazed and not actually filed down properly. The technician who did my pedicure actually trimmed the nail and cuticles. I am so impressed that I will definitely be back there. The pricing is normal. The entire staff was extremely friendly.

Pink gel nails their only good for now.... NEVER GO HERE. They thought they could get over me since im a kid.

I currently live in silver spring and work in Baltimore, but I will still make time and commute all the way over to go to Amy.

I am writing to express my profound disappointment regarding a recent experience with your salon…read more On Saturday, July 25, 2026, I contacted your establishment to schedule a dip and pedicure appointment. During that call, I was informed that my preferred referred technician, Mrs. Lisa, was fully booked. Consequently, I explicitly requested to be scheduled for the next available appointment slot on the following Saturday, which was August 1, 2026. I was under the clear impression that an appointment was successfully made for that date. Today, Saturday, August 1, 2026, anticipating my scheduled service, I attempted to confirm my appointment by calling the salon multiple times throughout the morning. To my surprise and frustration, I eventually received a call back from a male staff member. He abruptly informed me that no appointment was on file under my name. When I tried to explain the booking I had made the previous week, he became dismissive and offered no assistance in investigating the apparent discrepancy. He simply reiterated that Mrs. Lisa was booked and that the salon would be unable to accommodate me. This interaction was incredibly unhelpful and frankly, quite rude. The staff member made no effort to understand what might have gone wrong with the booking system or to offer any form of resolution or alternative. The lack of accountability and the dismissive attitude displayed were entirely unprofessional. This experience has resulted in significant inconvenience and wasted my time, leaving me without the services I had planned. It reflects poorly on your salon's customer service and appointment management. As a result, I will no longer be patronizing your establishment. For anyone seeking a reliable and pleasant nail salon experience where appointments are honored and customer service is a priority, I wholeheartedly recommend "Cute Tips" in Gaithersburg. Their professionalism and attentiveness are commendable.

DiDi enthusiastically and happily greeted me, apologized for my wait and I followed her back. She is new to the salon and I have to tell you I had an excellent experience with Didi at cloud nine! I didn't feel rushed, she graciously asked how I was and gave a great leg massage too btw. It's hard to find these days, going to get a mani or pedi with a cheerful and attentive tech And not being rushed. Made my day! Thank you Didi! Worth the wait!

The receptionist then sat me in the pedicure chair at about 3:40, turned the water on 8 min later but didn't know how to turn the jets on. So I'm just floating my feet in the water for an additional 5 min. Pedicure starts and I'm still not too annoyed giving I did make a same day appointment. I got gel-x on my nails (on the phone they asked for my preference of nail tech I specifically said very experienced). As he's starting my nails he puts on my thumb nail which has bubbles under and especially around the cuticle area, I make him aware stating if the application is done correctly my nail will lift in a short amount of time. He states no, it's fine nothing will happen, I tell him 2 more times that I know in fact it isn't fine and if something does happen I'm coming back for a refund. I then proceeded to take a photo of said nail for proof of application, only then did he take my nail off and redo it. I also showed him a photo of the french I wanted, very basic and not a "deep french" they always upcharge for. After doing the french multiple times incorrectly I got annoyed and sent me to another tech, who was rude and giving the vibe like I was asking for too much or being difficult. After the off putting experience I ask to speak to the manager and explain everything. She then calls over the rude 2nd tech, and they both brush it off claiming she was nervous because I wasn't happy the first time (no excuse for lack of customer service). Then the tech starts talking crazy about me to the customers behind me waiting to pay, and laughing. I turn to the manager and ask her if she doesn't see the problem and the lack of customer service?! She brushes it off and tells me to pay, and I ask for something to be taken off (for the blatant lack of customer service, the amount of time past my appointment I had to wait, and the result of me missing another appointment I had bc they CLEARLY didn't know how to do said service- Gel-X nor a basic french in a reasonable time). She looked me dead in my face and said the service was done so I needed to pay full price. I responded and asked if she went out to eat and had a rude server, had to send the food back to get it corrected wouldn't she expect for the manager to make it right given her experience was trash. No answer of course lol, then spoke in their language to the receptionist and agreed to 10%($5 off) SMH. This is exactly y I will not be coming nor will my daughters. It's not even about messing up my nails, it's about the lack of customer service and understanding especially when I'm paying for something. Who doesn't want their nails exactly how they showed or want at least a great customer service experience despite a mix up or long wait. Shows anyone in there is just money and they don't value a true customer experience as they claim. And to top this entire experience, the said nail is STILL lifting after only 8 days since I got them done. Also recorded this entire encounter after he kept saying my nail was fine, in case they try and dispute the incident. What's really unfortunate for me, they definitely won't give me a refund despite my nails still ending up trash. $130 down the drain. Photos attached (french I asked for, french he did, nail lifting after 8 days, and the HUGE bubble under my nail). If ALL your techs can't do a service properly just tell a customer you don't have availability that day, instead of being money hunger booking me with someone who doesn't know proper application SMH. Also notice how far away from cuticle the gel-x was placed. Also called and asked for a refund, they only will "fix" the issue. Which would require an entire new set and sitting AGAIN with disrespectful workers. No thanks called my bank
