I have to update. My nails began chipping around my cuticle and lifting. When they started officially coming off they were gummy as if they hadn't even been cured properly. I ended up having to take off my entire set because of how bad this manicure was. Compliment that with the cuts on my fingers, bad paint job, uneven and badly shaped nails. Worst place I had ever had in my life. I asked for a take off and SNS. They didn't even know what was that until I said dipping powder. Everything went normal until some other clients coming and everyone was busy. Then, She was rushing on me. She cut my finger and not even say sorry. She was about to use gel over the top when finishing the nail, I asked I didn't want to use gel, I wanted to use dipping top coat because I had a skin irritation when it touched the UV light. She said many bad thing behind my back in Vietnamese but she didn't know I can understand every single word that she was talking about me. Disappointed! This place is my favorite out of the nail salons in the area. The staff and the owner are fabulous meaning friendly and professional. One time I came here a nail technician messed up on my eyebrows he cut my eyebrow hair. The owner took a look at it and said I can just go. He didn't charge me for the mess up one of the nail technicians did. I've been coming here up onto that incident. I came today and the nail technician who messed up on my eyebrows did my designs. I checked this place out for the first time and left unsatisfied. I got a gel mani and regular pedi. You can see on my big toe how the polish is not covering my entire nail and it was also left bumpy from the clear polish. As far as my gel mani, I didn't get a hand massage or lotion. I also didn't even get oil on my cuticles. I was offered the hand massage by another nail tech only after I asked for the norm. She hadn't done my nails so it wasn't for her to do. I appreciate her offering. I won't be going again and will go to my usual spot that is around the corner. On a positive note, my mother had a great experience on the same day. She had the VIP spa pedicure and loved it. She will be going back. I'm glad at least she left super happy. I came here to get a fill-in, pedicure and eyebrow wax. The entire fill in experience was rushed. I should've known something wasn't right then. After my fill in I was rushed to the back for eyebrows. I'll post a picture of the outcome. The tech named Chong nearly took off half an eyebrow and butchered the other. I asked if he normally does eyebrows and he said yes. The condition of my eyebrows leads me to believe this is not the case. He offered me a free wax when my eyebrows grow back. No way! BEWARE. PLEASE DON'T GO HERE FOR TIPS. The acrylic French tips I got were horrendous. The man rushed the entire time, he matched me with tips that were too big for my fingers, didn't bother to soak or fix my cuticles and left me with sloppy work on my hands. While using the little drill he cut and hurt my cuticle. It looks worse in person. Each nail is bumpy and the French tip is painted horribly. When I asked him to redo it he said there was "NOTHING WRONG" and wanted to charge me half price to fix his mistakes. I will not be coming back. I will not be returning. I have been getting my eyebrows done here for 2-3 years and they have always done a great job. Today, the technician who did my eyebrows spent a total of 1-2 minutes waxing and trimming them. I was told that a pedicure was $30.00. When I entered the shop, I was told to pick my color. I chose a color for my nails and after I sat in the chair, I was being provoked to get gel. Not having been to this place before. I asked what the difference was? I was simply told the gel polish lasted longer. The 4 drops of polish that was used for my toes was not worth the extra 15 dollars. I asked the manager when I checked out about the price difference, he admitted that he spoke to me about the price over the phone but once I entered the shop, it was about upselling me on polish that wasn't worth the money. I used to go hair got my nails done by Benny lately. He's been doing them really fast like he's on some type of speed racing trip or something so my nails haven't been coming out looking as good as they were before when I first started seeing him, which is probably about six months so when I got my nails done the last time, we did this different color polish in and I just looked really bad because the nails look fake. I even had people ask me all those press on nails. So I'm not sure if he got offended or what but when I called to have him to take this polish off and asked for a pedicure, he told me they were booked and I do you know you have to pay for it when have you ever did anything free for me I always pay. I'm not going back there. I thought we had a bond relationship on our relationship but I don't deal with people who treat me like that why would you say you're booked and then tell someone who called right back that you're not booked??? I've been coming here for 2 years now. It started out as a good experience, a great place to go... easy for me to get to, with quality work. Nowadays, I'm not so happy. Usually I come here for eyebrows and pedicures, with an occasional manicure. The last few times I came, the quality of work was way lower than I expected. My pedi looked like I could have done it myself! My eyebrows were ripped off to two tiny strips of almost nothing, after I specifically asked only to clean them up and to leave them a little thick. I mean, who wears pencil thin eyebrows anymore?! I think the staff has become a little too comfortable with the customers. They have become really outspoken and I'm uncomfortable. I get the comments about the pedicures... I mean, at most of these places, the staff talks about you right in front of your face. Whatever. But the last time I went, the lady flat out told me that she didn't like the twists in my hair and that I should take them out. What?? At first I was shocked, then I was mad! How rude! I didn't ask her opinion... I asked her to do my eyebrows! Ugh. Anywho, I've ventured off to another nail salon at the Germantown Square Shopping Center and I like it. This by far has to be the WORST nail salon I've been to, and I've been to almost every salon in the 20 mile radius of Germantown, okay maybe not every but I've been to a lot. A while ago when I was only 16 years old I was sexually solicited by the owner of this salon. I went in often and was happy with the services I had done on my bails. One of the times I was there the owner happened to be outside in the strip while I was on my way out. He told me, "I've never had a white girl before, I'll pay you $500." I was so shaken and had no idea what to say. We filed a police report but nothing came of it because it couldn't be proven.
