Small town diner in Highland Falls.n We parked opposite - at the library and walked over for lunch after a trip to the library. Seated immediately and given menus to check out. We ordered a vegetable panini to share. it was delicious. Fries for the kid and truckers breakfast for the hubby Have to add, the fries were deliciously crispy!! We still had leftovers to bring home. Had a wonderful lunch in this cafe after visiting west point. I had the truckers special pancake breakfast which was huge. And my wife and friend shared the vegi pinini. All delicious. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and has that small town diner feel. I love it. Our waitress was very nice and promptly took care of us. read more

First the service, I did find some of comments here about them true, like taking too long to make orders and being bit pushy. Had group next to me complain and offer to pay for they had and they like oh but we were making your order. For me the service was alright, pretty nice, but definitely service is mixed. For the food, I liked turkey bacon club, I mean very thick slices of turkey and crispy but not burnt bacon, and decent fries. I did order it without the tomatoes but I guess they forgot. Homemade lemonade definitely was good, you could tell it was not a mix for sure or syrup. Felt like something I could pull together at home. Wow... where to begin. We were in Westpoint for a Navy/Army rival game. We saw the reviews for Andy's and thought we should drop in. We expected it to be busy and to have a wait, so we were not unreasonable. When we entered, we thought Andy's was a cute New York style diner. We were immediately sat. That's where the experience went from good to awful. 20 minutes, we sat around watching the waitress not even say hello to us. The hostess had brought u a drink at about a 2pmin mark. We told her we were ready to order, and she told us the waitress would take our order. 20 more minutes passe, and thebwaiteess never even said hello. Not every table was even full! Eventually, I went to the register and told them I wanted to settle our drinks up. Then the waitress comes up and says, "Sorry, have a nice day. I'm understanding when things are busy to have a wait..but to get greeted by ourselves and waste 40 plus minutes and never even our orders....and to be basically be told I can't take an order..not my job, that's terrible. What a letdown. Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant. The business either needs more servers or find more people, such as the multiple hosts, to also take orders. read more

No frills, casual diner in between West Point and Bear Mountain (super close to West Point) The chicken cutlet bacon egg and cheese was great. I wouldn't travel to come here but if you need breakfast before a hike or a football game, this is an easy stop. read more

Great visit to Andy's! Our tour guide from West Point recommended this diner and we are glad he did. The service was very friendly and we were not rushed despite the fact we arrived a half hour before closing. My Cajun panini was fantastic and my wife really enjoyed her veggie burger. This restaurant is in a strip of stores on the main drag with metered parking. Very close to West Point Academy. We both had wraps that were excellent and so big that we could only eat half of our sandwiches. Prices average. Restaurant appeared clean and tidy. Would definitely go back again if in the area. read more

Very unpretentious sort of hole-in-the-wall Main Street restaurant, and easy to miss, Andy's apparently has been around here for a lot of decades. And, as we found out, with good reason. A clerk at our hotel recommended Andy's for lunch, and are we ever glad she did. While we can't attest to how they do all their meals, we can assure you they sure know how to do lunch sandwiches! Our tuna melt was the best we've had in many years: stuffed with fresh tuna and cheese on buttery toast - yum. And the Reuben was every bit as tasty, lots of meat on delicious bread, and for a side we had the Greek fries, packed with oregano and drop-dead crunchy good. Add in some tea, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. So we give Andy's five stars based on our one experience there. We hope your experience will be as good. read more

Food was good ... basis of my reviews. Egg's Benedict Floretine was cooked really well. Would have loved the break below to have a bit more crisp ... difficult when you lie a hot poached egg with hollandaise sauce although I've seen it done well. Way too hot for a restaurant ... ruins the experience. The Huevos Rancheros were good. Waffles also didn't have enough crunch. These are all personal preferences so definitely give this spot with fresh ingredients a shot. read more

They know how to cook the eggs here - which is always a plus! You ask for over medium, you get over medium (not overeasy).. Very friendly staff, and the coffee is very tasty! Better than the typical low-budge farmers bros. I ordered the Young Guns Special and my GF had the French toast. We both cleaned our plates. My friends and I came here after taking a trip to Bear Mountain. We didn't know the area well and signal was spotty, but Yelp managed to pull through enough to show us this place as an option. Just craving some breakfast food, we went and our expectations were blown! We ordered strawberry waffles (delicious but i believe the strawberries are soaked(?) according to my friend), chocolate chip pancakes (delicious but punched by the concentration of chocolate chip in the center lol), home fries (delicious), veggie omelette (friend liked), and a bunch of breakfast meats that were delicious. The staff are friendly and prices are extremely reasonable especially coming from the city (our total was about $57 for three people with leftovers). We didn't have to wait although the place was just about capacity at Saturday 2pm. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area especially for those pancakes. read more

Compared to my review from over 5 years ago Andys has come a long way. Through the pandemic they never let up on their service. The drivers mara and johnny always had a great attitude and the food was what I ordered. If there is a hiccup it gets fixed immediately. You go into their dining area and its like something out of a movie. Towns people communing, busting chops I love it. They have earned my business without fault from me. read more

What a gem! Sat at the table right outside of the restaurant. Ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Egg Sandwich ($9) and it was piping hot and Delicious, better than the ones in Philly! Ended the meal with the pancake with strawberry and ice cream, a huge plate for $12. Coffee was not the best. Service was excellent. Total bill was $25 for two. read more

I've ordered several times. Each time, I'm told 20 minutes to 45 minutes for delivery. Each time, it's over an hour or it doesn't show up. If it does show up, it's usually wrong. The food is mediocre at best. Not worth waiting for that's for sure. I'll pay triple with Postmates before I order a cornflake from Andy's. read more

I got in very late and Patton's was the only restaurant inside Thayer still serving food at 9 pm. I needed a stiff drink at this point, and took my chances on a dirty martini which came out with just the right amount of olive juice and really hit the spot. We put in a chips and guac order, and our mains. The food took a while to come out and service was a bit slow (also, the apps came out with the main food which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering an app). But I'm willing to overlook all of that because the prime rib hoagie with onion rings was so freaking good. Tender meat, lots of onions and cheese, juicy and served on a freshly toasted roll. The onion rings were crispy and airy without being too doughy. I was so happy. The guac was good too but I wish it came with actual chips, not plantains. Definitely recommend eating here if you come!

The Caesar salad was so drowned in Parmesan that I tried to scrape some off, and it was fine. Chicken was cold / salty, telling me it was pre-cooked. A little bit of tweaking could go a long way, because the history and ambience of the location can't be beat.

Food was very tasty and filling…read more Historical ambiance and is located inside the Thayer Hotel. This restaurant is convenient when visiting the college or driving through the town, since there are not many restaurants around. Just hopefully you don't have anywhere to rush to since the service was very slow. No complaints regarding the food though!

Service was great, servers are extremely friendly. The hotel has plenty of history however the food…read moreis not seasoned properly. The steaks are cooked decently, not over done however requires more salt. Same can be said with the Mac and cheese my kids had.
