    Veggie Panini
    Grace T.

Small town diner in Highland Falls.n We parked opposite - at the library and walked over for lunch after a trip to the library. Seated immediately and given menus to check out. We ordered a vegetable panini to share. it was delicious. Fries for the kid and truckers breakfast for the hubby Have to add, the fries were deliciously crispy!! We still had leftovers to bring home. Pancakes were deliciously fluffy If you order truckers breakfast, it essentially can feed 3 people. Love it.

Had a wonderful lunch in this cafe after visiting west point. I had the truckers special pancake breakfast which was huge. And my wife and friend shared the vegi pinini. All delicious. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and has that small town diner feel. I love it. Our waitress was very nice and promptly took care of us.

First the service, I did find some of comments here about them true, like taking too long to make orders and being bit pushy. Had group next to me complain and offer to pay for they had and they like oh but we were making your order. For me the service was alright, pretty nice, but definitely service is mixed. For the food, I liked turkey bacon club, I mean very thick slices of turkey and crispy but not burnt bacon, and decent fries. I did order it without the tomatoes but I guess they forgot. Homemade lemonade definitely was good, you could tell it was not a mix for sure or syrup. Felt like something I could pull together at home. Overall this place is decent, but let me tell you, there is no AC here and it was pretty stuffy inside

Corned Beef Hash with grits. So good!

The BEST diner! I absolutely loved the corn beef hash, eggs, buttery grits, and tomato instead of toast. This combo was SO delicious, tasty and satisfying! Buttermilk pancakes were fluffy and moist - perfection!!

    Cajun panini- excellent and huge!

Great visit to Andy's! Our tour guide from West Point recommended this diner and we are glad he did. The service was very friendly and we were not rushed despite the fact we arrived a half hour before closing. My Cajun panini was fantastic and my wife really enjoyed her veggie burger. Portion sizes were excellent as well!

Burgers for breakfast? Yes, please! Love the "Andy's Burger" with fried onions and blue cheese instead of the customary cheddar. Always perfectly cooked! Great local vibe here. Great diner vibe.

We chatted with a couple of store owners, and they all recommended Riverview as the place to eat. We had already made reservations there weeks before. We loved the town and enjoyed the afternoon; we highly recommend spending a sunny summer or fall day there. Now about the restaurant. We were given a very good table in a private corner so that we could talk freely without disruption. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We never felt rushed. The ambiance is not the feature here, but there are nice river views and outdoor dining. We sat inside. The food was very good, even if not what I consider haute cuisine. For the first course, I had the watermelon and feta salad; it was nice and refreshing, even if the watermelon was a bit old. For the main course, I had a pork chop with a potato croquette, and my wife had the fish. We both enjoyed our dinners. We finished with two desserts: bread pudding and a Peach melba. Overall, I recommend the Riverview and will probably be back the next time we visit. If you do stop in, say hello to the bartender, Shauan-Michel.

They didn't ask how I'd like the burger cooked, and the patty was cooked to a standard doneness. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but it was hearty, satisfying, and definitely filling. Nothing beats an ice-cold beer after a hike. Compared to Manhattan, the prices were very reasonable, making the meal feel like a great value. One of the best parts is the location right next to the railroad tracks--you can enjoy your meal while watching the trains pass by, which gives the place a unique charm. If it's your first time visiting Cold Spring, I'd recommend starting your trip here.

Well, this joint fills up with NYC nature seekers and think they are in Gramercy park. Therefore the servers pre judge you for being a snooty invader who keeps the joint open. One incident the greeter greeted me with " that dog is not included in your party?" When asked if outdoor seating is available. 8 tables were empty. Another time, same greeter, told us the wait was 40 mins. I utilized the rest room to only see that there were empty booths inside. We were dog less and she did not ask nor had the time to ask if we wanted to sit inside. The last time we went, late July, there was no snotty greeter. The greeter was one of the servers, so she had to sweat both jobs. Had my 10 pound dog! No comment. We sat down and waited. And waited and waited. Then an obviously overstressed male server, who was sick of his job, dropped some menus on the table and asked what shall he get us. Well sorry we did not research the menus on line before hand. Waited again. Finally ordered. We needed condiments. Waited. The place was packed. Two servers. The train blew by with its horn blasting. A drink would have helped. The burgers are good. Gonna try to eat inside one more time before I write this place off. Sad.

It's a pub and you'll find plenty of traditional pub food offerings. All of our good was great. We stopped by for lunch. The roasted brussel sprouts were excellent. Nicely charred, glazed balsamic and underneath was a coating of a whipped ricotta. Great dish! Unfortunately, our entrees were brought out minutes after our appetizer came out. Very annoying and the server just stared at us like - here, where do you want this? The French Dip and Short rib grilled cheese were both good. Tasty, they get a bit heavy, but we're really nice. Good cuts of meat and hardly any fat or grizzle. We opted for salads instead of fries, which that allow you to substitute. The acoustics here are awful as they have a tin roof and nothing really for sound absorption. With only 4 or 5 tables of costumers, we could barely hear ourselves talking. They charge a 4% credit card fee. Service was excellent, aside from the kitchen waitress rushing the food out. Nice pub overall and I recommend.

I got in very late and Patton's was the only restaurant inside Thayer still serving food at 9 pm. We put in a chips and guac order, and our mains. The food took a while to come out and service was a bit slow (also, the apps came out with the main food which kind of defeated the purpose of ordering an app). But I'm willing to overlook all of that because the prime rib hoagie with onion rings was so freaking good. Tender meat, lots of onions and cheese, juicy and served on a freshly toasted roll. The onion rings were crispy and airy without being too doughy. I was so happy. The guac was good too but I wish it came with actual chips, not plantains.
