Went here for my birthday. Very cute, aesthetically pleasing restaurant. It also smells very nice there. It gives modern, classy vibes. They had Greek music playing the whole time but it was low. This is the type of restaurant I'd except to go to when I'm on vacation. I loved it. The drinks are also very good. I had the Thea. It contained fig vodka, orange and cranberry. I don't know how or how much of each thing they put in it but it was delicious. One of the best drinks I ever had. I'm definitely coming back for that drink. For appetizers, we have the octopus and the Anemi Fetalo. I was a big fan of the octopus, but wasn't a big fan of the Anemi Fetalo because of the sweetness, but my husband loved it. For dinner I had the New York style steak and my husband had the Asian minor kebab. My steak was very flavorful but a little overcooked. I was for medium it was more well. My husband loved the kebab. We also had a bottle of the Kyklos Agiorgitiko 2023 wine. It was a very light refreshing bottle of wine. It went well with our food. For dessert I had the pistachio dessert. It was very good and had the right amount of crunch. I would come here again, I enjoyed the Thea cocktail and the vibes. Not to mention the waiter was really nice. She was on top of everything.

4.25 stars Rating is for DJ night Drinks: amazing Service: great Ambience: chic Food: appetizers over entrees Best: zucchini chips, calamari, mussels, kokkinisto, steak and fries, pita Mid (good but not must order): octopus No good: prasini salad, squid ink pasta The entrees were huge but the seasoning was off multiple entrees and the dishes were cold The restaurant was packed and it gets hot, but it is such a fun scene. Wear your dancing shoes and have a blast. I would get a bunch of apps and split 1-2 entrees. And I would get all the drinks

Anemi is a relatively new gem in the heart of Astoria inside Voco hotel. The interior is so chic and modern. But the service and food were even better. For our group of 4, we got 3 appetizers to share - grilled calamari, zucchini chips and the fetalo. We also got the branzino and squid ink pasta as entrees. Do not skip the grilled calamari and branzino! Both were so tender and flavorful. The drinks didn't disappoint as well. Our food came pretty fast and our waiter was attentive. Would definitely recommend and I'm so glad I came across Anemi to add to my neighborhood options.

Restaurant is located in the basement of Voco hotel. Appetizers were great. Tried the zucchini chips (lightly battered and crispy), octopus (well cooked and garnished), and oysters -- I recommend them all. For the main, branzino was cooked really well; accompanied lemon butter sauce was just perfect. The lobster pasta, however, was a bit disappointing. I would skip it next time and try something else. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, but the hosts lacked warmth. Definitely not the most quiet romantic ambiance; more like loud and hip. Overall, a good addition to the area.

A flight delay landed me overnight in Astoria with this restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was incredible!

Always check your bill -careless service. Anémi Modern Greek is a contemporary Greek restaurant located in Astoria, Queens, specifically tucked inside the Voco Hotel. Opened in late 2025, the restaurant's name means "breeze" in Greek, reflecting its design goal of providing a serene, Aegean-inspired atmosphere through earthy tones and soft lighting. The restaurant aims to blend traditional Greek heritage with modern culinary innovation.  When I visited in October, I found the restaurant elegant, cozy, and "speakeasy-like," with low lighting and a lively atmosphere; it offers dine-in, takeout, and delivery and is noted for being family-friendly, with accommodations like high chairs. The restaurant, however, is not cheap, and my meal came to $56.00. Among the dishes offered were lobster pasta, grilled branzino, octopus, saganaki, petit filet mignon, and charred eggplant. For dessert, I was recommended ekmek kataifi (a custard-and-whipped-cream pastry with syrup). My main dish was beef carpaccio, which is filet mignon, truffle, radish, and shredded Parmesan, $29. What jacked up the price were the charges for bread, sparkling water, lemonade, and ekmek kataifi. Nothing on the menu was free. I was assigned a lovely table away from a boisterous crowd of diners, and by all standards, this should have been a 5-star experience, for it seemed that the owners and management had got everything right from food to ambiance! Well, it wasn't. I paid for the meal in cash, taking out $70 and assuming I would get the exact change. My waitress took my money and should have given me the exact change, which was $14, and let me determine the tip. She didn't, assuming I was giving her a $10 tip. I got $4.00 back. I then had to summon her back to provide me with exact change. I pointed out the error, which she did not contest. At the time, I was confused; was this an error or deliberate? In the end, I made $4.00, as the experience was unpleasant or careless, to say the least. Would I come back? Probably not, and in any case, management should review how they charge customers who pay cash. Hence my 2-star rating

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and stylish, and the team is incredibly welcoming. The food is outstanding -- everything tastes fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. One of my favorite things here is the salad: incredibly fresh vegetables, light, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Dishes come out quickly, yet the quality is clearly top-tier. The bartenders deserve a special mention -- always friendly, smiling, and creating great vibes at the bar. Highly recommend. A true gem for modern Greek Mediterranean cuisine.

I celebrated my birthday here last night with my girlfriends and we had the best time. This super cute, beautiful restaurant is tucked below a hotel in Astoria and truly feels like a hidden gem. The ambiance is a 10/10--warm, inviting, cozy, and absolutely gorgeous. It's perfect for a date night, girls' dinner, birthday celebration, or any special occasion. The drinks were excellent. My personal favorite was the Foufou because I love a spicy cocktail . It's made with Casamigos Jalapeño, mango purée, and cilantro--so good! My friends all tried different cocktails from the menu and everyone loved their drinks. We ordered a lot of appetizers since we like sharing and trying a bit of everything, and they were all delicious. Our favorites were the Prasini Salad, the Trio, Tuna Tartare, and the zucchini chips (paper thin, perfectly crispy, and not greasy at all). The Saganaki was great, and we all absolutely loved the Anemi Fetalo--definitely a must-try! For dinner we shared two entrées: the Branzino, which was delicious, and the NY shell steak. On the side we had lemon potatoes and truffle parmesan fries, both were delicious. We went on a Saturday night and the music was great, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff was very friendly. Our waitress was wonderful. It was busy, which is expected on a Saturday night, so just be patient with the servers , they are working hard .... Yet it's worth it! They made my birthday feel really special by bringing out desserts with sparklers, and even surprised us with a round of tequila shots on the house. You can really tell the owner(s) put a lot of thought and vision into this place. What makes it special is how intimate it feels. It's not a huge restaurant, which gives it a cozy, boutique vibe. For a few hours it honestly felt like we were on vacation. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be having such a great time, lots of birthdays, celebrations, and memories being made. Thank you for such a fun and memorable night. We will definitely be back soon!

I've been meaning to try this place for quite sometime and I'm so glad I finally did…read more They have an excellent lunch menu where you can get 3 tapas for $24 or 5 for $40. Regardless of the hot weather, I decided on a table outside. Each bite of the tapas was delightful for what it was and I ended up ordering an extra tapa because I couldn't make up my mind. I chose the shrimp in garlic sauce (oil) that I sopped up with the accompanied bread, the dates wrapped in bacon (they do their own twist by filling it with honey ricotta stuffing and finishing it with a red wine reduction), I also went with cod fish croquettes (the perfect crispness on the outside and a delectable creamy texture of fish inside), I can never pass up the patatas bravas, so, I got those too. I had a glass of a beautiful, crisp, white Chardonnay off the menu from Spain. Definitely a must try if you are looking for a quick meal for one. A wonderful experience overall, friendly staff and delightful colors that add to the outside atmosphere. Stoop and the city is also on the same block which is a plus
