And this group messed up out installion so a new team from Arizona had to come and fix it? Better yet we learned that the Texas crew has made mistakes before, so we weren't the first ones. Did you know that after the fixed install another guy came out from their place found another issue which he fixed? Where you aware that the battery pack they sell (we didnt want Musk) they clearly do not know that it requires a piece inserted to get Maricopa County inspector to sign off? Who knew. Not us and clearly not them. Don't worry they had the piece the second time the inspector came out. For the final inspection sign off it was an added cluster. Ignore the times they give you because they are just hypothetical. Let's see 9 to 12 pm doesn't mean 2.45 pm. Where did these times come from? The cable guy does a better job. Bonus - Did the company ever call us to apologize for their ineptitude? Nope. We had to reach out to get them to give us a small refund. Which was pulling teeth. Don't fret though they send the bill faster than they finish the project, and we totally understand the inspector time-frames which are beyond OWE control, but for a company who strives excellence I make a small recommendation. Over time, it became a major issue with pigeons nesting underneath--there was buildup, eggs, and a lot of damage being done. I was referred to Valley Solar Techs, and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I've made. From the very first conversation with the owner, I could tell I was dealing with someone honest. I explained I was on a budget, and instead of trying to upsell me, he worked with me, reassured me, and made me feel comfortable that I wasn't going to get taken advantage of. When the team came out, they were professional, efficient, and extremely thorough. They removed everything, cleaned underneath the panels--which was badly infested--and secured the system properly to prevent pigeons from ever getting back in. On top of that, they made sure my panels were cleaned and functioning the way they should be again. Before they arrived, my solar panels weren't even producing properly because of the damage and blockage. After they finished (in under five hours), everything was back to normal and running efficiently again. I signed up with the PPA Plan. 1) Installers came 2 days earlier than scheduled and gave me no prior notice. I came home from work to discover they installed the power panels on the exterior side of my house when they were intended to be in the interior of my garage. Will not move them without charging me. I signed an agreement for a system that was over-engineered with the intent of adding a pool. I no longer have the proper clearance to get equipment in my yard to dig the pool due to the electrical panel placement. 2) I now have a major pigeon problem. My roof and sides of my house are COVERED IN CRAP and broken eggs falling out of the nest for my dog to eat and become diseased. I have about 20 nests under my panels. Sunrun should be installing bird screens at the time of install. Instead, they tell you they had no way of knowing there was a "bird problem in the area". SERIOUSLY?!?! The panels are the cause of the bird problem. Now I'm told I have to pay $2,000 to have them fix a problem that should have never been a problem if Sunrun was pro-active and knew their business. This isn't something I should have to ask for during the design phase. They should know this. The (3) quotes I received; each company said birds are ALWAYS a problem with solar panels. Positives: 1) I save about $500 p/y on my electric bills. But the savings won't truly start until 4-5 years because I will have to pay $2,000 out of pocket for bird screening and clean up.
