In an otherwise great experience, the fact they make you prove you have birds nesting under the panels PRIOR to getting the free netting put up is an absurd policy. It's common sense and comes off as cheap and lazy to not address this out of the gate. I now have a several months-out appointment to get this installed. In the past 2 weeks I have had 4 dead birds fall out onto the side yard and clear damages I'm hoping gets cleaned up prior to the netting install. All of this could be avoided with a thorough company that took pride in their work. Scott Czosnyka was my rep and I could not say enough good things about him. We are extremely disappointment with this company. This company took advantaged of my Father who is elderly and understands very little English. He was never clear with what he was signing, he did not finished signing all the forms because he felt pressured and uncomfortable and the forms were only in English. My Parents notified their Electric Company that they did not want any panels installed on their roof. As soon as they notified the Sunsolar Solutions Representative that they decided not to have the panels installed, the Representative started to threatening my Father by telling him that he would still charged my Father even if they decided NOT to have it installed. My Father received a letter in Spanish that says he is being charge a total of $4,429.00 which includes $2,000 of the sale commission. The letter also says that it will be used against my Father in court if he does not pay. First of all he never signed all of the forms of contract and the panels were NEVER installed. This is Elderly Abuse and Fraud. Please resolved this issue. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! We purchased solar from them in 2021 and our solar equipment has broke FOUR TIMES IN A FOUR YEAR PERIOD. They install faulty equipment that frequently breaks, and they will not reimburse you for loss production citing that it is the equipment manufacturers fault and they are not responsible for faulty equipment. I got my solar panels installed over a year ago now and wanted to wait the full year cycle before leaving my honest review. I was told upfront that I would still have an APS bill but it would depend on my usage and since I didn't pay cash, I have the financing bill on top of it. My bill dropped from hundreds per month to less than $30 per month (even in the summer). Sunsolar Solutions has saved me thousands of dollars over this past year. My bill for financing is equivalent to what my regular energy bill was in the winter before going Solar. So it's still a huge savings especially in the summer. My house is 1600 sq fr for reference and we have a Tesla battery. I truly believe my experience has been so positive due to this battery. It automatically kicks on during on peak hours so I don't have to worry about the energy bill while making dinner in the evening. It's truly been a blessing. One of our lights was acting up this week so my husband disconnected the power to try to fix it. The battery automatically kicked on so he had to disconnect the system to fully shut off the power. After he swapped the light he turned the power back on but forgot to turn the system back on. Within 24 hours Sunsolar Solutions was notified that my system was not connected and they had a service technician out the next morning. I did not need to call them. I had already realized the issue and turned it back on but they are on top of it and still had someone come out to troubleshoot and make sure it was running smoothly. The technician was awesome and knew exactly what he was doing. Great company all around. I've read the other reviews. The company reads all those reviews too and gets better every time. So the issues you read about from months ago, they're not issues anymore. If your system goes out and you don't realize, they already know and are sending someone out to fix it. Don't want to keep track of on peak/ off peak hours? They automate that so you don't have to even think about it. Want to know how much your system is producing? I checked out pricing and reviews from several vendors, and went with Sunsolar. I have been pleased with their service. I have a large and complex roof area with shading, and they worked with me both for aesthetics and production. They also tilted some of the panels on the flat roof area to optimize production. Their technicians were timely and answered all my questions. Over the time I have had the system, there have been a couple of issues, but they were quick to address them. Their service department is particularly good, one employee, Quinn, is usually the person to come out and he is excellent. I highly recommend SunsolarSolutions. read more

I had it installed about 4 years ago. I didn't write a review then as I had mixed feelings. They used some foam to fill where the power panel had been (different shape vs the original) and left a mess of it all over the side of the house. I paid for the valances for the front and it took months for them to come in (granted, it was just post Covid pandemic, so I wasn't too upset) and I'm not 100% sure they would have ever installed them if I didn't stay on them. My biggest issue is I had a problem earlier this week and no one is answering the phone. I left messages on their support line 4 days ago and have hear NOTHING. That is unacceptable and should be thought about if you are going with them. Update: They reached out to me numerous times and corrected the issue. My only suggestion is, don't rely on your phone systems to notify you. Someone should still check the messages. read more

I intended to write a review for Sunsolar Solutions after my system was installed in August of 2023, but life interrupted and I didn't get around to it. We are approaching the anniversary of out system activation and I am still very happy with the product that was installed, with the service from the company, and with the honesty of everyone I have met and dealt with at Sunsolar Solutions. Our solar system performs as promised; we keep our thermostat set very low (72) and didn't have an electric bill until the temperature outside had been above 100 degrees for over two months. Even now, our APS bill is less than $20/month. But what is truly impressive about Sunsolar Solutions (besides still being in business, unlike a lot of the competitors) is their integrity. Last year, in August of 2023, the company sent me a check for $500. For some reason unknown to me, I didn't receive the check until August 2, 2024; when I attempted to deposit the check, the bank said it was too late. I was certain that I was just out of luck, but I called the company. When I told the customer service rep the story her surprising response was - "well, we will have to get you a replacement check". Today, the new check for $500 arrived in the mail. I judge a company on what it promises, what it delivers, how it treats its customers, and how does it recover from a problem. I give Sunsolar Solutions my personal A+++. read more

Signed in late August because of a APS energy but back ending in EOM August 2024. Salesman stated 60 typically for completion of job and solar power to go on line. Did not happen till mid November after many delays with install crews. I have called a couple of times requesting help with programming since Sunsolar did that originally without my consultation, was told I was on my own since they do not help with programming. Fast forward 5 years from my last review. I am now on my third invertor. Over the summer I have had bills over $500. I purchased the system from Sunsolar Solutions but they won't cover any warranty issues. They say that Titan installed the system and the warranty was with Titan who is now out of business. Can you imagine calling the Chevrolet dealer ship and them saying you no longer have a warranty because they didn't assemble the truck?? Had a salesman, Marko Bujas, come to my door while I was out of the house. My father-in-law answered and spoke with him. When he declined to listen to the sales pitch, the salesman quickly told him that he would soon be priced out of my home because of "rising APS rates". I have had solar previously in a different home and had a terrible experience ranging from improper installation (causing significant damage to my roof and interior ceilings) to poor customer service. I have mildly debated about looking into solar again, but with companies like this coming into neighborhoods and attempting predatory sales tactics, I wont be. the salesman saw an older gentleman and thought he could scare him into a quick sale. It's been about 2 months now since the system was finally up and running to it's a bit early to tell if this investment will work out of not. Summer will be the true test. The entire process took over 6 months to complete. Not all of the delays were created or caused by Sun Solar. You are dependent on the City of Peoria, the power company, and your HOA if required. It felt to me like there were some delays at the APS level but overall, the design and approval process was as explained. My reason for a low rating really reflects my frustration levels with the customer advocacy and scheduling process. The person assigned to be my advocate did not have any insights or calendaring for scheduling visits to my house. I would get a call that said we are coming out on Thursday, with no time frame. If I said I could not be home that day, they could not give me another date, that process would require a follow up phone call. They wouldn't even ask when I was going to be home. The original appointment was set for a Thursday/Friday. The day before I got a call saying they wanted to confirm my appointment for the following week. When I asked what happened to my appointment for tomorrow, the response was, "I have no idea". This type of communication strategy continued until the end. I had a couple of conversations that I am not proud of but it was very frustrating to hear that my advocate has not insights into scheduling. I hope someone was able to get past my aggressive approach to find a way to improve in this area. Here are some helpful tips you might consider. 1. Ask if they have ever installed solar on your model of home, have the look in the attic before signing any contract. The original design had to be changed due to the way the home was constructed. 2. Ask them to confirm all appointments in writing, either via email or text. This was not consistent. 3. Ask them if the installation crew can all an hour before planned arrival, I had spent several days at home all day to finally call after 3:30pm to find that no one was coming that day. 4. Ask about the process for covering payments if this is financed, if it takes more than a few months your Solar will not be working but you will be expected to pay the loan, Sun Solar will help you with that if it happens to you. read more

Great experience with Sun Solar, didn't really have any issues with their sales rep or their install team. They called or emailed whenever they had an update or what was going to happen on a given day that their team would be out. Hardly had to be present for much of the install, making it easy for me not to worry since I was out of town for the latter half of their schedule. They painted the conduits as long as I provided the paint and their projects include a battery which is a must for solar. Their install and inspection team ensured quality and respect of my roof and property when performing the installation. $180 a month during the summer is an absolute bargain when it comes to Arizona heat and greatly improved my home experience. We just got our system online today! We immediately were able to see the difference in power useage from the grid LIVE through the Tesla wall battery app. We're hopefull for the future and hope the system lasts the life of the house with minimal faults. The entire process was so easy and FAST! We were originally quoted 120 days to install and they got it done in 52 DAYS! Recently I made an appointment to have rep come and give me a quote and they were a no call/no show. Also, I received a flyer in my mail from Sun Solar Solutions. Printed on the flyer in bold print: "TEP DEADLINE SEPT 30. HOMEOWNERS MUST ACT NOW TO GET GRANDFATHERED IN". I called TEP in Tucson and asked if they had any such deadline and they said they had no such deadline. Obviously this company is using high pressure, deceptive advertising. Final update: the CEO of SunSolar stepped in and backed out costs incurred in my final payment. Very much appreciate the ownership and prompt response. ------ It's been a few weeks, and I'm downgrading my previous review by one star due to SunSolar's lackluster response and ownership of the problem they created. Over the course of a couple of weeks, I pinged my project manager every few days and received the same update that he was working to get me on the service team's schedule as they were very busy. It made me wonder why they were so busy - were repairs after installation common? I've never had an issue with three previous installs. I eventually gave up on SunSolar and hired a licensed roofing contractor who actually found 10 broken tiles. I paid $747 out of my own pocket to correct SunSolar's error. Ironically, I received a request from their office manager today asking for final payment. Will they do the right thing and reimburse me for the issue they created? In short, I'd grade SunSolar... I don't think I've ever been so unimpressed by a company rated 4 stars overall on yelp. This is the only company that refused to give any kind of numbers without a face to face meeting. I agreed to meet and they didn't have the proposal ready to share until the meeting was already half over, even though I had shared all the information and photos they had requested ahead of time. Very unorganized and spent a significant amount of time sharing how their company was different from others, all the while talking about things that in my experience getting quotes just this week don't actually differentiate them--what they state other companies don't offer were actually offered by every other company I've spoken with. Seems they haven't redone their market research to see how they are different from their competitors very recently. If you are going to require that customers meet with you to get information, please have enough respect for their time to have your proposal ready in advance of the meeting. Update: Within 5 minutes of posting this review I received a call from Chris, who Seth the sales rep I met with reports to, threatening to get an attorney involved. He had no interest in getting more information to see how his team could learn from the experience and ensure future customers don't go through the same thing and have the same frustration. I think that says a lot! I will not be changing my review even though he has threatened me as nothing I have stated is untrue and I personally rely heavily on yelp reviews to make decisions when choosing companies to do business with, and I think it is very important for potential clients to read about all experiences, both positive and negative to inform their decisions. Reply to Val: I appreciate your response and reaction to my review as it is far more professional than what I received from Chris. In regards to the proposal, I did request it via email in an attempt to save everyone a bit of time if it wasn't in the ballpark, but I was not upset that a meeting was required. My exact reply was "Alrighty, how about 11?" Not sure how he interpreted that as "very upset." There was never a timeframe put on the meeting, but regardless of if it was supposed to be a 30 minutes or an hour, everything should have been ready prior to the start of it.
