I LOVE coming to The Be Spa and getting services with Brea, the owner. The spa itself is very cute…read moreand relaxing. It's bright and airy and has a lot of natural colors and natural light. They did a great job with the decor in the lobby and in the spa rooms. The spa is on the second floor of the building and I believe that there is a med spa underneath. The location is right on Mayfield, whis is a pretty busy street, so pulling in and out can be a little tricky as you may have to wait a bit, but parking is easy. Brea is super knowledgeable about skin and skin care products and has really empowered me to be more serious about how I take care of my face. During my initial consultation we talked about my skin and my cleansing routine and she determined what type of facial would be best for me. Throughout the entire facial she talked to me about the products that she was using and answered every question I had about how to achieve a naturally clear and glowy complexion. I was truly impressed by how much information she was able to share with me. The spa has all of the gadgets and gizmos you'd want during a facial and the space is super relaxing. When I was done asking questions, I fell asleep for a bit. It's really calming in there. One of the best things about Brea is that she has her own line of skin care products. She really lives out her philosophy and understanding of skin care through her products, which are natural and fragrance free. She's not pushy about people purchasing them, but offers it as an option to continue working on your skin. I've purchased her exfoliator, turmeric moisturizer, toner, and brightening serum and continue to use some of the cleansers and serums that I already had. I LOVE the liquid exfoliator. I can really feel it working and have noticed a difference since I've started. She's good at helping you to create a simple routine to help improve your skin. Overall, this is a really great spa. I'm fortunate to have such a knowledgeable esthetician in a beautiful and inviting space and I'm really excited to see how my skin can progress as I continue to learn from and get serviced at The Be Spa.

This place is fantastic! I happened upon this place as I searched Yelp reviews for a nail salon…read morenear my house. It has been open for a few months now and is located across the street from Heinen's. I am impressed with how clean and modern looking it is. There is a computer checkin upon arrival, and after picking a nail color, I was offered water, coffee, or tea-either green or ginger tea. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I got an eyebrow wax, and Serenity mani/pedi. Pedi chairs are very comfortable with full massage function. My nail tech was Mila, offered me a variety of "flavors" for the type of scents to be used during my pedi, which included a massage, mask, heated towel wrap, and exfoliation. This is a wonderful place with hardworking and sincerely nice employees who seem to enjoy their work. Great quality products and attention to detail in the mani/pedis. They really take time during the massage - this isn't like other nail salons that make you feel like you are being rushed or an inconvenience. I will definitely be going back and I encourage others to do so-support this small business!

A few things: You said I booked a $25 beard trim. What I actually booked was a $32 (obviously,…read morebefore the reversal). I can show you the receipt. You said I was 11 minutes late. 11 minutes. Most dentists, doctors' offices, and social services offices provide a grace period of 15 minutes. That's a reasonable accommodation for traffic conditions. Even still, being 11 minutes late has nothing to do with me not having an empty chair when I got there. I could understand if it was 20 minutes. I arrived early to my 1st and 2nd appointments; and, the 1st appointment was good , which is why I booked the 2nd. I still waited 30-40 minutes before the second appointment began. On my 3rd appointment, I waited 10 minutes until the receptionist was off the phone just to be checked in and told that another barber would be completing my service. I said OK and was told he was finishing up. I waited another 10 minutes (while I read the reviews of the lounge) before I walked out. If we are talking about punctuality, I'll give you the 11 minutes, and you still owe me some time. I guess all those other people in the reviews complaining about your double-booking were 11 minutes late as well. You already stated in your own words, "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable and I will personally own that." There is nothing more to say after that. To accuse me of being condescending when all I am doing is telling my side tells me two things. #1, you don't know what condescending means. And #2, you don't know what accountability means. Lastly, I have never seen or spoken with a Lozell S. I spoke with a woman that day. I did not get her name. I was never asked, nor was I ever offered an opportunity to speak with the owner. If I had, I would have taken that opportunity. I am a reasonable person. I asked her if I could receive 50% back. She said no refunds. I said OK. She never mentioned a refund at all. I took it like a life lesson, and I left peacefully. I did not know I had been given a refund until after I left my initial review. Even then, I only asked for 50% back. If anyone says anything different, it is a lie. I did receive the deposit back, and it is appreciated. To anyone reading this: Read my comment carefully. Then read the response from the owner. Then ask yourself if you really want to take the chance of having to deal with this. A professional owner would have stopped at "To feel slighted is absolutely understandable, and I will personally own that." Instead, this owner would rather call the customer a liar in a Yelp review. Read the other reviews and ask yourself if you think I'm lying. This has been wild.
