When I say this place is a complete joke, I genuinely mean it. Village Eye Care has been one of the most frustrating, disorganized, HORRIBLE, SCAMMY, and borderline dishonest medical experiences I've ever had. First of all, the pricing is outrageous and feels straight-up predatory. There is zero transparency, and it constantly feels like they're trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. As a college student, I made my situation very clear, and not once did they show even a shred of consideration or flexibility. No payment options, no understanding--just rigid policies and a "too bad" attitude. The lack of professionalism is honestly shocking. They didn't even send me a copy of my prescription right away--which, by the way, they are legally required to do. I had to chase them down for something that should have been automatic. It gets worse. They repeatedly told me I "needed" special, expensive contacts when that was completely untrue. I later found out I can wear regular Biofinity toric lenses just fine. The price i paid for so many years was 1600$ which is an utter scam when i found out I CAN GET A YEAR SUPPLY FOR 200$. So either they're wildly incompetent or intentionally misleading patients to upsell--neither is acceptable. Their communication is a disaster. I was never given a tracking number for my contacts. Then, they claimed my contacts hadn't even shipped--when in reality, they had already been delivered and stolen. So instead of taking responsibility or helping resolve the situation, they just fed me incorrect information and left me stuck dealing with the consequences. To top it off, when I tried to order my contacts through 1-800 Contacts after this mess (my contacts being stolen from my porch), the doctor tried to refuse the order when they contacted her. After everything that already went wrong, that level of control and lack of cooperation is completely unacceptable. They also misled my mom for YEARS, claiming my vision was too bad for standard lenses and that I needed specialty ones--again, not true. That's not just frustrating, that's deeply unethical. Overall: overpriced, inflexible, disorganized, and dishonest. I would not trust this place with your eyes or your money. If i could give this place 0 stars i would!!!! read more

I bought the most exquisite pair of Gucci glasses from this store today. Every year, I come back here particularly to have Sherice assist me in selecting a new frame. She constantly selects eyewear to fit both my personal and business style since she knows what I like. Sherice remains a consistent presence, despite the frequent turnover of staff. She is knowledgeable, professional and cordial. It is such a relief to know that I will be met by a kind and welcoming staff member each visit. Several locals from the area passed by and waved at her during my visit. So, it is clear that she is a popular member of the business community. I will no longer patronize this business if Sherice departs. Since Sherice has been the cornerstone of this neighborhood establishment for at least ten years, I'm not sure why she isn't in charge of this location or at the very least managing it. Sherice is also the reason I spend about $1k annually.
