I am no delicate rose. My hands have gone through hell with chemicals and taking care of children, fur or no fur. I was recommended this nail place by an old student of mine who ALWAYS has pristine nails, designs changed almost every other week. She told me that her mom was the one who's always done her nails and of course I pestered her for her parents' shop info lol After 1-2 years of saying, "Yea, I'll go next week" (when one works in the food industry sometimes it's not worth it) I finally had the opportunity to go with a friend of mine today and the experience did not disappoint! Luckily we went when it wasn't too busy and we were assisted right away. Mr. Nguyen did my cleaning and cuticles and I was very surprised about how gentle he was as the last time I got my nails done was about 10 years ago and I don't remember it being that gentle. I felt nothing and I don't recall ever seeing my nails so clean! And Kelly did an amazing paint job. I chose a simple color because that's what I usually do at home, I'm too lazy to consider anything else lol. She helped me pick out a color that looked nicer with my complexion (I wanted to get a turquoise of sorts but I'm terrible with color matching). After the color was done she recommended a simple design for Valentine's, I said sure, and the results were great! She really took account into "I'm very simple" (maybe said that a few times hahaha) and went along with that idea! Attached to this review is also my friend's results, I didn't catch the name of her artist but she did an amazing job as well. My friend had a design with her and her artist did I think an even better job than the original design! My pedicure with Hannah was lovely, but what meant more to me was how they took care of my 5 year old! Very clean and everything is new because they moved from Santa Ana to this orange location now. I like how my nails are done by Kelly - the owner. ***UPDATE AT BOTTOM*** I went in with this inspo pic(1) and was told it could be done. After spending close to an hour applying and shaping acrylic and it still being so lumpy and uneven, I wanted to make the process a little quicker so I asked to switch my design and just do the whole nail a solid color(2). The tech doing my nails said no and that she would only do the first design because it would look better, then didn't let me choose the color or even confirm that it was the right shade before painting the "tips". Just to be charged $90 for what looks like a child's failed art project on my nails. Holding back tears is not how anyone should be leaving a salon The owners have since reached out and offered sincere apologies which speaks volumes to their customer service considering this mistake was not their fault. Multiple family members of mine have had gorgeous nails done at this salon and I have no doubt my next set will be too. I also failed to mention in my previous review that the pedicure I got that day was absolutely amazing and still looks brand new weeks later!
