Middle finger cracked gel-fill 2 days ago

2 for designs So I'm going to leave a Yelp and Google review because I'm honestly a little disappointed. I got my nails done by Kayla, and while I love the fact that she can do designs, the quality just isn't there. I paid about $100 for a gel fill with designs, and the very next day the tip of one of my nails cracked and popped off. I went back and she fixed it, but I no longer live in California, so shortly after that I got on a plane and flew back home to another state. Once I got home, I noticed my middle finger was sore and hurting. When I looked closely, I realized there was a crack underneath the nail. Basically, the nails are being done too thin. She does nails fast and the designs are cute, but the quality just isn't there. Now I have to go to a nail shop here in Texas to get them fixed because I'm about to go on a cruise, and I do not want my nail to break or split down the middle, which is extremely painful if you've ever experienced it. Not to mention, my husband got a manicure and pedicure, and I got a pedicure and gel fill as well. He tipped $20 total, which was nice considering multiple people were working on us at the same time. Someone worked on his feet, someone else worked on his hands, Kayla worked on my hands, and another person worked on my feet. When they split the tips, one of the ladies walked past me and sarcastically said, "Thank you for my $5 tip." I thought that was very unprofessional and tacky. Just because several people are assigned to work on us at once does not mean we're expected to tip every single person $10 each. That's absurd. Overall, I'm disappointed because my nails should not be cracking the very next day, especially after paying that much money. At this point, two nails have already cracked, and I don't even know about the rest yet. Unfortunately, next time I'm back home in California, I will not be returning.

She didn't make me feel rushed or pressure me to get a higher price pedicure set (I chose the deluxe). She did a very good job on my toes especially scrubbing the bottom of my feet. Which is always a big problem I have at other nail salons. They barely scrub your feet!! Side note* I don't have any fungus/ calluses/ cracked skin on my heels)... One of my toe nails chipped on the third ( I think it was my error). I went back and Stephanie (she nice too) fixed my toe. Free of charge. I'm so mad I just now found this place! Definitely will be going back. I found my go to Nail Salon!

Came to this nail salon on 03/20 got a manicure and pedicure paid $129 to get horrible service. They rushed my entire service, i had one lady doing my toes and left them incomplete and had someone else finish while the lady started on someone else's pedicure... had a guy doing my manicure was rushing the entire time once again, told him the light was really burning me and told me no it wasn't. came back 2 days later because my nail was lifting. i got there an they were all staring at me like i was the problem and had the same guy who did them originally fixing my nails and was trying to tell me they weren't lifting while grabbing my hand very hard i had to pull it away so i can show him. i left with a thicker french tip than i have on my other fingernails and they left all the surrounding crusty. i don't ever leave reviews but this was just unacceptable. if i cant rate no stars i would.

I'm obsessed with Angel Nails !! Benny does my nails and usually anyone who is available does my pedi. They have the most luxurious pedicure services a lot of other places don't offer. They have the jelly pedis which I LOVE ! Highly recommend Angel nails. I come from Pittsburg and it's well worth it.

Two words : AMAZING SERVICE hands down this will be my new spot to get a pedicure! Felt very welcomed when walking inside. Everyone is so nice here. They also give you a complimentary drink with your service. I got a pedicure removal and a fresh set. They are so patient, Benny is who did my pedicure and his customer service is top tier! I will forsure start asking for him! He does exactly what you want and gets the job done! They also put music in the background which is nice and relaxing. I had sent out my wife to get her nails done recently! I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE. The person doing her nails was very bitchy and rude toward her. Some short bald guy don't know his name. Came in for some last minute pedicures, they were so welcoming and were able to take us right away. The pedicures were very good, with cute little details. Brought us some juice on trays with flowers, their pedicure trays have cute decorations on them. The massage time was perfect, and massaging chairs as well. I would definitely return! read more

New to the bay area & started going here (because it's close to home) in 2025. The men do an excellent job on pedi's, so they're always busy. The women generally do a mediocre to ok job. But if you need acrylic on a toenail, you have to wait for a man to free up to help. The last pedi, completed by a woman, 2 weeks ago - was so bad, that I think they just assigned her to me to avoid me leaving due to a long wait. Never again will I go back. She didn't file my nails, big toenail broke & another nail gel nail chipped. Go elsewhere if you can't get an appointment with one of the men. read more

Terrible customer service. I came here for my daughter's birthday to get her nails done with her best friend. At first they told us they didn't know how to do a rainbow, then tried to upsell us that it could only work on gel nails (we didn't budge) , then they started doing her friend's nails and cleaned them nicely and put a lot of effort into her friend's design. My daughter didn't get the same treatment, they kept rotating people to do her nails one person came and cleaned them then she waited and waited and finally another came to put the polish, but they left her nails dirty and slapped on some polish, no effort or care , and the design quality is subpar, I could do way better at home. Don't waste your money on people who don't take pride in their work. Also the hygiene standards are really lacking. read more

1 star for the designs being cute. Otherwise, would not recommend. I came in, on my birthday (7/5), told the nail tech, whom I think was the owner, of this fact, and Iwas hoping for good nails and to pamper myself. I wanted a fill for both my daughter and I ( I called in advance for appointments). Only came here because there was no availability at the shop I normally go to *Lisa's nails in Antioch and my coworker said that she had a friend recommend Angel nails. Owner did us both in 1 hour. Nails were so far from the cuticle they looked 1 week old when she was done. Quick application, and thin. 1 of my daughter's nails needed a new tip as she broke one a few days before, that one looked really wonky, nail was tilted up, the way nail biters acrylics look.. she's not a nail biter. Fast forward 2 weeks my nails look a month outgrown and I have a split at the apex, too low to rip off.. that blows. Won't ever be back, and do not recommend. read more

She was very careful with the nail drill and when I expressed that it felt hot at one point, she was more cautious afterwards. Cuticle removal was also meticulous and not once was I cut. The gel polish was applied evenly and there were no bubbles or unevenness which I appreciate--being picky with my nails. The salon itself was very clean and spacious, with many spa chairs for pedicures and manicure tables. I paid a total of $51 ($40 for gel mani, $10 soak off--with service, and $6 tip but 10% off when you pay cash) which is quite reasonable compared to other places anywhere in the bay. I will definitely be rebooking with Sophia and recommend her to anyone just looking for a great gel mani.

Their prices are $13 - 20 higher than other comparable salons, I don't mind paying extra for a specialty/ premium pedi but this is not the case . I'm not sure what justifies this high price, but I will not be coming back. *edit after business response : high sanitation practices should be standard and not considered a luxury. The prices are still higher than other salons.*

First, she was rough and was cutting my skin and poking me and causing me to bleed on many of my toes and nails! Especially my left pinky toe nail which she also used a cheese grater to remove callouses. I usually go for the deluxe treatment which they didn't use the grater on me at other places but this time I just ordered the callous treatment which was 38. so 20. cheaper. But the grater took off some of my skin not only callouses. Especially since the pinky toe area is sensitive. When she cut my nails I was wondering why she was cutting it so short and part of my skin as well. Then she proceeded to poke and prod and file the short nail down even more. After I kept getting hurt and saying ouch numerous times, I was debating maybe I should have got up and just left! But I am such a ninny, and polite that I stayed and thought it can't get much worse, it will be ok. It became a comedy of errors. It looked like a 3rd grader painted my nails and she kept fixing one nail but then accidentally touched the other nail on the other foot ruining the polish and had to keep going back and forth fixing it. You would think you would learn after 1 or 2 of these accidents, but she did it over and over I just started laughing bc it was comical! She was laughing too and saying sorry! Normally, when the polish comes off accidentally it was bc of me, not the nail salon person! Then I asked bc this was the first time I had a black border on the top and bottom edges and some side edges? I thought maybe it was bc I picked a light blush pink color and I never had that as usually I got French manicures which are even lighter in color! I didn't have my reading glasses so I couldn't see well, but she painted the edges more. Later when I got home I was looking over the black edges wondering why they were black? It was because of dried blood!!! She cut it too short causing it to bleed and poked and prodded further making it bleed. I guess it was underneath. Then that pinky on the left was red and inflamed and painful. So I don't know if it was hurting from irritation, or if it got infected!? Two days later it is still red and hurts. The cheese grater she took out didn't come out of any solution I was thinking I hope they sterilized it!? Anyway, this was closer to my house so I went there since it was the weekend and less busy there than my usual place. But definitely avoiding this place next time! Oh and another thing she had long, sharp nails as well and she would dig her nails into the edges as well. Just not a good experience all the way around. I still gave her a good tip( although I really was thinking I shouldn't but I think I'm just conditioned to do it now and thought well she did the work at least) and she lol looked surprised too! I hate to say this, I would avoid going here with all of these red flags and painful bleeding experience- I just never had that. I may have one or two ouches with an aggressive technician and I have a high pain tolerance, but this was the entire pedicure! I was thinking what a WASTE of my money and it didn't even look good like a little kid painted my nails!

I've been going to Kayla at Angel Nails for years, and I honestly wouldn't go to anyone else. She's hands-down the most friendly, fast, and reliable nail tech I've ever had. She's always super accommodating and respectful of my time--even if I only have 15 minutes, she still gets my nails done perfectly. One thing I really appreciate is how patient she is when I'm unsure about colors or designs. She never makes me feel rushed and is always willing to let me try different options and even gives her honest opinion on what looks best with my skin tone. That's something I haven't experienced at other salons. I always leave extremely happy with both how my nails look and how they feel annd the pricing is fair too! Worst nail experience of my life here! I usually get acrylic pink and white when I go to the salon and I had heard good things about Angel's so I decided to go. BAD mistake. The lady who did my nails was so rude and I asked to have a design on my nails and she told me it was too late because they needed to close. When she told me to wash my hands I got up and came back with them dry but with some water on my wrists, and she looked at me and rudely said "I told you to wash your hands, do you not listen or something?" LOVE KEVIN! Always go to Kevin. The few times I've deviated, I've been disappointed. I have been going to Kevin for the past 5 years and he has never let me down. There are NEVER air bubbles in my nails, my acrylic lifts much less then when I see others. Angels Nails also offers the best prices I've found when it comes to 1) acrylic sets 2) fills 3) gel. I recently visited this salon to remove my acrylic nails. While the staff member was very friendly, I was charged $15 for the removal, which is higher than the average $10 at other places. Unfortunately, the removal process was quite painful and left my nails damaged and soft. I understand that removing acrylics can be a bit harsh on nails, but the technique used was a bit too rough. I had an amazing pedicure experience! The technician was very kind, gentle, and detailed -- she really took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect. The foot massage was relaxing, the salon was clean and peaceful, and I felt so pampered the entire time. You can tell she truly cares about her clients. I just moved to this area and I went into the salon because a coworker told me how good this place is. I wish I never would have gone to this salon. They cut into my nail with a drill not once, not twice, but a couple of times. I ended up getting an infection after that. However, my coworker has nothing but good things to say about this place.
