This was a dirty place. The owner was rude and grabbed my hand in a mean way, jerked me when I wasn't doing it right. I had her take off my nails and she a horrible job and charged me $30.00!!! She made me wait 30 min twice while she took another customer and kept my hands soaked in remover til they burned. Awful place. Gave me enough time to look around and see the filth. I'm sure people get fungus. She doesn't open new gear. Her files and things are worn so bad they should have been tossed ages ago.

Travis and Linda are amazing they work with you at times and dates and the work is beautiful. Make sure you check them out.

I have been coming to see Lyda and Travis for a year. And I am very happy with the work they do. They are very friendly and also understanding when it comes to how I like my nails. Price range is reasonable, clean equipment and sterilize. Good service over all.

I have been coming here for the past year. I started off receiving a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I loved them both but my nails were just not strong enough for the gel manicure. Linda suggested I try a dip powder manicure instead. I absolutely love it. It lasts longer than a gel manicure, about three weeks. My nails don't break and our longer than ever. I highly recommend trying Angel nails! read more

Another place I won't be returning to. I came here a few times and they are really nice and did a decent job so I've returned. But today I left really not liking my nails. They don't pay attention to the small details, the ones that drive us all crazy. My nails are crooked, the paint is uneven, and they make me bleed. Why is it so hard to find consistently good service?! read more

I hate when people say this but I'm saying it. I almost hate to leave this review because I don't want this place getting busier than it already is..... This is a small shop in Sola Salons. It's quiet and friendly. Lynda and her husband both do amazing nails. I get dip powder- flawless every time and long lasting. I also like that they typically stay on schedule so you're not waiting forever or getting your appt bumped by a walk in like so many places. read more

I have been coming to Travis and Linda for over 20 years. I live in Northridge but drive to get my nails done. Friends say I should go closer to home and not spend money on gas and time in car. But Travis does a fantastic job. I get people asking me all the time where do I get my nails done. Several people also do the drive. It is well worth it. I love the way my nails always come out. Also Mary does pedicures for me and she does a great job too. They started a new loyalty rewards program. So every time you come in you get points and will get a coupon to redeem. Score for the clients. read more

Where do I start, if I could give a ZERO I would. My daughter came in to this salon for a fill. She was told by the nail lady she needed a new set, she didn't need a new set her set was actually brand new, my daughter showed her a pic of what she wanted and what they actually did was a monstrosity. My daughter was on the verge of tears and on top of that and was being bullied by the lady. After seeing what she was getting from pictures my daughter sent me I could not believe she was going to charge her $65 dollars totally taking advantage of her for being nice and being so young. After I spoke to the nail lady on speaker and told her that the nails she requested to be ombré where definitely not and if and she could just tAke off and do one color gel she continued to tell me that she had another appointment and basically didn't have time. I told her we made an appointment as well and we are paying customers, that was not the right way to treat a client. She then said I will take off and you can go somewhere else and I said ok. In the process of taking off they cut my daughters nails really bad and never apologized. My daughter said sorry and thank u any way, she had to leave and not finish the take off because it was so painful. Instead of apologizing she continued to be rude to my daughter and told her next time bring ur mom you don't know what you want. Unbelievable!! If you can't do the nails you are shown from a picture just say so, don't just wing it do a horrible job and think ur going to charge for a Monstrosity of a job. HORRIBLE And TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! They don't know want ombré is. My daughter left there terrified with the experience and crying. read more

The reason for the one star is- the fact that Linda ruined my eye brows. Went in for a full set and Mary and she did a amazing job. She was polite and took her time!! Linda however tried to get me in and out of the waxing room in less than 5 mins. I told her to thin out one side to match the other- point to where it needed to be thinned, and needless to say she over tweezed and made them un even and horrible!! Best part about it was when I had told her "does this look even to you" knowing damn well she messed up- she said "no it's not even but that's what I told her to do" I will never be coming back her for that reason. read more

I have been coming here for 9 years, since I was 16 years old. My mom brought me here and I have been coming back every two weeks. I get my mani/pedi's here, and ONLY here. Linda and Mary do a wonderful job. It's a small, friendly place that does a clean job. I have never had any infections, fungus, or anything nasty like that from here. They sanitize everything and make sure you're happy. It's not the type of place that has spa chairs or anything. Just a simple place that gets the job done. For $23 mani/pedi, it's the best place ever. I won't go anywhere else. It's worth a try!!!! They don't accept credit cards but take cash and checks. There is a BofA next to them. read more

I wanted a very local place to replace Melody Nail, which moved to Valencia. I have been to a couple of places, but went here because it is so close. I made an appointment, but the signage says "walk-ins welcome". If you want to be seen in the evening make an appt as they locked up as I was leaving at 6:15. "Travis" and "Linda" (Birth names...I don't think so. :) ) run this small nail salon. They live locally and raise their children here. Travis greeted me right away. The chairs were large office chairs, which I liked. Linda turned on the TV to the 5PM news, and asked me if that was OK (I was the only customer at the time). I did not see a pedi chair. But I am not interested in a pedicure. Travis did a spectacular job at my acrylic fill and the price was perfect...$17! I think I have found my new nail place. :) read more

I got my nails done here 1 week ago, and they did a terrible job. My acrylics did not last, and three of my nails already came off. I called to ask if they can fix it and they wanted me to pay for the charge.. When I said I would just go to another nail salon if that's the case to pay for removal and just for them to fix their mistake they just hung up on me- very rude and they don't take their time on your nails. Horrible service. Came in as a walk in and they never greeted me nor asked what service I wanted. Only three people in the store and they took forever with the customers there already. Waited for an hour, hoping for an opening where they could help me, but never got one. Only giving an extra star because I know they do a good job on your nails, if you can ever get one of them to do them. read more

Remembering this location, I made an appointment online with Mariam for Saturday at 11am. I arrived 10 minutes early, and she was ready for me. I warned her in advanced that I'm terrified of the drill and nail file, so I would most likely flinch or make a funny face when it is in use. Unfortunately, my fear is so much worse than I thought because I was uncontrollably squirming/ tensing up, and truly just being a nightmare client. Mariam was SO EXTREMELY patient, kind, and gentle with me. She kept checking in to make sure I was okay, and would announce when the scary part was done. I was so embarrassed by my behavior, but she was very sweet. In addition to her kindness, she was fast. I got a Russian manicure with fast gel (no removal) for $85 (and a $2.47 service fee). The whole process took 45 minutes. The color came out exactly how I wanted it to, and I was very please with how uniform the shape of the nails were. FYI: There are two Beauty By Lid locations. One is for hair, eyebrows, facials, etc, while the other one is the nail salon. The nail salon location has a smaller and tighter parking lot.

I've been going here for only a couple months but I can honestly say it's the friendliest place around! They would often bring their kids out along with them and I must say it keeps me and my family entertained. Lynda does amazing designs, and her husband does great hair! But they're often booked so I can understand SOME the negative reviews on here, but give them a second go! :) They're great, funny, people and their work often last a while. read more

The salon is not fancy but amiable with customer service . The ladies working here are nice and pro : from simple mani, pedi to acrylic , gel , shellac ... , all submit with detailed and oriented . No need to mention the sanitation and cleanliness because all spa chairs and equipment are well sanitized after each use . The price is sure moderate with the pro service like this . This is by far my favorite place in SCV to get mani/pedi's!! I get regular manicures and they last for at least 10 days, and I've gone 2+ weeks before with the same polish!!! Linda always gets me an appointment and my daughter gets her acrylics here too! Travis does an amazing job and we love them!!! read more
