Post wedding bliss. I am so thrilled with how my gown turned out. I was a little nervous going into Angel Rivera's store. I had gone to several different bridal salons and hadn't found anything I *loved.* Plus, this bridal salon is just so lovely and screams high end. I was concerned nothing would be in my price range. But! I was so pleasantly surprised. I came in with my mother, future mother-in-law, and my maid of honor. We were greeted warmly by Dwight who matched us up with Lois. Lois was an absolute hoot! She made shopping super fun and was so helpful in terms of finding things that fit my style and body. As a plus size bride, I had some experiences at other boutiques where they didn't have any sample sizes that would come close to fitting me. At Angel's I had plenty to choose from! The building is stunning, converted from a bank. It's filled with tons of options. I selected a number of dresses to try on and found one that just felt right. I tried on one more dress just to confirm my decision. My gown was perfect and even better, they were happy to alter it and add straps to the dress so that I would feel a bit more secure in the bust area. Through out the process, Angel himself was very present and happy to lend his opinion and expertise. He was also extremely helpful when my mom, who graciously paid for the gown, decided after presenting a check that she would prefer to pay with a credit card. I worked very closely with Julia regarding the actual alterations of the dress. We went through several fittings. (at least 3.) But she made sure that the dress fit me perfectly and accentuated all the right places. She also made sure that my mother was extremely clear on how to get me into the dress and clasp the back. I was able to pick up my gown the weekend before the wedding. Dwight carried it out and gingerly set the dress down in the car. Post wedding, the salon offers a great deal to have your dress preserved through them. I took them up on the offer and about two months later the gown was shipped directly to my apartment and looked perfect. The only issue I had was that while my mother was instructed on how to get me into the dress, I hadn't paid a lick of attention on how to get out of the dress, which was a bit frustrating at the very end of the night when my new husband was doing his best to release me from it. He struggled a bit, but it made for a good story afterwards, so all's well that ends well! read more

Angel is beyond talented and amazing. I'm so happy that I decided to hold out on previous gowns at other salons. Walking into the salon you feel like a VIP (as every bride should). All of the gowns are out in the open and you can sort through the ones then catch your eye while Angel ask questions and truly listens to what you're looking for. When trying everything on he is so efficient and professional and not to mention, his gowns are so well made down to every detail. It's truly incredible. I LOVED my experience at Angel Rivera's salon. I was greeted by a kind gentleman who asked what I was looking for and pulled out 6 dresses for try on. Shortly later to find out it was the designer himself. From the look on Angel's face he was SO proud of his creations. Finally put this one on and that was it for me ! Ivory silk satin with Chantilly and guipure lace. Lucky for me someone had ordered it the wrong size and was added to the "sample" dresses so got it at a great price. Also purchased a Swarovski crystal belt which just added a little bling to an already amazing dress. Recommend this salon to any bride looking for a great shopping experience all around ! read more

Fantastic experience! I live down the street, so I went on a whim with my mom one Saturday morning. I walked in and was immediately asked by a male associate if we would like some help... It turns out that it was the designer Angel HIMSELF who was there in the store (and I didn't even know it was him until one of the other associates told me!) He was very patient and listened carefully to what I was looking for. The whole dress selection was wonderful, from helping us pick the dress, to the fitting and completion of the sale. he did not try to up-sell me or push anything on me. He brought out a champagne toast to celebrate after we bought the dress! The store is lovely and spacious. The dresses are great, b/c they fit my small petite frame. Most other dresses that I have tried on were too big or had too many layers and I felt like I was being swallowed. The Angel dresses fit me perfectly. What an amazing and wonderful experience I had at Angel Rivera's Bridal Atelier. I had shopped at several bridal stores, but none could compare to the pleasant and memorable experience I had working with Angel. From the moment I walked through the door with my mom, I felt so special. Angel was very attentive and so helpful while listening to my ideas about the type of gown I was looking for.
