They were friendly, professional, and even cracked a few jokes while explaining exactly what they were going to do and how long the job would take. Their work truck was clean, they were well-organized, and all three technicians were professional and respectful. I left them working in my garage while I went to work, and when I came home a few hours later, everything was finished. The installation was outstanding. My garage was spotless, the brake system looked professionally installed, and all the wiring was neatly hidden inside the trailer frame instead of hanging underneath. Instead, I contacted BAL, the manufacturer of the slide system, directly. BAL recommended a retrofit repair kit as the proper fix, which I purchased myself for $160. That kit includes two new motors. Once I had the OEM-recommended parts, I asked this company for a labor-only quote. After multiple follow-ups, they declined to even provide one, stating their technician "has not had good luck" with these retrofit kits and that they were not comfortable performing the repair. That's the part I find most frustrating. The retrofit kit still involves replacing the same motors they originally diagnosed as failed. If they were not comfortable performing the manufacturer-recommended repair, that should have been disclosed upfront -- before I paid for a diagnosis and spent time sourcing the solution myself. I appreciate their honesty in ultimately admitting their limitations, but that honesty came after the fact, not before. In the end, I paid $200, got no repair, no quote, and no clear path forward until I handled it myself. Future customers should ask upfront whether the technician is experienced with their specific slide system and whether they are willing to quote labor separately before paying for a diagnosis.

I will let all my USA affiliates know about the way they operate and treat you like a criminal. Never in all my years have I dealt with this. I said right from the start, the starter wire (common on Volvo trucks) or battery cables loose. I told him I will put him on our perferred list, if he was fair, but obviously he didn't care. I asked several times for the part number and he played stupid. I had both the Delco Remy and OEM numbers to confirm what he was attempting to put on and we ended up putting the old one on again and it was the starter wire like I said. This guy turned and said $850. And I said no! We fought and he put it down to $650. but we should not have paid more than the agreed service call of $350. as he was just trying to pull a fast one. We had an important load to deliver and he screwed us up on that too. I would check his credentials as a mechanic, because they shouldn't be crooked. I have been in the trucking business for decades, have come across shady characters before but this guy tops all, my driver even said that he was just screwing us and wasting our time. Often times, if not most of the times nowadays, he rarely reads or replies my texts. If I called him, 95% of the time I will only get to his voicemail and he rarely calls me back. I was hoping to have Robert be my go-to person whenever my trailer has any problems, but he has become extremely unreliable and unresponsive. It makes me wonder if he wants my business or not. Now, don't get me wrong, Robert is skillful with RV/Trailer repair/service/maintenance. He's knowledgeable and definitely is competent to troubleshoot and repair any kind of issues you may have with your RV/trailer.
