Beware! Made an appointment, showed up on time, charged me $140.00 to change a brake light and check to see why I had engine light on. He turned off the engine light, which turned back on 4 hours later, He said I had not made an appointment and is why he was charging me this amount. Went to another mechanic and in less than 5 minutes hooked up my car to his hand-held machine and told me why exactly I was being notified about engine light and what part needed to be ordered and and charged me "zero" to tell me that! I highly recommend to NOT COME TO THIS MECHANIC as he takes advantage of people by overcharging ridiculous amounts of money. read more

I had to replace my alternator and was calling auto shops on Saturday to get a quote; Akram was one of the few shops open and responsive. I got a very reasonable quoted price (other shops quoted me ~$350 - ~$450 while Akram quoted me $245) and was able to drop off my car in first thing in the morning on their next available business day! I dropped my car off because the air conditioning compressor was not getting power. They kept my car for a week, could not figure out what the problem was, and still charged me $140. I highly suggest not going to this automotive electrical repair shop. They keep your car for a week, do nothing, and still charge you. They were not even skilled enough to know that this model of compressor has an ECV valve that sends a message to the computer to shut off the power when the ECV valve is tripped. They did not even know basic electrical to fix the problem. read more

I have to say that Aziz at Akram Auto is a pleasure to deal with! A+ service and prices are the best in the area! I brought my failing starter for my Acura and at first it wasn't the correct one because that was my fault. I provided him with the wrong motor. b20 vs b18 manual starters are slightly different. (the shorter bolt on top is a few mm off) Anyway I mentioned this to Aziz and he was quick to get my original starter back to me the very next day! He rebuilt it quickly. As soon as I got my starter back I slapped it on with no issues. Top bolt went in, then the bottom long bolt went in... like butter! Anyways I will always go to Aziz at Akram Auto. Saw Akram Auto Electric (AAE) had the best rating in town and their staff and service proved why. I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday. Ameen, one of the managers, was extremely professional and respectful. The crew worked so quickly on my car and I was out before I knew it. Best of all, AAE also filled up my tire pressure and replaced my battery key free of charge because they saw both were low. Never has the Honda dealership ever went out of their way to provide above and beyond service like this. If anything, Honda would've charged $50 for the extra service. We have been taking all our family vehicles here for years this our first issue I won't be back and making sure our family and friends do not return for service. I towed my vehicle in that was having a hard time accelerating and switching gears three codes had popped up with a check engine light. I did stated for him to repair the throttle body stating it may fix issue I want sure. I let him know I could have vehicle part for a discounted rate and please pick it up under my name so I could it for that price. He declined and stated he could get it for the same price and would get it himself. Long story short he picked up the part and then charged me an extra 22$ he said was for his tax purposes and I do not get the part for the even 250$ as I was quoted so he over charged me on the part. 1. 2. He put the part in and called an said the issue was not fixed and please tow the vehicle out... he charged me 272$ for part and 145 for labor. Excessive and didn't even get the vehicle running or diagnose what problem could be. I asked is it possible I need transmission fluid? He declined and said i do not know what's wrong with this vehicle and please take it somewhere else I'm not comfortable trying to repair it. I called AAA and had it towed down the street to another repair shop who diagnosed vehicle in 30mins. They reviewed codes and first thing they did was notice the vehicle was low on transmission fluid ... added fluid and vehicle runs great again! I wasted 145$ on labor which you provided zero labor or service. The part you did add on took you 20mins to do and you called it a day! Didn't even try to fix or diagnose Horrible service never again! read more
