I never really go out to different nail salons since I've been going to the same place for 10+ years, but I had to get my nails done on a day my normal girl at my usual place was off as I'm going on vacation tomorrow. Erica was the lady who did my nails and I have to say im very impressed by the job she did! I've super particular about my manicures but she did a great job, I'm very happy with the turn out! A regular mani costs $10 which is decent for the area. What I also really like is they take credit cards (which is rare since I do know most salons are cash only), and they have a nice reward system on their iPads through your phone number. Since Erica did such a nice job I'll definitely be keeping this place in mind when I can't make it to my normal spot! read more

I've come to this nail salon 3 times now for dip powder manicures. They are amazing at them!!! I've gotten them done by a different person each time and all were great! I believe the owner/manager is Erica and she's super sweet and she's the one who did my last manicure. The cons are that there is a veryyy small selection of dip powder colors and some of the colors look too similar to each other. One time I went in for a light opaque off white color and all they had was a very light sparkly pink, which I got and it turned out super pretty so It's fine...then last time I came in for a pale blue color and they only had more of a Tiffany blue color which I got...and also came out super pretty haha! I want to get a yellow color next time but I already know they don't have that so I would have to go elsewhere. The salon itself does seem a bit older and run down which brings me to the reason I wrote this review in the first place...as I was sitting soaking my nails I saw a really small field mouse scurry from behind the pedicure chairs into a facial spa room...I freaked out and quietly told the assistant (who is very sweet by the way) & she chuckled nervously and let the owner know. The owner explained to me that they were having problems w a pipe or something recently so this is being taken care of and all that. I was in the middle of my manicure and they moved me closer to the front door and apologized immensely and gave me a discount. I don't know if I believe the story and it did make me very uncomfortable so I'm going to go elsewhere for my next manicure and maybe give it another shot later on and see if anything improves as I do enjoy this salon as a whole. (Granted they are located in front of a large area of woods and brush so idk maybe it just snuck in) read more

Really sad that this place has gone down the tubes. They got rid of their ipad points system. They also prioritize walk ins over people with appointments. Every time I have recently gone I feel rushed and not relaxed when getting pedicures. This was my second time and I left extremely happy. Last time I got just a manicure but this time I came in for a pedi. My friend and I had spent a few hours at the beach and then grabbed a beer - the only logical next step was a relaxing pedicure. We were greeted warmly, told to pick our colors, and, despite being walk ins, brought back really quickly. Lisa was very friendly and helpful. She got a kick out of my being ticklish. One foot is more ticklish than the other and each in its own place. Very comical. There are plenty of magazines and they had CNN on mute so I could indulge myself in the headlines but also just kind of let my mind wander. The massage is 20 minutes on top of everything else and it's absolutely delectable. Good choice of colors, lots of Essie including my favorite: Geranium. Definitely a great spot for a mani/pedi. I'll have to get waxed there some time. read more

I'm so disappointed in my experience there today. Granted, I was a walk-in, but I patiently waited my turn for 40 minutes. Was there for powder gel mani and regular pedi. Thought it was strange they took me for the mani first, but since I was in a rush I now didn't ask any questions. Lulu rushed through my powder gel - even though I specified this mani was VERY important to me because it was for my bridal shower. When she was "done" and started moving me to the pedi chair, she didn't finish and left all the glittery powder all over my hands and fingers. She said she would finish when drying. Strange... Then, I explained, I couldn't get the whole pedicure (even though I was obviously still going to pay for it), because I needed to get going so I would settle for just a shaping and polish change. She didn't EVEN BOTHER to put a liner in the pedicure tub, turn the water on... nothing. Mind you, I can't touch a bloody thing because my hands are still covered in glitter. 5 minutes later my "pedicure" is "done." And she just wipes my hands down with a rag. Now I needed to at least dry my toes a little, and I finally took a second to look at the finished product of the powder gel, and it was a disaster. My cuticles and nail beds were covered in gel glue-ish residue, that she swore would just rub off. She said she couldn't do anything and it was my fault my nails were too short. I was devastated... and continue to be devastated since I had to use a sharp tweezer to basically pull off my cuticles to get the glue/polish residue off. I would have much rather had a regular botched mani (and pointless pedi) than pay for powder to last for weeks looking like this. The nice boy Enoch at the front desk at least gave me both August spec prices at once, because clearly even he saw that the work was far below par. Save yourself the aggravation- especially if you are in a time crunch- or if you actually have expectations. read more

I came here for the first time right before my prom and Nicole was so accommodating for me; she scheduled me an appointment even though they were "very busy." I got manicure and pedicure, done by Erica and Isabel, respectively. Such sweet women! My mani is amazing; it's still so beautiful. So clean~ the pedi was a fantastic experience and Isabel really helped me relax haha I usually take a long time to be able to be comfortable but their customer service is fantastic! Their not walk in friendly, Besides from that this was the first store I ever went to with Asian's that doesn't use monomer for acrylic nails. They do powder which means they polish tips then dip your fingers with tips into powder. If you were a person that wanted to get long nails you can't because they're literally telling me that the powder won't support that and then if you wants to do UV it's $85. There reason for not doing acrylic powder because of the area and so I guess that's mean it's not black privilege store. Or because the area is fully of Asians, white and Indians. But black people work in the area. This is definitely has racist issues. And the owner with the English accent gossip way to much. read more

Finally found a nail salon i'm happy with! I work in the area and recently started going here for my powder gel manicures and pedicures. The prices are very fair, the place is clean, and the staff is extremely friendly. Only minor complaint is I wish they had more colors for powder gel but other than that I am very happy with this nail salon. read more

This place is amazing, I'll never go anywhere else! Lou Lou and Mary are both so sweet and talented. They are so clean here, they open up the unused sanitary tools in front of you and line the pedicure tubs in plastic. They take their time and are efficient with amazing customers service! If you want an amazing pedicure ask for Carmen, she took her time and made my toes look perfect! They're also very reasonably priced for the area. It's an average nail salon as far as how the manicures turn out but the business is run pretty well otherwise. I like their pedicures they use this gel stuff in the water that's kind of cool. They're running a special now for $35 spa pedicure and free manicure. Their manicures are alright. I've gotten powder gel there and I don't recommend doing it here but regular gel is decent. They're all super nice and the manager is funny and likes to heckle his customers a little but it's all in good fun. They also have a guy who does massages there and offers you a free massage during your service. read more

Angel Tips has gone through a fair amount of changes in management and employees lately. This review is based off as recent as last week. I called ahead to make an appointment to remove a gel manicure. Didn't think it'd be too arduous of a task. They assured me it'd be no problem and to come right in. Upon arriving, they followed standard protocol for removing gel polish and covered each nail in acetone and foil. For whatever reason, the nail technician felt this process needed to be rushed. She started filing down my finger nail beds, after I insisted that I didn't want them to be filed down too much because it'd make them weak. Then within 5 minutes she started removing the foil and scraping off the polish. After what she thought was done, she started filing them in the most bizarre concocted shape I've ever seen. At this point, the manager walked over and asked someone else to step in and file them properly. I had just gone hiking prior to and asked if they could give me a clean manicure no polish. Again, each step of the way I needed to remind them to clean under the nails, buff the nails, cut cuticles, etc. All the while, after a 30 minute back and forth - my nails still have remnants of gel polish on them and needed to be filed again by ME. It's ridiculous that they charge $15 for this service and just can't seem to get the basics right. Won't be seeing me through those doors again. No thanks. read more

I wish i saw the rating on this place before i went. I went 1 week ago and my nail has already chipped with powder gel, which isn't supposed to happen. They also only have like 5 powder gel colors, there's barely a variety to choose from, then one of the technicians cut my cuticle and i still have a scab there because the cut was that bad and lastly while I'm IN THE MIDDLE of my manicure he main guy tries to get me to get up so the technician can start someone else's nails. I never write reviews but I am VERY angry with the way Angel Tips treated me. I called this morning and made an appointment for a mani-pedi at 12:00 (noon) they said no problem and put me down. I show up at 12 and the guy in the front said "ohh sorry but you have to wait 30 minutes". I said "but I made an appointment" and he just shrugged his shoulders and said it happens!! How unprofessional!! If you book someone for an appointment then you should make sure to have someone available. I go on my 1 hour lunch break so I don't have time to waste. I came here for a manicure before I left for vacation. I'll give two stars because the owner and my manicurist were very sweet and nice. However, my manicurist was so rough when pushing back my cuticles that I had to tell her she was hurting me. She then would buff over my cuticles and much of my surrounding skin - instead of just focusing on the nails - which was also painful. Some of my nails were also filed unevenly. The worst part though is that two of my nails chipped just two days after the manicure. Then, within less than a week, all of my nails were chipped! My nail polish lasts longer when I paint my nails myself, so I definitely wasn't expecting this to happen after getting a professional manicure. Since I was away on a trip, I couldn't go back to the salon for them to fix it. Not wanting to keep my nails chipped, I had to remove all of the polish merely a week of getting the manicure (with my nails initially chipping after only two days of getting the manicure). I would've been better off doing my own nails for my trip. read more

I have been going here for a while now and never really has much of a problem with them until the last time I was there 3 weeks ago. I wanted a pedicure before a wedding and I took my boyfriend so he can get a buff manicure. Everything was going well until it came time to pay. The manicurist asked my boyfriend if I and I repeat, I wanted the top dry coat for $2 more. He apparently said yes, without asking me if I wanted it. He was going to pay for me but I wanted to pay for myself so when it came time to pay for me, the woman said $2 more and I was very confused. She told me that my boyfriend gave her permission to give me the dry coat when I never saw that communicated with the woman giving my pedicure. Now I wanted to give the pedicure a decent tip because I'm an annoyance with pedicures because my feet are so ticklish. I also had an eyebrow wax so I wanted to tip that woman as well, just so they know that I really appreciate their patience. But no, the woman would not let me get away with not paying the $2 for a service that I didn't even know I was getting. Yes, I know it's only $2 but to me it's the principle of the fact. read more
