OMG! I wish I would of looked up the reviews before spending my money here. The gentlemen who did my nails was rude and unfortunately we didn't understand each other so I was trying to be extra patient but he seemed to be struggling, when it was time to do my manicure he used the electric file and was about to paint my nails I had to request for him to get a bowl and actually give me a manicure the right way. it was the worst experience I've had at a nail salon, the nail tech filed my nails down and kept filing my cuticles to the point that they are in pain and raw. The nails are lumpy and she didn't even paint the front or the sides even though I asked her at least 3 times but no one speaks English or understands when you are voicing a complaint. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from Helen Before I even sat down I told Helen I wanted Sonic the hedgehog themed nails. She told me "ok". MID WORK she tells me "actually this is a lot of work. You sure you don't want stickers?" I said "ok if you have stickers of Sonic then that would be ok" she pulled the binder of stickers and NOT ONE was even close to what I'm paying for. If she couldn't do that for me IN THE FIRST PLACE and found me another tech. NOT TO MENTION her berating my choice in design. Telling me things along the lines of "simple better. Why don't you do something more normal like Christmas theme. You gonna pay so much money if you do draw" EXCUSE ME I am paying for a service, not a lecture. The fact that I CALLED AND VERIFIED THAT my choice of design could be achieved. I've been to THREE other locations and they told me from the get go that it couldn't be achieved. I went there a while ago and I was just getting an acrylic set. I'm not sure if they use name-brand monomer and polymer but the acrylic bead was very thick and felt heavy on my nail. When it went under the UV light to dry, it started burning and it got so bad to the point where I almost blacked out in the salon. Never go here if you want acrylics!! read more

I usually get my nails done here but someone treated me for my birthday for a gel pedicure. After getting a gel pedicure here I got an infection in 3 of toes, in which one had an abscess. My feet have been swollen from 2 days after getting pedicure and have become worse since then. I went to a podiatrist who had to remove parts of my toenails in order to drain the fluid from abscess and get the infection out. This has been a very painful experience and I will not be coming back. I've sent an email to HR and am waiting for a response. Be careful with these nail places. read more

Walked in on Saturday, with my stepdaughter, for mani/pedis. We waited a couple of minutes before 2 staff members came over and took us to the pedicure chairs. The 2 staff members assigned to us barely spoke English and relied on each to figure out what we were saying to them. The only thing they both could state clearly was, "You want gel mani/gel pedi?" Even though we told them that we did not, the continued to ask repeatedly. Once it was done, and IU was finished drying, I walked to the register to pay. Although, I was the only one standing there, they didn't me up. Instead, they reached for tickets that women who came up after me were holding. I was not given a ticket. Once those women were rung up, one of the staff members rang me up, without a ticket. The price was fair for basic service. However, this salon is too large, with too many clients, to provide the TLC that I look for when I'm doing self-care. I won't be returning. read more

I had a decent one-hour foot massage experience here on my birthday for $65.00. It was comfortable and I gave a $15 tip. For a shopping mall, the overall vibe also wasn't bad. The reason I'm giving it four rather than five stars is the hot towel used to rub the cream off my feet after the massage had red nail polish stains all over it. I wasn't sure if that was blood. Even if they were red nail polish stains, that was unprofessional and pretty darn gross. I wouldn't return here as a result. Management should know better. You may want to request a clean (unstained) towel at the end of the foot massage for a better experience. read more

Christine did my powder manicure. She did it in record time! She did a good job, though I've had it done more meticulously by others. Hopefully it lasts 3 weeks! Definitely my favorite nail salon, been going there since 2019. I like hannahand jin thu( not sure). The guys do a really good job in terms of neatness and detail. They do the best for pedicures too in terms of massages. They don't have a huge collection for Essie or opi brands, but I have gotten regular manicure and pedicures, and their gel manicure lasts for definitely 2 weeks with no problems. They also now have an Indian lady to do waxing and threading which is great. I get my upper lip done here. it's a one stop shop for all beauty needs, prices are pretty much the same as any other place. Definitely recommend this place. If you go right when they open then you don't need to worry about having an appointment, they just take walk in customers. Also they are super wheelchair friendly, as I have been there several times with my wheelchair. Only downside is they stand next to you and talk in their languages, so if you are going to get your nails done as downtime for yourself and relax then I suggest bringing headphones or something to keep yourself distracted, but the staff is super nice and not rude. One time when I went one of my nails got messed up when it was drying, and the guy immediately wanted to get the polish and fix it on the spot for me, this is rare, because other salons make a big deal and act like you made it an inconvenience on their part, even though you are paying for the service. read more

The store itself is pretty big and clean conveniently located inside Broadway Mall in Hicksville. I came in here wanting to get my nails done as I was about to give birth and i wanted to get a little pampering done. Anyway onto the service: $22 for pedicure $25 for gel manicure I don't remember the techs name that did my pedicure. But its now 3 weeks later and I am not content w it because the technician cut the corner of my freaken big toe. AND IT HAS YET TO HEAL!!! How is it that your whole existence is to do nails and then you cut someone? She was trying to make small talk w me. Which i get. However one should pay attention to their work! I asked her not to massage my foot. But then she also decided to skip the scrub too. Ughs. My cut hurts as I keep applying neosporin and bandage it hoping it would heal. But NOPE. First and LAST time here. I made a 7pm reservation and I had the older Vietnamese lady. I can already tell she was very grumpy and not happy when I told her that I had to do Gel powder cos she offered to do regular gel on me. I had to pre-paid so why would you change my option? And she didn't even cut my nails until I told her to. I'm paying $45 for a powder gel and she didn't even have the audacity to do the basic? To cut my nails or cuticles until I asked her to?! And Then she didn't even file them until the end when the powder gels and everything was on Now after two days, my polish has already chipped and some are broke in half. And we all know powder gels is supposed to last at least two weeks if the nail salon is great. Please see attached photos. Do not go to this place it is very Dirty and over priced. It was my second time and I now have a fungus. If I don't notice the green mold on my nail bed while the tech was filing off the gel color would have just covered it with more gel. I asked her three times to treat the fungus and she did not have any anti fungal products in the entire salon. She kept on insisting to cover it up with more gel and told me not to worry it will just grow out. She filed my nail down but didn't sanitize any of the equipment when she was done she just put it back in her draw. I spoke to the manager and she tried to blame the fungus on me and said how my hands must always be in water, I replied NO it's because of your tech didn't put the extension on correct and water got under it. I needed to get a pedicure so I decided to come here because my mom have been coming to this place since it was nails 2000 on the other side of the mall. I have had problems in the past and yet I still keep coming back . Today in particular a woman was asked to do my pedicure and she looked at me and back at the man and told him no and made the hand gesture as well and walked off. I was in disbelief, hurt and angry. Horrible experience. This place truly wants to destroy your nails. First off this lady soaked my nails in acetone for like 15 minutes going on and off with filing each time in between. How do you have employees doing acrylic nails at your salon with absolutely no skill set & improper training? This nail tech attached a tip & then threw on sculpting gel bc she was too lazy to work with proper acrylic powder. I didn't ask for a sculpted set. (Which this wasn't the proper way to apply sculpted nails anyway.) I asked for ACRYLICS. There's no curvature to the nails, it dips right at the center and then goes flat. ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS. Also, If they're incapable of doing a design, I prefer HONESTY. Then I would choose to AT LEAST get a solid color VS. having a botched design & charged for something that looks nothing close to the wish pic I asked for. The nail tech I got was Malisa & I'm completely disappointed in her work. This establishment needs to put some more effort on proper nail training. (Side note: I am NOT cheap with my nails. I have whole heartedly paid over $100 for acrylics DONE THE RIGHT WAY no questions asked but the fact that they charged me $90 for the service I received, is beyond me.) read more

These workers really need to learn to respect their customers and be straight up on what they can and can't do. I ask one of the guys there names James if he knew how to do a certain design I got off Pinterest and he starts to yes me to death, so I didn't want to question his skills. The process begins and he's applying the nails and all the other stuff and I seem pretty content. Right up until he gets to the painting.. I was not expecting the outcome and when I said something about how unhappy I was he kept saying "what's wrong with it , very beautiful" and then shouted across the room in his language and had another worker come over and they began to laugh. I go to the front and ask for someone to please fix my nails and give me a new person because he didn't seem to see the issue and the woman tells me there is nothing wrong but I can go have a seat. They kindly do me the favor of having someone else come and work on what was wrong AND I wish I just had them take them off. Both workers were rude, careless, and rushed. I'm surprised this salon has such bad reviews. Although I only get acrylics done here. Anyway... this is my go-to Salon for acrylics! I live in the city, but grew up on LI so when I'm home I come to Victoria's to get my nails done. Every nail tech I've ever had is great. They definitely specialize in acrylics and gel polish (they have SO many colors), and I find their prices to be reasonable. Getting my nails filled this time around, plus fixing 1 that was broken, and the gel polish came to $35. That's a pretty good price AND they came out great :) read more

I've been getting my nails done at Victoria's nails religiously lately since I finally have found a great tech there named David, he's friendly, takes his time, is very good and he gets the gel polish on smoothly. He's great! BUT this last time I went David was busy and it was going to be a long wait. So being impatient I went with another lady for my regular fill in with gel polish. Big mistake, initially I loved the nails they looked great. Natural looking just like I wanted and then 3 days go by and 6 of my nails have chipped. The polish is almost coming off on all of them. My cuticles are also in extreme pain! Since they looked good at first I gave her a really great tip which makes me even more upset. Other than that David is great! Been here many times, prices are okay, and i haven't had a bad experience yet, one time I did my nails and it all came off, so I came back the next day and they re did it, without giving me a hard time, and of course didn't charge me again. I really wish they would stick to English tho, it's just rude to be talking right in front of you in another language, it's not like all of them don't speak English, so is not too much to ask, I speak more then one language and I don't do that it's rude. When my dad come visit me (he only speaks Portuguese) my only options is to speak Portuguese to him, but if around us is all Americans that don't speak Portuguese, I translate back and forth so everybody is in.
