I said I would never go back to this place, but I was desperate today so I came to get my powder soaked off. They soaked my nails for 25 mins and then the guy quickly comes over, takes the foil off, files each nail for 2 seconds and says, "ok, $5"! My nails are a mess, I have cotton ball fuzz stuck to my fingers, my fingers are white from the alcohol. This place is messy and dirty and I don't recommend it. read more

Went there for first time and definitely the last for UV fill in. Girl (sitting at 2nd seat) VERY rough, grabbing hands, cut me twice (and it STILL hurts after 4 days!!!) not too friendly. Not sure what was used for the gel (or maybe it was the UV light that they used), but every finger burned SEVERELY in the light. I've had my nails done at a lot of places. Never like this. I would have to say this was the worst. Shame, because the location is very convenient for me. Don't go!! read more

Unfortunately I have to leave this review. I did my eyebrows there because it is right next to my laundromat. The owner Sam did it but I didn't understand what was going on. No gloves, no mask, bad breath and I wasn't happy with the result because I asked to be shaped. And he just treated me in a hurry! I wasn't in a hurry, I just wanted a good result. I wasn't treat properly (saying please and thank you is a must) but still was charged for the terrible work. Even tho I told him I'm having a photo-shot tomorrow. Hopefully my make up artist will try to fix the eyebrows. Don't recommend for that and won't be back. read more

One of my first reviews on Yelp, and unfortunately not a good one. I came here today to get short tips and powder. I left with my short stub nails and bleeding fingers. I was so upset because I explained to them what I wanted in the beginning. I told her that the work she did was not what I wanted, she basically said it was my fault that I did not tell her and she was causing a scene in front of other women getting their nails done. She starts saying next time next time you can do that, we cant fix anything I am done and starts massaging my arm so rough. I told her to please get off me and walked to the front of the room because I did not want to raise my Voice as she's telling me ,the customer, I am wrong. As she is doing another woman's nails I hear her talking to her about me and shaking her head. Them both staring at me.I was fuming to say the least. I will never be going back here again. The disrespect and the way they treat customers should not be tolerated by anyone. Its funny because I am the type of person that can walk out with bad nails but never be upset (it is just nails), but this experience left me outraged because of both horrible nail work and on top of that being treated like dirt. Got a pedicure before going on vacation and it was almost all peeled off by day 2. Also got power gel the same day and the woman did a terrible job--nails were filed into a horrendous shape--she was filing so much she was down to my skin. These ppl have NO idea what they are doing. I heard great things about this place and was excited to try it however despite using tub liners for pedicures, they do not clean their tools well enough. Within a few days of leaving there my toe near the cuticle became inflamed and sore. Pus later drained out of my toe. Im extremely disappointed and angry. read more

I received a french gel manicure from here, and sadly I need to leave this review. While the staff were pleasant and welcoming, I have never had such a terrible manicure. Less than a week later and it is chipping, uneven and sloppy work. Absolutely do not recommend this establishment - not worth the money. read more

Today I went to this salon. I had a 5:30 appt. I wasn't sat in the chair until 6:15. When they sat me the woman came over with a wet cold rag and placed my feet on it. Then she filled the tub with cold water and placed my feet in it. Pulled my feet out dried them and without even asking cut my toe nails extremely short. Did not ask me what type of pedicure I wanted. 5 minutes later she was putting the color on. When I say I was sat at 6:15 and in my car fuming leaving with they worst pedicure I've ever gotten at 6:27. I called them. After I got home and calmed down. I told the man who answered the phone I will never ever go back there again and I wont. And it my suggestion you don't either. read more

I have been coming here every 2 weeks for about 8 months . I used my discovery card 50% of the times I went and then he all of a sudden refused to allow me to use it. I tried this place numerous times and just wasn't impressed. Yes they make appt and honor them but the gel polish just would not last! I stopped going. I dont know what the problem was but just didn't work out for me and when I mentioned it they sort of gave me a look like I was wrong or making things up. No way gel plush chips off 3 days later! Nice people, but sadly the gentlemen who did my nails wasn't experienced enough. He tried. The furniture is old, torn & worn, very messy and appears dirty. Good massage. Think health department should visit all nail salons periodically for health code & cleanliness for up keep. All salons should be required to use a liner in the pedicure tub for each individual customer. Grading like in restaurants would be good. This is how germs and infections are transferred from person to person. read more

I went in for my first manicure after getting an okay pedicure here with a friend that introduced me to the place. NEVER GOING BACK. For one, I had to tell her on multiple nails which ones to file so that they would all look even after she was "done" filing. Secondly when I was pointing to my nail she smacked my hand away, needless to say how unprofessional THAT IS. Third, the color I chose, I asked her is there was a color and glitter and she said yes, she puts it on one coat and says it'll look better with two, I say okay because I figured she knew the color. After three coats you can still see my nail through because there is no color. Honestly the pedicure was nice because they put a hot towel behind your back, haven't been to many places that do that. read more

I had been going there for a few years. I continued going even with the wait, WITH an appt. They did a good job so I figured it evened out. I was there last Saturday to get a fill in, a pedicure and my eyebrows waxed. I'm typically there a while, it's my time to be pampered and relax so I tend to close my eyes while I'm getting my nails done. This particular day I caught my nail Tech recording me with her phone, she had it propped up against the black wicker basket behind her, the gentleman that answers the phones was seated to her right. When I caught her she nervously took the phone down put it in her drawer and asked me twice "You tired you tired??" Once she was done I paid and left I didn't get my eyebrows done. They made me feel very uncomfortable so I called and spoke with the gentleman that answers the phone and he denied that the nail Tech recorded me. Even though I told him I saw her with my own eyes and saw my reflection in her phone. I spent a pretty penny in that salon over the years and they will NEVER ever see me again. You don't secretly record your customers. Terribly unprofessional. read more

Came here several times because a friend wanted to go here, Some of the girls are better than others, but overall it is overpriced for the quality. If you get a regular pedicure ( no spa pedicure), they do the very bare minimum, the calluses are left on your feet, they only buff the bottom of your feet to smooth calluses, when most people's problem is the rough skin on the sides of the feet and on the the heel. For the most part those areas are completely ignored. The polish seems to be thinned out and chips easily. My friends nails completely broke and peeled away to where she can't even have them manicured for several weeks. So it's either something that they are thinning the nail polish out with, or it is something in the solution they have you dip your fingers in during a manicure. Not sure but either way someone's nails should not peel and break off like that. I will be going back to Sonata in Hicksville, my original salon that I love and have always been happy with, fair prices, less than this place and excellent results, consistently. read more
