Get there they DO NOT have it ready so I wait about 45 minutes for her to grab a box that is sitting there just for her to tell me ohhh you have to make an appointment with the vet to get tick medication. My husband went in to get flea medication for our cats. He was told that we would need to bring all of the cats in to get flea medication.. because we have five cats. We cannot afford to take them all at one time. He explained this to her and ask if she could recommend anything for the fleas. This woman recommended revolution plus. After doing a little research, I found out you have to have a prescription from a veterinarian to get this medication.. I am not sure if this woman was unaware of this, I was just trying to be a smart ass. Either way, we will find another veterinarian for our animals. Since this vet is a bit away from my house. I have used them several times sine 1996. Every time I've went there they've been more than professional and did a great job. I have no idea why the ratings are so low except for maybe people only write them if they have a complaint I know a lot of people have used them for decades and love them. I'm pretty critical of veterinarians in general and I think this veterinarian clinic is one of the best ones we have in the area for sure!!! Their prices are expensive, but still in the reasonable range for what other people are charging. It seems every time I find a good vet that checks all the boxes they retire or sell their practice. Worst experience of my life. Very rude and cold hearted people. Especially the old Hispanic lady that was in the front. She had no remorse and was not even trying to help. My dog was having aggressive seizures and the emergency vet line told me to take her to angels and I rushed over there. When I walked in very upset telling them my dog is seizing and is gonna die I need help they asked me if I had been there before when I told them no they refused to help her and made me drive her 20 mins away to an emergency clinic across town by the time we got there her heart stopped and her temperature was so high from the seizures,they couldn't bring her back read more

Saw Dr Schwartz today and we couldn't have asked for a better experience! We travel for work and happened to be in the area when our Sailor started to feel bad. We did have a long wait and it was very busy but it seemed that everyone was working very hard and doing their best. The staff were all very friendly. We have taken all of our pets here for shots and to be fixed. They are absolutely amazing weather your pet is scared or slightly aggressive when scared. They never once muzzled my Dobie even though I knew he was going to be scared and potentially bite and I awared them if this. Have to wait 3 hours to be seen. My baby was dying from leptospirosis and we didn't know. I took her in to the vet and she was misdiagnosed. I ended up taking her to emergency a couple of days later because she wasn't getting better. The vets are okay and they are nice. But she almost died due to a misdiagnosis. We still payed a 200 dollar vet bill and it did absolutely nothing for her. I still had to pay 1 K in vet bills AFTER she was in kidney failure from the untreated infection and was about to die. Luckily, the new vet trsted her for lepto and started treatment right away. My baby is alive now but.. not thanks to this clinic. It's an okay clinic. I am sorry to leave a negative review but, my fur child almost died. read more

I have been using this place for years & I really don't understand what all the fuss is about the wait time. I walked in at 11:15 & I was in a room by 11:30 & done by 11:45. I've scheduled my next appt. & am already back in the car at 11:55. Sounds more like people need to learn what patience is. All staff is very nice & VERY informative. Today was my second time to spend half a day waiting to see a Vet for shots and to have my Bella's ears checked so 2weeks ago (maybe 3 weeks) I phoned for an appointment they told me 12:30 on the 15th of August. No problem. I get there about 12:20 and sign in...@1:30 they had not even acknowledged my presence so I went to see what happened. They didn't have my appointment on their list so I would have to wait and get in whenever they could work me in? Never going back there again! Not that impressed with my experience of waiting in a tiny cramped room with everyone coming in and being ushered in well past my appointment time. read more

I am not big on reviews because everyone's experiences and interpretations are different. I am especially not a person to write bad or less than excellent reviews because, like I said opinions differ. So, I am only sharing my experience. I have four dogs, three ankle biters and a Mastiff mix and all four are patients at Angel Vet clinic. Harley, my 1 1/2 year old mastiff mix has been suffering from a limp on and off her whole life but recently her limp has been sustained and progressive. I had taken her to Angel's on more than one occasion to get her front legs looked at. They acted like it was nothing to worry about, so I didn't. Not until it came back and didn't go away. So, I made an appointment and brought her in for the third time. This time they took x-rays which they claimed showed nothing and prescribed her pain medicine and sent us home. No follow ups, no hypothesis, no explanations. I am not even sure if the vet looked at Harley or the X-Rays. I know and have spoken with the Husband and wife duo who are the vets in the office. Neither one of them went over the x-rays with me. I assume it was a vet tech who went over the x-rays. I had heard through word of mouth that A to Z veterinary clinic in Midland Texas was great, so I requested a copy of the X-rays and made an appointment for a second opinion on the X-rays. Dr Todia at A to Z actually took some time with Harley and thoroughly examined the X-rays taken from Angels. She even went as far as taking Harley outside to watch her walk and run. Her initial theory was OCD of the joints, but further testing would be required. Two more appointments later OCD was confirmed. She said if Harley was diagnosed earlier it may not have progressed to what it is today. Surgery can fix it but because Dr. Todia is in depth and dedicated, she is looking into the possibility of Platelet rich plasma treatments for Harleys joints. She thinks it's possible to treat the condition without the massive expense of surgery. I am disappointed in Angel Vet Clinic for not doing more, for not taking the time to try to diagnose and treat Harley. Instead they ran with what they saw on the x-rays and decided to treat the symptoms of what was unknown to them rather than find the problem and fix that. I think I may have found a new vet clinic and its not Angels. read more

Very nice staff and Vets here. VERY CHAOTIC! Even with an appointment expect it to take a long time. Their offices are quite outdated but they make up for it by being willing to see your pet and offer their care. I tried taking my dog to Grandview vet but they turned me away saying they cannot accept more patients! Angel Vet might have a filing system from the 70's but they will get the job done for your loved fluffy one! read more

I don't EVER take time to write reviews but this needs to be seen. Angel is killing my dog. she has been to them 3 times in the last week and she got worse after EVERY. SINGLE. VISIT. she was diagnosed with mastitis friday (11/11/22) by angel. they said it was slight and we caught it early so she should be fine. sent us home with some antibiotics and anti inflammatory. she got worse over the weekend so we took her back to angel on monday (11/14/22). on monday they said she now had severe mastitis. (so it went from slight to severe in 3 days while she was taking the medication they prescribed her??) they poked a hole in her and didn't clean it, didn't wrap it. nothing. no pain medicine. they let me walk out with her dripping blood and pus and an opened wound that THEY put. Tuesday (11/15/22) we had to rush my dog to west texas emergency vet where she is now fighting for her life. West texas emergency vet has her staying overnight and is doing everything they can to keep her stable. these people do NOT care about your animals and just want your money. I'm down THOUSANDS and now possibly even my dog. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. We didn't have an appointment but they accept walk ins before 5 pm. Our wait was about 50mins which is better than most vets who dont take walk ins. Staff/nurses were very nice and knowledgeable. Angel Vet helped our puppy Shades when he was diagnosed with Parvo. He has been there for 4 days and these techs and doctors are the best. Thank you so much for putting up with our Shades. I know he was a hard to handle and being aggressive towards techs. But on a good note Shades LOVED the Dr. Laura. I took my 2 month old puppy for his first set of shots and to get a dewormer. They gave him his shots and a banana liquid dewormer & after 5 days he still had worms they usually say it works with in 48 hours but it's been 5 days and I still see worms alive in his poop. I called them & they said for me to go in to get a stronger medication I went back they gave me a pill called SENTINEL its for heart worms but it kills tape worms also which are the type of worms he has. I got the pill which cost 8$ and the label said expiration date was 11/09 I called them & told me and they said sorry come back and we will give you another one and when went the lady that gave me it was like oh it still would of worked but I'll get you a newer one. I don't recommend this vet, they hardly talk to you & explain stuff to you!!! The dewormer they gave me the first time didn't work hopefully this time the pill they gave me does work. & hope the shots they gave me are actually good & not expired!!! read more

Disorganized, unprofessional techs in the front. Took my dog in to get shots, Vet told a girl in the front to make me an appt in 3 weeks. They gave me a date and time. I was there 3 weeks later early for my appt and a hefty rude Mexican girl that's always wearing blue scrubs tells me that I was mistaken, my appt was for the following day at an earlier time. They weren't even busy as they usually are, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and returned the next day at the time she told me. Then, another lady tells me I have no appt and haven't had one in 3 weeks... I told her what happened and she said she'd get me in. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting, I left. They didn't call me to go back for another 15 minutes or so. I'll be finding a new veterinarian. We were bringing all our animals here, but honestly they're always packed in the waiting room, the techs and front desk girls are always running around disorganized and it's always a couple hour ordeal. No parking of busy intersection. I don't know how they stay so busy, but it's Odessa. People that live here learn to deal and get used to non-existent customer service. Like, we, as the consumer owe all these businesses something. I expect it from a fast food place, not a veterinary clinic. read more

Saw Dr. Andrew Schwarz on Friday, my Mini Bull terrier was very sick and drinking excessive water, I explained my main concern that my dog has not gone to the bathroom and was very worried because he was not eating at all. Dr.Schwarz let me know that it was just dehydration and that we had nothing to worry about and that his kidneys and stomach was perfectly fine. I again voiced my concern if it was anything with his kidneys or blockage and he said if problems persisted to come back on Monday and gave my dog some antibotics. When we got home my dog took a turn for the worst, we thought maybe he was tired due to the medication, he was trying to drink even more water and would not do anything else. the next morning he woke up and collapsed with his head in the bowl trying to drink water, we could not wait for Monday and took him to the emergency clinic. The Vet at the clinic told me he had something stuck in his stomach and intestines and that the dog's kidneys were in fact in very critical condition. We left him there for the Doctor to give him IV and try and rehydrate him, during surgery the Doctor called and said he had a cob lodged in his intestines and that it started to decay and he was put to sleep. my family is devastated, Angel vet was trying to play games with my dog, by saying to bring him back so they can charge more rather than actually finding the problem and saving my dog. If we had taken him to the emergency clinic he might even still be alive and had a successful surgery before he got worse. Angel vet charged us $300 and didn't do much to help my dog so that we would come back again and spend more money and time that could of helped to save him. We didn't just lose a dog, he was more than that, he was a family member. Angel vet just dose not care about saving lives, just charging a bunch of money and wasting precious time. read more

Just had the very professional staff and Vets save our aging dog. She was deathly ill, but Dr Becky immediately diagnosed her condition and started treatment. Three days later we have our baby home and healing. Yes, it is a hectic place, and we were on hold when we first called, but it is a very busy Clinic because they are so good at what they do. read more

I had read previous reviews and figured I could wait 30 minutes to get in for a well priced, good vet appointment. No. I waited an hour past when my appointment was scheduled, just to be told it would "be at least another half hour". There isn't a point in scheduling an appointment here, because you're going to wait an exorbitant amount of time either way. Absolutely terrible service. If you love your animal don't come here. The staff is mostly rude, they have odd operating rules and the vets are NOT gentle with pets. I had a dog die from parvo a few weeks after her parvo vaccination because she didn't take the vaccination well and the gentleman who gave her the shot did nothing for recommending a solution for her reaction. He just said "oh well it happens sometimes" I came to find out it was a gene my dog carried in her breed that caused her to have negative reactions to vaccinations. It was too late after she DIED. A few months later my rescue heeler needed blood work and they wouldn't let me go to the back with her after I repeatedly stated she was special needs. She had an anxiety attack, anal glanded and peed herself in the hallway. They muzzled her and she returned in a shock. Before this experience, she was beginning to trust people and recover from her prior abuse and after my dog was placed on anxiety medication and refuses to let people near her without peeing or barking. Horrible horrible place. And this is with more than one animal. We won't be back. Ever. read more

This is probably the worst vet I've been to. A couple of nights ago my dog was attacked by two dogs. We had to wait 3 hours to be seen which was fine since my dog was not in any unstable condition, just his leg and the side of his neck was hurt but not extremely bad. My baby was just fine until he got into the doctors office in the room where he had started to have a seizure. The nurses told us he was fine without even coming to take a look at him to see. We told the doctors and nurses everything that was wrong with our baby and they only acknowledged what they wanted to, which was his leg. His leg was very swollen so we thought maybe he had torn a muscle but they didn't exam him any for extra wounds We made it clear that our baby was attacked by other dogs because he was the only one on a chain and he ended up stuck while one dog was on his face and the other was on his leg. The nurses response was "if you neuter them they won't fight" they did not treat my dog in any way they just gave us iodine sponges and a day later my dog now has an abscess on his neck. We can't even call today because they are closed. Highly unprofessional and I don't recommend you take your animal there for treatment of wounds. read more

She had a c section on Thursday. On Friday she had ate 1/4 of her intestines. They took her puppies and did not not let them nurse. When my husband picked them up I got my mama dog and 2 live puppies and one dead puppy. They are unprofessional and negligent. I pray the mama and er other 2 puppies live. I should have walked away with her the day I stoped at Angle Vet Clinic. They told me my Dog possibly had PARVO, put me in an isolated area . I Waited and Waited and Waited! An hour and a half goes by , Still no help ! No test Nothing! I asked how much longer and mentioned I had to go back to work, the Lady said "I cannot tell you how long , you just have to wait "! My Dog possible has parvo and NOONE could not do the simple 2 second swab test? No Tech? I had to leave after 2 hours with no help, drive 40 mins to Andrews Vet and my dog got tested immediately AND Did NOT have PARVO!!! How could you have me worry for 2 hours after telling me my dog possibly has parvo ( a danagerous virus that could of possibly killed her) ??? HORRIBLE!!! Would give 0 stars if I could. Brought my cat in because he was sick, and was acting unusual. After explaining this to them, they took him for some tests and told me everything was fine and reassured he would be okay after I asked. About a week later I come home, and he's on his death bed (not so fine after all.) I had a gut feeling something was wrong and they told me he had a fatal disease. I left him there so they could assist him, and I received a call a few hours later that he had passed. My cat was unable to have a fighting chance because of a misdiagnosis. This appears to be a common theme for them now that I see their reviews. They just downplay everything for some quick cash. The veterinarian didn't know the gender of my cat, front desk ladies are rude and annoying, every time I called about my animal they kept calling him a dog so they didn't even know what patient they had. Not to mention I had to wait a long time for them to return my stuff after he passed because they lost it. Staff has no idea what they're doing. When confronted the veterinarian was very rude and not compassionate. NEVER GO HERE. Their incompetence will cost you your pet. It's the little details that are aggravating I tried to change the number on file to a family members because I was going to be away from my phone, and they continued to call me instead of the number I provided. Not a single good experience here. I never review, and I'm usually pretty patient if I feel everything needed was done. However, I wish someone would have told me this... so now I tell you instead. Advocate for yourself when you have a gut feeling and never take your animals here. They deserve better care than they can provide. As for the staff here please pay more attention to details a loss may not be huge to you but for the families of the pets it is everything. Our pets are worth more than a quick buck. My cat was a beautiful soul, and I'll forever regret the decision to come here. Also y'all are weird for staring at us crying while we said our goodbyes to his body. The lady stood at the door for a solid minute and watched in silence then she stepped in to say her condolences. We do not care, we don't know you. My basset hound had developed abscesses over Christmas weekend. Angel Vet agreed to see her as a walk-in. We did have a couple of hours to wait, but I was put at ease after Dr. Battershell examined my dog. She gave me all the option and was very helpful in making the decision about treatment. The waiting area is clean, doesn't smell bad at all and they have a separate cat waiting room! The doctor did a thorough, quick exam in a clean exam room and listened to all our concerns and was just overall great. Great place to take your sick animals. As long as you don't mind a long wait. I took my puppy to the clinic for blood work because she wasn't eating or drinking and Dr. Schwarz recommended the night before at the vet ER. He was there and looked after my Cadence. He was amazing! Talked me through everything including cost. The staff was flustered and busy due to high volume of patients but worth the wait.
