All the staff at the office were extremely helpful and they were very thorough when it came to explaining the costs and all my insurance questions. Jessica called me to inform me not to eat the night before the surgery and helped with all the paperwork. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rosenberg.

He quoted me one price which sounded OK, and he did the root canal. Before leaving the office, his assistant handed me a piece of paper with instructions, but as she handed them to me, she told me not to follow them because "these instructions are wrong"! Sounds ridiculous, right? Then, she gave me verbal instructions. Well, I went home and had horrible pain. I returned to Dr Rosenberg a few times, and nothing much was done. I finally went back to my dentist and told her that in addition to the horrible pain, the bill Dr Rosenberg sent me was quite different from the initial charge I was quoted for the procedure. She asked to see the bill, and she was apparently very surprised upon looking at it. She asked me if I paid that bill. I told her it was paid in full. She asked to make a copy of the bill. Eventually, I realized that my dentist was getting a cut of the payment I gave to Dr Rosenberg (a "kick-back"), and Dr Rosenberg decided to cheat my dentist by showing her a lower-cost, inaccurate invoice! I was not happy about that... Anyway, the pain continued for a few days. I eventually travelled out of town one weekend to let a good dentist-friend of mine take a look at my mouth. He was not impressed by the work done by Dr Rosenberg and suggested I go back to Dr Rosenberg and have him re-do the procedure. he also called Dr Rosenberg and spoke to him about his findings. I returned to Dr Rosenberg (this was about a month after the procedure was done), and he agreed to redo the procedure. After the re-do, I finally got some relief. The pain subsided. However, Dr Rosenberg sent me an additional invoice for the re-do procedure. The second invoice was for several thousand dollars. All sorts of things about that invoice were terrible. There were some items on the invoice were just inaccurate. For example, one of the invoices had a 'date of service' for a day that I was out of town at a location that was thousands of miles away! I was able to prove that there was no way Dr Rosenberg touched me on that date. He sent another bill out, which also had falsified information. At the end of the day, I had to get in touch with my corporation's Human Resources Department and they got our company's insurance people involved and we created a 'case' against Dr Rosenberg. They determined that I owed Dr Rosenberg $76. I never heard from Dr Rosenberg again, and I also never returned to my dentist since she referred me to Dr Rosenberg in an effort to get a "kick-back". So the moral here is, keep away from Dr Steven Rosenberg.

My husband called to confirm and Ayoubi said he didn't put it in the book but remembered speaking to him and rescheduled me for a later time in the day. Here's the thing, if a person isn't competent enough to do something that simple then how am I suppose to feel comfortable that the person is competent enough to sterilize the implements properly? I don't remember the extraction itself at all as I underwent IV sedation. After surgery, I experienced no pain, just mild discomfort and little swelling. I did have prolonged bleeding (lasting about 2 1/2 days after the surgery) and nausea caused by the bleeding. Both Saturday and Sunday, Dr. Marshall promptly returned by calls. He talked me through remedies for the bleeding and generally soothed the stress caused by the symptoms. I would recommend Dr. Marshall. He is a careful surgeon who takes care to make sure extractions cause minimal trauma to the site and so minimal pain and swelling! Furthermore, his bedside manner post-surgery is excellent and thoughtful.

Dr Levine replaced a crown I had charged me $1000 out of pocket on top of insurance. About three weeks after the visit, I got a cist on my gums in the exact location of the crown. I went back to the dentist who took xrays and he could not find the cause of the infection. So he tells me that the 12 year old root canal must be the casue even though his xrays didn't show the infection up in the area where the root was workied on. So since he could not understand why I had an infection. He said I need to visit a specialist, well after some very painful surgery I was told the issue was the replacement crown was not set correctly and is what caused the infection. Upon speaking with the specialist it became very clear that the dentist sent me to him blaming the old root canal so he could wipe his hands with the issue. I had to pay another $600 out of pocket to clean up the shady work the dentist did. I tried calling and discussing this with Levine but he totally ignored my call mush like ignoring the fact he HIS WORK caused the infection. It's like the open table of the health world. I've used this more then 10 times and I've never had an issue like I've had today. I show up to my appt that has been confirmed on their end at 12:45 pm. I show up at 12:20. I hand over my insurance card and immediately I'm told that I'm not going to be seen because they sent me to another doctor. This is where the problem started. The manager is so rude and nasty about it. I've never been to any kind of office and the manager rolls her necks and eyes while speaking to a patient. It was very simple to call the insurance and get a couple of numbers. She told me to call my insurance company which I did 3 times and I was told my info in fact has already been sent over. They swore they couldn't find me in the system! This entire exchange was over a reference number. This has been the most pleasant, if one can use the word in the context of a dental procedure, one could experience. From the moment you walk in the office you are made to feel welcome. Dr Kim's thorough and thoughful analyses pre procedure was most welcome and comforting. What else can I add, other that I called him " velvet hands " when he was done. Kudos as well to Frank at the front desk, for for his courteous and professional expertise at the billing stage.

The doctor gave me an extremely condescending speech about why we need to pull my teeth out, with a very slow and unnecessary analogy of "stuffing one more person into his office even though it was already crowded" (for the record, I was 24 at the time. I think I had a pretty decent idea of why I needed my teeth pulled before Dr. Kim imparted his inifinte wisdom on me). He then tried to tell me I should have all 4 wisdom teeth out, even though my dentist and another orthodontist had previously told me the top 2 will probably NEVER have to come out and it was definitely not necessary for the immediate future. He also went on to tell me that he would not perform the surgery without general anesthesia even though I told him I was uncomfortable with this and only wanted local anesthesia. Conveniently, all of these stipulations made my out-of-pocket estimate come up to over $800 (AFTER burning through my dental insurance limit for the entire year). Needless to say, I did NOT book my surgery with him. I was so scarred by this experience, I put my surgery off for over a year until my dentist told me I REALLY had to get it done. I told him I had had a really unpleasant experience with Dr. Kim and I was skeptical of the next surgeon he recommended. What I loved about my visit here was that the first time I went, I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen (fill paper work out etc.) You don't often meet receptionists that are sweet and professional over the phone & in person. Good job ladies. The dentist's assistant was so friendly. She made me forget that I was at the dentist. The place is clean & organized. I appreciated that they gave me a 2nd (more thorough) x-ray after I let them know I had discomfort on the right side of my mouth. It turns out it's time to remove the wisdom teeth (which they don't do here- you'll get a referral) The reason for removing 1 star is that the cleaning was way too short. I felt like I had just sat down and as much as I would like to leave the dentist quick, I also appreciate feeling like I have had a good cleaning.But I'm going to stick to this spot for now!
