Great specialty pizzas...pasta is delicious. And fresh salads. This is our go to pizza place for many years now.

This place is solid. Great pizza. Love the crust and the sauce. They are consistently good. I really like the chicken pesto gourmet pizza.

Very slow delivery (almost 1.5 hours). The pizza is ok - doughy and uneven and small for a large pizza.

Solid DC pizza choice. Almost NY-style, with thin dough and great sauce-cheese ratio. Delivery is usually pretty decent and makes good time.

I've never actually had the food at Capo Deli, but I've been here plenty of times at night, and…read moreit's consistently a great time. On the weekends, there's a speakeasy in the back, which a lot of people don't expect since it looks like just a sandwich shop from the outside. That alone makes it a fun spot to pull up to if you're looking for something a little different. The vibe really starts picking up around 11 p.m. into midnight, so this is more of a late-night move than an early one. Mikey, the owner, who also works the door, is super friendly and always welcoming. The rest of the staff is cool as well, which honestly makes a big difference when it comes to the overall experience. Every time I've come here, the energy has been right and I've ended up having a good night. If you're looking for a low-key but lively late-night spot Caoo Deli is definitely worth checking out.

Both were done on Italian bread with sesame seeds (love). Ingredients were fresh and well filled. The tuna salad had mayo, celery, onions, lettuce and tomatoes. It had cheese which I don't care for but I was so hungry I didn't mind it. Was curious about the speakeasy doorway but too tired to venture in, next time! There were a lot of delivery drivers picking up orders so it took a while for me to place my order. Wish they'd have a separate order area apart from pickup. I wanted to eat there but it was way too chaotic with security, delivery drivers and people coming in and out of speakeasy door. We took the sandwiches to our car ate them while listening to music and enjoying the hell outta em samiches!!!

The avocado toast topped with a perfectly poached egg topped with Japanese black sesame seeds is my go-to order, and the sandwiches are consistently good. Their cocktails are excellent, and the bar side makes a great venue for private parties or larger gatherings. I am apparently in the miniscule minority, but I find the drip coffee a bit too dark and somehow slightly burnt for my taste. Fortunately, they make an outstanding Dirty London Fog and a wonderful London Fog Chai Latte, either of which I'd happily order instead. All manner of alternative "milks" are available as are a pretty decent selection of local beers in their cooler if you are grabbing take out. Be prepared for a wait on weekends--this is one of Takoma Park's most popular brunch destinations. Like many cafés these days, it's a favorite of laptop-wielding remote workers, so tables can be at a premium. In my experience, though, solo diners are often gracious about moving to the communal table when they notice [or more likely are asked polietly if they wouldn't mind moving] a larger group waiting. It's just one more example of the friendly neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
