The dough is more of a soft textured bread. Not super crips which I expected for a thin base. I liked it a lot. Chew was soft and it felt "easy" if that makes sense The staff was sweet. My family adored the original Ledo's. At least the franchises allow guests to have the same yummy sauce and cheese. I wanted to redeem my birthday pizza, which has to be ordered through the app. We ordered and sat in the dining room since it was nearly empty. The intention was to eat inside & be happy with a $9.99 discounted pizza or a free $8.99 small pizza. Larger tastes better! The person taking orders didn't understand what we were doing so we felt unwelcome for a bit. The cashier explained the details. If you order from the app and decide to sit in the dining room, communicate with the person taking orders. I miss the old Ledo days but we still enjoy the pizza from time to time. I grew up eating Ledo pizza and I love it. This is my favorite Ledo's location. My favorite topping is pepperoni, but the other toppings are always good too. In my opinion, you should always order your pizza "well done" and with a side of ranch dressing to dip it in. Trust me, this is the way. I enjoy their tomato sauce very much, so I steer clear of the pizzas with other types of sauce bases. Their wings are also very good- top notch. The pandemic ordering and pickup procedures are very streamlined and efficient. You don't even have to get out of your car - they come to you. The staff at this location is also extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The original MD location and now a chain of over 90+ restaurants, have been around since the early 1950's. Just thinking about the little flavorful, cheesy squares brings tears to my eyes while writing this review. It is a pure indulging, guilty pleasure and joy that will make anyone's cheat day worth the splurge. From the plethora of toppings piled high on top of the mouth-watering tangy-sweet sauce, oozing with a blend of mozzarella/provolone cheese......to the flaky, buttery French pastry dough-like crusts that's like munching on a soft cronut with crispy edges....its insatiable and will have you coming back for more! Love this place! I'm picky about my pizza, like unnecessarily picky. A friend came into town demanding we go to this place and I've been going ever since. The crust is crunchy but never burnt. I love the square shape. They have the right sauce to dough ratio. The pepperoni and sausage have the right hint of spice. And the customer service is AWESOME! I'll quantify with two examples, one pre-COVID and one post COVID. Pre-COVID - Called late Saturday when I was just outside of Baltimore. I suddenly needed, yes needed, a slice of pizza when I got home. I called about 30mins before closing to order. They said can you get here in 15 mins because we will close soon? I said it'll definitely be like 30 minutes but I'm promise I'm coming. Now they could have said, sorry ma'am but not Georgia Ave Ledos. They said they had to clean up after they, close so come as soon as I can. No lie, this is the only place I've ordered pizza since. COVID times- This place switched on a dime to curbside pickup. I order while I'm home usually by phone but you can order online too and I roll up. What I really appreciate is they come to the passenger side door for the transaction (come on with the social distancing!!). All the staff come to the car quickly when you arrive. A great by-product of the curbside approach, is that on a Friday night you feel like you're at the let out after the club. You know what I mean the parking lot is packed, people are in their cars talking, and waiting for the pizzas (Am I really citing this as a plus? Yes these COVID times are a drag). I mean personally it's the most people I see these days and it's kinda cool. This was my second visit to a Ledo's in six weeks after a very long hiatus. I ventured to DC this time as this location is probably only two miles away from me and has a large parking lot. It was deja vu when I entered the restaurant. I had been here before, only it was a Pizza Hut way back in the day like Jimena M. mentioned. It looks exactly the same minus the salad bar plus a fresh coat of paint. The booths have the high backs and there are no tables with wobbly legs. Our server greeted us promptly and got our orders right, but that was all we saw of her. No refills of water or soda until the very end of our meal. The background music was a bit too loud, plus they had a large screen TV on, but the funny thing was that it was aimed at the counter where you pay for take out, not towards the dining area. Also, there is a barrier wall across the middle of the restaurant to divide the booths. So even if the TV was for patrons, only one half of the room could see it. Pizzas were good, we all agreed. Somehow though it wasn't as exciting as six weeks ago. I guess the thrill of a reunited relationship is over already. read more

Conveniently located in Brightwood, near the old Walter Reed medical site, right next to the McDonalds, on Georgia Avenue. Watch out for traffic cameras and inattentive pedestrians. The inside is pretty sparse and bland, but there is plenty of seats for dining in and the restaurant is managed by friendly staff. Unfortunately, when I called to order, they had no clue as to what their own website advertised as a deal: $14.99 for a medium pizza, toasted ravioli, and a Pepsi 2-liter bottle. Though prominently and boldly displayed on their website, deal basically saves you $2.50, the equivalent of a free 2-liter bottle (so not much of a deal at all). read more

And since it was a school night and work day, we decided to support a local business in the neighborhood. Since my son loves pizza, we chose Ledo's. We arrived close to 8 pm which was a little later than we anticipated but the owner was more than accommodating. While the food seems to be pretty consistent, the customer service totally destroys what would have otherwise been a nice family meal. From what I could tell all the servers where too busy talking amongst themselves to pay any attention to any of the tables. I had to ask for: silverware, refills, to go boxes, the check, napkins, and for the table to be cleaned off. If we decide to throw away $48 here it would be calling the order in and picking it up. Food was ok. Mediocre, not the best and norther worst. Service of waitstaff: hands down some of the worst service I've ever received, I only tipped $5 and that was really pushing it. Our server was horrible, he never said thank you, barely made eye contact and acted as if we were intruding upon his social scene by coming into eat. Total jerk. I have literally eaten here for about two months straight. NO one can compete with the grilled chicken salads. I have to be honest, I'm not a super fan of their pizzas but they offer cauliflower crust therefore the pizza is doable. The location on Irving Street gives me bad vibes and just an unpleasant atmosphere. Which I'm alot closer to that location but the GA Ave location they all are simply wonderful and sweet. I love this Ledo Pizza! We are regulars at this location and the pizza is great. I love a crispy thin crust pizza and their wings are amazing. The pizza sauce is sweet but I think that is what sets them a part from other pizza places. We have had some excellent service with one gentlemen (he wears glasses). He is one of the best waiters I've ever had. But we have also had some bad experiences with other waiters at this location. It's hit or miss. He stopped to ask a question, I headed to the counter to pay. He was serviced. I was not. I just stood there. Waiting. Terrible customer service. This is especially unfortunate because the pizza is only mediocre - excellent customer service would've given me something positive to say.
