The recommendations didn't feel right, so I sought a second opinion from my longtime dentist. After a thorough exam, I was told none of those procedures were necessary and that my teeth and gums were in excellent health. What began as a routine visit became an experience that left me questioning whether treatment recommendations were being driven by patient care or something else.
