My child did not give consent. He never asked me -- the parent -- and he proceeded with the extraction anyway. Immediately afterward, he repeatedly told my child that he "didn't extract the tooth," even though the tooth was clearly sitting on the tray in front of us. Watching my child try to reconcile what they were being told with what they could physically see was heartbreaking. We spent years here with Dr. Lena, who was exceptional and always communicated clearly. But after she left, everything changed. This was not discussed, not planned, not medically urgent, and absolutely not authorized. No parent should have to worry about whether their child's bodily autonomy and consent will be respected in a medical setting. This experience shattered our trust, and I hope the practice takes serious steps to ensure nothing like this happens to another family.

The last visit that I was here there was a young new dentist who tweaked my treatment plan to her liking, even shaving my teeth and adjusting some other things. Today I came in and there's new staff here. I happened to just ask what my current balance is (knowing it was $150) this lady tells me $450 and demands that it's paid now. I explained that what I show is different based on a ledger was sent to me in May. She then said I can show you a ledger and I said I can show you one as well....she goes to speak with the insurance/billing person and comes back and said you're correct, you don't owe anything today, I replied I know, she batted her eyes and said I'm just letting you know. I responded and I was letting you know as well upfront that I didn't owe anything this entire interaction was pointless. -sidebar.....as I sit in the chair the staff is in the X-ray room playing Rock Paper Scissors. My appointment was at 8:30. I've been here since 8:10, the new dentist has come to the reception area to make coffee lol and I'm sitting here smh. Now I'm in a chair, mind you I was the first person here. 4 more patients are called back and immediately worked on (by the techs and the dentist goes to the chair next to me and greets the patient) I get up, go to the front to let them know that I was the first person here for an 8:30 appointment and I'm not going to sit here and allow others to be treated before me. The dentist stops in his steps from starting on the patient and comes over, greets me and says so you're getting started on Invisalign today......no sir I've been wearing Invisalign for over a year!!! So then he looks at my chart and the notes from the previous visit and I can tell he was trying to make the best of the situation but at this point I was very unhappy. Fast forward to today. 7/26 (this review was started over a week ago). My son had an appointment scheduled for last week. On Sunday night they text us and said all appointments for the following day have been canceled. So on Monday I told my son (18 year old) to call to reschedule. He called and they rescheduled him for mid August......no, that's not going to work because he's moving to NYC in August for college. I asked them to reschedule him for something sooner. Which puts us to today. It's now 1:21 and my son has been waiting to be seen for his 12:00 appointment. So at 12:30 I told him to ask how much longer it would be. After he asked they seated him in a chair. At this time, he's still waiting to be seen....which all he needed to do was pick up his darn trays. At this point I'm ready to speak with management or corporate. So if you're reading this please call me. We pay out of pocket for both treatment plans and expect better services than this. If we wanted to feel like we were at The county clinic or any other Medicaid office we would have taken our business there. I would give a zero if possible. I would not recommend this office at all. I made a new patient…read moreappointment online to go in for a general assessment and consult about having my temporary bridge replaced with the permanent one. My previous dentist no longer takes my insurance so that is why I was changing offices. Upon check in the receptionist was not that friendly and was not even interested in the fact that I had a secondary dental insurance. Yes I know my appointment was on a Saturday and most insurances are closed, but thought she could have it to follow up on the next business day. Once the assistant took me back he seemed like he had no idea why I was there. Apparently they thought I was just coming for a second opinion for the bridge. Got that straight or so I thought. We then proceeded to go do X-rays and he kept going out of the room. Then the front desk person came back asking me questions as to why I was there. She again said the online appointment said for second opinion. Finally was seen by the dentist who seemed very friendly and helpful. He gave me his assessment of how we would proceed, but would need to speak with the lab to clarify the best option for me. Then upon checking out the front desk person stated they would need to contact my insurance the following Monday, which was Memorial Day and I knew insurance would be closed. So I left and was told the office would contact me about my further treatment once they spoke with my insurance (they needed to see if this would be considered new or if I needed prior authorization since another dentist had started the bridge work). I knew I would wait a few days to give them time to call my insurance. I waited until later that week and tried to call the office to see what they found out from my insurance. I did not reach a person as the message said they were all busy, but would return my call. We are now at June 10th and I still have NOT heard one word from them. I guess they do not need my business so I will seek treatment elsewhere. I felt like they thought I was bothering them by being there. Do not go there if you want to be treated as a person. Once again the dentist was nice, but the staff lacked any compassion. I would not go here unless this was the only place in the world to go to. I work as a receptionist myself and I try very hard to make each patient feel welcome and appreciated.

I asked if there was somewhere I could put my umbrella because there wasn't anything in place, but immediately upon asking, she walks out with a plastic tub for me to put it in. Also, the check-in process was very simple. I had to fill out some paperwork since it was my first time there, but unless I was a walk-in, they just ask if I was the person for a reservation. I don't even have to touch a paper to sign in. Then, I met with the hygienist for my cleaning. She quickly got my x-rays and updated me on the state of my teeth. She then proceeded with giving me my cleaning, which she did very thoroughly. She made light conversation, which was nice, considering I could only respond with "uh''s and "ah"s. She made me feel very comfortable and at-home during the process. Lastly, I met with the dentist, Dr. Jung. She performed the oral cancer screening and asked me about my dental history/status. I actually have a special issue with my jaw, and she knew about the details of my condition. I've been to other dentists that weren't very well informed in the area, so it was very refreshing to hear that she knew about it. She wanted to keep updated on it. She's very knowledgeable. Upon leaving, I received a goodie bag of dental items, and I was very impressed. I typically receive no name generic brand item, but this came filled decked out with quality dental items. He did have a bit longer of a wait than I did, but the weather wasn't great that day and the roads weren't clear. Crystal was the receptionist for both of us and we both noted how cheerful and nice she was as we entered and exited. It was extremely easy to book an appointment here, even as soon as same or next day and I loved that ease.
