We wrapped up our mini-getaway with breakfast at Angelina's Diner--and what a perfect ending it was! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with cheerful hellos right from the heart of the kitchen, instantly making you feel like part of the family. The dining room is clean and modern, filled with natural light, comfortably cool on a warm day, and playing fun retro tunes that added to the cozy vibe. Our server, Gabby, was an absolute gem--so kind and welcoming it felt like we were visiting relatives instead of dining out. We both ordered the Belgian Waffle Combo, and Gabby enthusiastically promised we wouldn't be disappointed. She wasn't kidding--these were hands-down the best waffles I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, cloud-soft on the inside--truly waffle perfection. Every waffle I eat from now on will be compared to that waffle at Angelina's! The bacon was smoky and flavorful, the eggs were light and fluffy, and everything tasted freshly made. I sipped on a refreshing iced coffee while my husband enjoyed a glass of orange juice, and we both left full and happy. I'm honestly jealous of the folks who live in Ormond Beach and can eat here anytime they want. What a delightful experience! We'll absolutely be back the next time we're in town.

Angelina's Diner is a modern take on the old school diners from back in the day. This sleek, modern style diner greets you with good music, welcoming staff, and good food. Our waitress, Morgon, was polite and made sure we had all we needed. The food was plentiful and delicious. It was adequately priced for the portions received. As seen in the photos, we ordered the turkey dinner and a ribeye philly sandwich plus two drinks for about $39 after tax.

    Chicken tenders

So I have been here twice a few months apart. The first time was here for a family gathering around the holidays and had a not great experience but it's busy and things happen so I decided to give them another try recently and I did a to go order for chicken tenders and the loaded fries. The employee I spoke with was super nice and did a great job but the food was a no from me again. The inside is a little bland to me but I guess we can look past it as the second time I had done a to go order. The chicken tenders are cooked odd and the breading is like soft and not crunchy and it just isn't the best chicken I've had. The loaded fries were missing jalepenos even though I did confirm when ordering that I did in fact want them. It's nothing special I hated the cheese they had used for it. The bacon was good and the ranch dipping was great. I probably won't be giving this place another try.

Had lunch with my parents and wife on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was very well lit and clean. The server was nice. The cheese fries really hit the spot for me. The bacon lovers blt was delicious over all i would go back. There are not a lot of places to eat on beachside in Daytona and this is among the better ones.

New place. Only open for 5 months in previous IHOP location. Redid the whole place. Tell you what.... when it was IHOP I never saw the parking lot as full. Good selection on the menu I had one of "eggceteras" with potatoes and meat. Mine was sausage and hashbrowns with cheese. Candyce had build your omelette and the eggs were super fluffy. Service was good. Speed of the kitchen was very good. We'll be back. Like the name. Named after the owners 10 yr old daughter.

The service was impeccable and the food was wonderful. My friend and I got there around 3 pm, very clean restaurant and the food is the Bombe! I will be back, it's was a very pleasant experience.

    Angelina's Omelette with bacon, sausage.

Omelette was stuffed, eggs cooked well, a bit too many mushrooms for my taste. Hash browns had a crispy top but they tasted like potatoes needed more cooking. Rye toast was good, it seemed homemade. Grits were ok. The service was fast, but toast came several minutes later. This place is a remodel I-HOP nice and clean, but a bit tight in the seating.

Stopped in for breakfast and was greeted by a beautifully decorated diner! Apparently this a"was an old IHOP and Sept 2024 it was bought and redecorated. Our breakfast was delicious-mine a light, fluffy, sweet waffle with 2eggs, bacon...$12.25. Husband got 2eggs, hash browns and rye bread $8.50; where they got ya was coffee-$3.25. No where does it say cost of coffee either. It was good coffee so .......?!?

An amazing little place to get breakfast with family. The service is great, service is very attentive to our needs. They keep the coffee cup full! The food is wonderful . Very clean new modern look. Will make this a Friday morning breakfast at place for us!

We came her with several church members for lunch bunch. They changed the old IHOP into a bright restaurant with better seating. Service was fast and friendly from a server who used to work at the old IHOP. Not a freezing as IHOP used to be so that was nice. The food was delicious. We all had breakfast items for lunch. Omelet vs sandwiches seamed to be the theme. Plenty of food and a good serving to take home for many. We will definitely remember this for breakfast.

    Rodeo Burger

This newish restaurant is in the old IHOP building - now nicely remodeled, in front of the old Osceola Elementary school in Ormond Beach off of A1A. The food is amazing. My friend and I both ordered the Rodeo burger sans jalapeño peppers and they arrived on a platter with a Bowie knife sticking out of the top! We deconstructed them to eat them and take home more than half of the serving! The pork butt is delicious, along with the bacon, BBQ sauce, and onion ring on the sandwich. The burger itself was cooked to perfection, flavorful and juicy. She had fries and I had upgraded to onion rings and we split both. Teresa, our server, was so lovely and patient - we hadn't seen each other in a while and had some catching up to do. She explained everything and was perfectly attentive. My friend always orders a take-away for her hubby (so she doesn't have to cook dinner), and it arrived when we were just ready to leave - perfect timing! I'll be going back, but you need to really have an appetite and a cooler for leftover containers!!

That is exactly what we were looking - something local owned and preferably family owned. When you walk in, you're made to feel like Family, and that is excellent! The food wow the portions are humongous. I have to start with that. You definitely will not leave here hungry! The corn beef was fresh. I wished it had more onion and some bell pepper, but it was still great. I sampled the chicken salad and that was out of this world and the hamburger looked fantastic. As we were leaving, they had just put out muffins and cinnamon rolls. What a tremendous tease! Here it is Passover so I cannot have it and pistachio muffins are my favorite and they looked phenomenal. I was so tempted to break Passover so early for the looks of that muffin, but I knew it was a test that I had to pass. That was not easy! Being a big man, he lifted a table in to position and placed the appropriate number of chairs around. It only got better from there. Menus from this young man. A young woman, who looked about thirty showed up and I introduced myself. "I'm Kate", she responded. Drinks? Three Diet Cokes, two waters and a beer (a local IPA from Ormond Garage). She promptly remembered all our names and we got down to looking over the menu. When she came back, we ordered from all over the menu. schnitzel sandwich, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask), chicken fingers, turkey wrap, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask) and mine was the corned beef Benedict known as "The Irish". The food was on the table in a timely fashion. All except the two "Tilt Burgers" (you can ask now). The young man who seated us should have relieved the slight waitress and brought these to the table. The burgers looked too heavy to be lifted by such a slight young woman. Ham, cheese, BLT, large burger patty and an egg. All the meals were excellent, the service great and the fun as advertised. Kate allowed as how she five kids and two grandkids. She didn't look her age. To find that last fact out, you'll have to go. Five stars and more for a truly Florida experience, on the beaten track, but maybe not. They needed some Tabasco.
