First restaurant when we arrived at Daytona Beach. So we were pretty hungry. From the images posted online, it's pretty much it. Cute-retro generational owned diner. Simple but tasty. Even my picky eater daughter love their plain chicken wings and 8 pieces wasn't enough. Don't expect a perfect service but they will get things right away if something is missing. Very nice little diner that just opened. We went there for breakfast. I had eggs Benedict with grits and the wife had. A Jr French toast with grits. It was very good. The service was as well. Very friendly and helpful. This place is in the Castaways condo on the beach. They have inside seating and a patio where dogs are allowed. Nice view too. Imagine walking into a restaurant, hungry and ready to order, and being told you can't eat there -- not because you don't have a reservation, not because the kitchen is closed -- but because you have a service dog. That's exactly what happened to me here. My dog is quiet, calm, and trained to do her job. We've been in restaurants all over without a single issue. But the waitress told me, "Sorry, the owner doesn't allow service animals." She even added, "This happened to someone else the other day." So this isn't a mistake. This is an owner choosing to turn away people with disabilities, over and over again. I left frustrated, and honestly stunned that in 2025, this is still how some businesses operate. If you care about kindness, or just following basic decency, skip this place. Good food will never make up for bad character. read more

I really really wanted to like this place. It's cute, it's by the beach. How can they possibly screw up breakfast??? Reviews said service is slow but it's really -really -really slow. Like 100 year old tortoise slow. Waited almost 1/2 hour to order then waited over an hour for eggs. I understand they were short a cook- not their fault but c'mon. It's eggs and potatoes. When I got my food my corned beef hash was barely cooked!!! my potatoes were cold, and my eggs were very runny. At least make it right after waiting nearly 2 hours. Maybe I expected a little more? Maybe I'm just silly like that. On a positive note staff is friendly albeit apologetic and the music and coffee was good Bottom line. Passed by some tables of yummy looking food. That was it. No one ever came to the table. I made eye contact t with a few staff members, smiled, and waited. Didn't work. So, I stood up, walked in front of the staff and went to the door. Then the car. Then I left. I'm not sure where the disconnect was. I am not a local. I was a party of one. Apparently the cook decided to leave for an hour which was tooo bad for us. Visiting from out of town and I can say this is by far the worst place I have been to. I had a cranberry pineapple mimosa and hubby had a bud light. Once we ordered lunch we got it 10-15 minutes later. The food was fresh and hot off the grill. Hubby enjoyed the breakfast special which was eggs, bacon, and biscuits with gravy. They were out of eggs Benedict which they only serve on weekends. Someone came to check on us once asking how our food was and dropped off a check and walked away faster than we could answer. Biscuits were perfectly cooked, not dry at all. Our server mentioned they were training a new cook so two of our four meals arrived a few minutes after the first two, but it wasn't an issue at all. $72 for 2 omelettes, 2 kids pancakes and 4 fountain drinks. They definitely price hiked their menus for spring break giving they taped over original pricing and hand wrote new prices. Food was not good. Wait staff were very friendly but the lady running the front counter was rude. Stayed in Daytona for a couple nights and wanted to try a local spot for breakfast. The next morning we ate at IHOP. $34 dollars for a family of 4 and better quality food. Save your money and skip this place. I believe in supporting local businesses but this place was a let down mainly because of the prices for subpar food. read more

Good variety of food on the menu. We ordered two simple sandwiches- grilled cheese and a toasted turkey and cheese sandwich. One side of the turkey sandwich was toasted, but the bread was cold when it was served. The grilled cheese sandwich had one slide of cheese on each portion of the double-decker sandwich, so there was a lot of the sandwich with no cheese.
