    Reduction if you pay cash
    Rick P.

This is the first time at jenisas diner. Been there before with predecessor place. Jenisas improved alot. Great service from the start. Order the gyro sandwich with onion rings Candyce got the French dip. Both sandwiches were loaded and piping hot. This is pretty good considering the place was busy and kitchen was keeping up. I was impressed. I like the reduction on the bill if you use cash. Definitely will be back

Service and food was great. Place was very clean and we received our food pretty quickly. For a diner there was a good selection of food options. I actually prefer this place to Brunch, First Watch and Peach Valley. I will definitely be back

    Beef patty melt

The wife and I stopped here for lunch while traveling up to Georgia. We were seated immediately and the with staff was very friendly and took our orders right away. I ordered the beef patty melt and it arrived very quickly and was cooked just right with grilled onions. Everything was a very reasonable price.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!! This place hasn't been open long but it is fantastic! We have been wanting to try it and popped in for a late Saturday breakfast. It was busy but we were seated right away. Paola our server was very friendly, professional and attentive. ALL the servers (and Jenisa the owner) look out for EVERY table's needs - very impressive. Hubs had the meat lover's omelet with whole wheat toast and hash browns. As opposed to many places, the omelet had plenty of meat (ham, bacon, and sausage) in every bite, the toast was perfectly buttered, and he even ate some of the hash browns which he usually doesn't like (I took 1/2 before he could say no). I had two blueberry pancakes - SO light and fluffy and airy and FULL of juicy blueberries - possibly the best pancakes I've ever had in a restaurant!! I asked for very crispy bacon and it was perfectly cooked. And yes, the hash browns I stole from hubby were delicious! Can't wait to return and try several other things on the menu for both breakfast and lunch (eying the Macedonian breakfast platter, the Nutella waffle, and a gyro sandwich for the future!) Jenisa, the owner, made a point to stop by our table and others to be sure everything was ok and is very friendly and gracious.

Huge place, lots of seatings. Friendly server, can't recall her name. Had the Blueberry pancake with Bacon, they use fresh Blueberries and lots of them. My granddaughter had the Chicken and waffles, she said that the waffles were fluffy and great as well as for the chicken which were huge. Can't wait to go back and try something different.

2 Stars I hate…read moregiving anyone a two-star review, especially for breakfast--my favorite meal of the day--but unfortunately, this one just missed the mark for us. The biggest issue was the quality of the food. If you're going to charge around $15 for a breakfast, put a good-quality sausage patty on the grill. It doesn't take much to make a flavorful sausage gravy from scratch either, but this gravy tasted like it came straight from a bag or can and had almost no flavor. The biscuits themselves were actually pretty good, but pouring margarine over the top completely changed the taste. The sausage patties weren't very good and seemed like they'd been left on the grill too long. The fried potatoes were decent, and so was the sourdough toast. The staff was nice and working hard--they were extremely busy. There were a lot of people in line, so clearly plenty of people enjoy the breakfast here, and the place itself has an interesting atmosphere. The price didn't help. $4 for a Sprite is overkill. We had one breakfast with an egg, sausage, toast and home fries, one waffle, half an order of biscuits and gravy, and drinks, and the bill was over $40. At that price point, I simply expect better-quality breakfast ingredients. This is just our experience and opinion. The staff was friendly, and considering how busy they were, I give them credit for that. Maybe we'll give it another shot next year, but this time around, the quality just didn't match the price.

Typically, I'm someone who automatically goes for their famous chicken and waffles, but this time around I wanted to switch things up and try something completely different. I opted for the Meat Lovers Scramble Bowl, and made a quick substitution: I swapped out the standard hollandaise sauce for their sausage gravy. It was the absolute right move! The bowl was packed with so much incredible flavor and was super filling. Since I was dining alone, I grabbed a seat at the bar. The staff here was incredibly nice and attentive--more than one person stopped by throughout my meal just to ensure I was taken care of and didn't need a single thing. If you are looking for a fantastic, hearty, home-cooked meal in Daytona, I would definitely recommend checking this place out. I won't wait so long to return next time!

That is exactly what we were looking - something local owned and preferably family owned. When you walk in, you're made to feel like Family, and that is excellent! The food wow the portions are humongous. I have to start with that. You definitely will not leave here hungry! The corn beef was fresh. I wished it had more onion and some bell pepper, but it was still great. I sampled the chicken salad and that was out of this world and the hamburger looked fantastic. As we were leaving, they had just put out muffins and cinnamon rolls. What a tremendous tease! Here it is Passover so I cannot have it and pistachio muffins are my favorite and they looked phenomenal. I was so tempted to break Passover so early for the looks of that muffin, but I knew it was a test that I had to pass. That was not easy! This was definitely worth the drive and the value for the dollar! Next time I am in Daytona, I will be visiting again and Katie bar the door if there are no pistachio muffins, ha ha ha they were even warm!

Being a big man, he lifted a table in to position and placed the appropriate number of chairs around. It only got better from there. Menus from this young man. A young woman, who looked about thirty showed up and I introduced myself. "I'm Kate", she responded. Drinks? Three Diet Cokes, two waters and a beer (a local IPA from Ormond Garage). She promptly remembered all our names and we got down to looking over the menu. When she came back, we ordered from all over the menu. schnitzel sandwich, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask), chicken fingers, turkey wrap, "Tilt Burger" (don't ask) and mine was the corned beef Benedict known as "The Irish". The young man who seated us should have relieved the slight waitress and brought these to the table. The burgers looked too heavy to be lifted by such a slight young woman. Ham, cheese, BLT, large burger patty and an egg. All the meals were excellent, the service great and the fun as advertised. Kate allowed as how she five kids and two grandkids.
