Well early lunch for us today! We ordered for pickup and decide to get 8" hot meatball with Parmesan cheese and sauce, 8" Italian Sausage with Parmesan cheese, peppers and sauce, 12" Original with everything and oil, 12" Bologna and American Cheese with lettuce & mayonnaise. The meats were all fresh, lettuce was very crispy and cold, the rolls were super soft and fresh & fluffy. The hot grinders were very fresh and hot the sauce was delicious and there was an excellent amount of Parmesan cheese involved. Definitely will order from again love this local hometown grinder and submarine shop. Give it a try they will make your sandwich however you want it if you ask for it. read more

Just got the WORST Sub I ever had!!!! I ordered an Italian sub "DRY" which I thought it meant "no oil". The reason I get the sub dry is because by the time I get it home, I don't want the bread to get soggy. To my surprise, when I got home and opened up the sub, all that was on it was bologna, salami & cheese. There were NO TOMATOES, NO LETTUCE, NO ONIONS...............NOTHING ELSE. I wanna tell you that this sub was SO DRY I had all I could do to swallow the first bite. Apparently if you order a dry sub you get nothing that has any moisture in it whatsoever. IT WAS AWEFUL!!!!! 1. The prices in store are almost double of what it shows online. When I went to pick up the lunches for my co-workers and myself they said the prices changed because the owners changed. They should either update their online menu price or remove the online menu all together. 2. When I ordered the food over the phone I asked for extra ketchup packets and when I got back to the office there was no ketchup packets. 3. I was here Tuesday 7/21 for lunchtime. We got 3 sandwiches, there were two young boys working there who did not seem like they wanted to be there at all. I was willing to give this place a chance anyway because I heard it was good. My buffalo chicken sandwich was good once I got home and added ranch because they barely put any on. My real issue was that the other sandwich we got, it was all vegetables and the boy told us the grilled mushrooms would be an extra charge of $2.50. After getting charged the extra money and getting home we realized there were no mushrooms. The boy working confirmed putting mushrooms on the sandwich more than once and then charged us for it even though there were no mushrooms, I am disappointed. I would be happy to give this place another shot if there are different employees behind the counter. read more

I hate to leave a subpar review in these times but the wait was really very long. No one greeted us for several minutes, and despite being the only customers in the shop, it took 20 min for a half-sized $7 roast beef sandwich and a $2 bag of chips. It seems that you absolutely should call ahead your order and not walk in. They seemed to prioritize these. read more

The subs were just about as close that we could have found to childhood sub shop local to us no longer available. The place was super clean and the lady behind the counter was super nice! Angelina's is a local "Mom and Pop" grinder stop for many residing in the Pittsfield area, and after my first visit the other day I can certainly see why! The specialize in submarine sandwiches or "grinders" as they call them here in the East. Some hot, some cold, all delicious. They serve breakfast in the mornings, though I cannot vouch for how good it is, if we had been in the area we would have wanted to try them out for sure. Really, this place is a dive. They don't even have ice for their drinks! The food will most certainly ring up the wrong price. The chips on the shelf might be expired, haha. But the subs, wow! I've never seen a hot grinder so huge, or so smoking with ingredients and big pieces of juicy steak! I wondered how my Husband was going to eat it, it was so huge. He ended up taking a full half of it home, and that half resembled a whole foot long at Subway. Generosity was the name of the game, and that is a good thing, because this place isn't cheap despite their homely appearance. Two subs plus chips and drinks ran us back nearly $20. Still, no complaints. I think the pictures say it all, so please check them out! You'll see Hubby's monster steak grinder along with my son's 4'' (huge!) pastrami and cheese. Both looked incredible. Elm Street Shop. Good if you like a veggie grinder. I ordered Turkey and ham grinder. There was one tissue paper thin piece of Turkey and one slice of ham. Could not even tell there was any meat! It was bread and veggies. Don't waste your money. read more

While spending a day in the Berkshires, I was looking for lunch when I happened to find Angelina's Submarine Shops. The sub shop appears to have been located inside an old bank, as they still have the drive thru teller window and a night deposit door. When I entered inside, I saw a full menu which features both breakfast and lunch/dinner subs. I opted for the day's special, which was a veal parmesan sub (it's a treat for me to have veal), which was very tasty and made promptly. I'll look into stopping again when my travels take me through Pittsfield. read more

Their lettuce tasted like lemon pledge - you could smell it without even tasting it, I made several family members smell/taste it and everyone agreed. It was absolutely inedible. I hope it was actual lemon juice and not lemon cleaning product. It was also discolored with a brown tinge. I scraped all of the lettuce off of my sandwich but the taste lingered and I was afraid it was chemicals. Multiple times at this location the staff is obnoxious and have rude attitudes towards their patrons. It is always dark and dinghy inside perhaps because they refuse to keep lights on or replace lightbulbs. Sadly restaurant is not a clean environment and the display cases where they keep food is dirty and look like they haven't been cleaned in months. To locals it feels as though they don't care and serve what taste like old food so we avoid it. I'm surprised it still remains open as I'm sure it would not pass a health inspections as of 5/1/17. With all due respect, hopefully the owners of this franchise will see this review and finally take action to clean up the place. As for the condition and quality of food right now, If I could give this establishment zero stars I would. read more

I went in to buy a grinder today. I was standing in line because it was lunch time and within 2 minutes I was so hot and the perspiration was coming down my face. You need to get yourself a new air conditioner that works , also you should be ashamed of yourself that you don'tthink enough of your employees working over a hot griddle on such a hot day. If I didn't need to get this grinder I would have left.
