This was the worst sub I've ever had. I wouldn't feed this to my dog!!!

Just got the WORST Sub I ever had!!!! I ordered an Italian sub "DRY" which I thought it meant "no oil". The reason I get the sub dry is because by the time I get it home, I don't want the bread to get soggy. To my surprise, when I got home and opened up the sub, all that was on it was bologna, salami & cheese. There were NO TOMATOES, NO LETTUCE, NO ONIONS...............NOTHING ELSE. I wanna tell you that this sub was SO DRY I had all I could do to swallow the first bite. Apparently if you order a dry sub you get nothing that has any moisture in it whatsoever. IT WAS AWEFUL!!!!! Just look at these photos......even the meat was wrapping itself around the bread. Sometimes people just don't think!!!!

Angelina's is a local "Mom and Pop" grinder stop for many residing in the Pittsfield area, and after my first visit the other day I can certainly see why! The specialize in submarine sandwiches or "grinders" as they call them here in the East. Some hot, some cold, all delicious. They serve breakfast in the mornings, though I cannot vouch for how good it is, if we had been in the area we would have wanted to try them out for sure. Really, this place is a dive. They don't even have ice for their drinks! The food will most certainly ring up the wrong price. The chips on the shelf might be expired, haha. But the subs, wow! I've never seen a hot grinder so huge, or so smoking with ingredients and big pieces of juicy steak! I wondered how my Husband was going to eat it, it was so huge. He ended up taking a full half of it home, and that half resembled a whole foot long at Subway. Generosity was the name of the game, and that is a good thing, because this place isn't cheap despite their homely appearance. Two subs plus chips and drinks ran us back nearly $20. Still, no complaints. I think the pictures say it all, so please check them out! You'll see Hubby's monster steak grinder along with my son's 4'' (huge!) pastrami and cheese. Both looked incredible. Couple that with the fact that service was outstanding for us, and you have yourself a four star review. Well played, Angelina's. Well played!

While spending a day in the Berkshires, I was looking for lunch when I happened to find Angelina's Submarine Shops. The sub shop appears to have been located inside an old bank, as they still have the drive thru teller window and a night deposit door. When I entered inside, I saw a full menu which features both breakfast and lunch/dinner subs. I opted for the day's special, which was a veal parmesan sub (it's a treat for me to have veal), which was very tasty and made promptly. I'll look into stopping again when my travels take me through Pittsfield.

Just got their steak & cheese special and I basically paid $5.50 for bread and cheese (see photo)! Such a disappointment

Food- 4/5 Overall experience- 5/5…read more It was a fun spot to stop at to break up our drive back to Boston. The lot was small but many people were coming in and out so we didn't have to wait long to get a parking spot or outdoor seating. There are two shops: the deli and market with different vibes and items inside. The market is a quick shop with some snacks, drinks, coffee, and knickknacks. The deli is where the hot/cooked foods are at with some other specialty foods. The food was overall ok, nothing noteworthy. The main attraction is their Mac and cheese that had been circulating my IG feed. Don't think it's life changing but the shops have curated selections of local goods that are reasonable priced to get some last minute treats. Pass on the general tso(?) and the potstickers in my opinion unless you're really craving it. The desserts looked amazing and would definitely get one next time

We were able to get a spot in front with no issue, but I imagine that this was because it was a week day. We chose the Mac and cheese and the maple pulled pork. Both were worth the hype in my opinion. The mac and cheese was super creamy and paired well with the tender pulled pork. The baked goods were nothing to write home about. Maybe we just chose the wrong items? We tried: Oatmeal cookie - good, but not amazing. Chocolate chunk/ peanut butter cookie - stale as heck and basically inedible. I always am leery of saran wrapped cookies that are out on display because its impossible to know if there are actually fresh. The giant stacks of cookies were too enticing to pass up on. The chocolate cookie we purchased was definitely not fresh at all. $3.29 down the tubes - lesson on saran wrapped cookies learned (again). Carrot cake whoopie pie and original whoopie pie - both tasty, but the cake was too thick for my personal liking. We sat in the small outdoor seating area to eat. This was a nice little reprieve from the car ride.

Hugely disappointed…read more Two stars for ample parking (a rarity in Pittsfield), our server, and KENO. Menu looked right up our alley. Had nachos to start and the Hudpucker Smashburger. Wanted to keep it simple and at its core competency. Nachos were dry, luke warm and had huge strips of romaine lettuce - like salad size (there's irony coming up). 2oz soufflé cups of sour cream and jarred salsa were our only refuge. Made a huge mistake and got the steak add on. Cold, stringy steak-um type product thrown on the top in one large lump. Their smashburger is not a thin smashed patty that may come to your mind. It's a standard 6oz pre-form that they call "smash" as an excuse to put a steak weight on it and cook it beyond recognition. The brioche bun is "fake brioche." Has the outer look, but is super dry and tasteless. The irony was I ordered and paid for a side salad. It came in a tiny soup cup and in it had the shredded lettuce and pico I would expect on the nachos. Just really was hopeful. I could see a good vibe at times in there if you're under 25yrs old. Otherwise, the atmosphere offered little to off-set the meal.

Great sandwiches, great soup and even better customer service!…read more We ordered online-we customized our sandwiches (the only thing I would say is that their online system could use some love, it seems a little all over the place and the customization could be a little more in depth) But despite that, we ordered sandwiches and we both ordered the loaded potato soup. We debated on tasting it when we got there and then deciding to buy it (which is actually such a great idea) But we decided that we'd just go for it and ordered the soup too. The soup was phenomenal, so flavorful and warm, it was exactly what we needed on a snowy day. Our sandwiches contained everything we had ordered and they were beautifully made, not too messy but not lacking anything either. A footlong turkey, cheese, L,T, Bacon and Mayo was around $20. My husband's roast beef footlong with L,T, mayo, pickles, peppers, and provolone was a little over $22. A little pricey but like I said before-the sandwich wasn't lacking by any means. I think the best part was walking in and every single person working greets you so warmly. They seem so thrilled to do what they do every day and that alone makes me want to come back.
