Great little place that we discovered driving by. It looked cute and had a bunch of cars in the lot so we thought we would stop and get lunch. They had a special on quiche (buy 1 get 1) so we got a shitake and leek and a broccoli and cheddar quiche. added a salad for an extra $5 which we felt wasn't worth it. Came here for lunch today with my family and we all really enjoyed our meals! Wide variety of fun drinks right when you walk in-seltzer, kombucha, tea, etc. large menu with breakfast and lunch. They had a ton of premade baked goods as well like cakes, cookies, muffins, and more. Our food came pretty fast. Not too crowded on a Thursday afternoon. Indoor and outdoor seating. After several attempts to lock in a dinner reservation on a July 4th weekend for Great Barrington or Stockbridge areas, we seriously came up with zilch- because every single place we called was filled. But, when you're driving through town and nowhere to go, Marketplace Kitchen Table is a perfect place to stumble into. From the grey outside and pretty landscape, the name fits Marketplace- even more so when you head inside. The folks at Marketplace Kitchen wanted, "a place where food can be celebrated alongside friends, family and good tunes"- and they're right because we were sold. Especially the old school R&B playing. Yeah...in this Great Barrington joint. The menu ranges from breakfast to sandwiches, salads, wraps, burgers and the inevitable baked goods (not sure if they're made on the premises). Plus, it's Vegan and Vegetarian-friendly. Hubs went with the doubled stacked burger and said it was a bit bland but my Vegan Quinoa and Veggie wrap ingredients tied in nicely. Except, I initially wanted it without the offered dressing, but somehow my request wasn't acknowledged and got it with. Overall, the entire Vegan wrap tasted ok. Price for those 2 items, cream soda, juice and potato chips was fine at $40+. This breakfast-lunch-dinner spot has three other locations (different names)- so if you're staying in the area or just driving through like we did, Marketplace- or any other of their restaurants, is nice to have on your to-go list. read more

This visit I Chose a vegan chile, super packed with veg and beans-spiced just right. There's four to choose from and they wow without question! The wrap is Vegan, they clearly entertain all food liberals, and I am thankful GF is not included with every Vegan option! We picked up sandwiches here to take to Tanglewood and they were fantastic! The exterior of the building was so beautifully landscaped. We ordered inside and waited outside for our order, told it would be at least 10 minutes, so we enjoyed the flowers. Our order was up ahead of schedule. The chicken club was thickly layered with very moist flavorful chicken pieces and delicious bacon. The chicken and avocado was as good. These were good-sized sandwiches. But what's groovy about the Marketplace is that you can order their breakfast dishes four ways. Want it as a sandwich? No worries, man, you can do your sandwich thing for $6.95. Want it as a burrito? You can take your Jerry on a burrito trip for $7.45. Want it in a breakfast bowl served over greens? Groovy, man you can do that for $7.95. And if you are starving with a serious case of the munchies, you can feast on an omelet with home fries for a pretty reasonable $8.95. My very nice Bartholomew's Cobble sandwich (turkey with mayo ) with a lovely pickle captured most of the flavors of Thanksgiving (but where was the cranberry?). Needs improvement, especially with online ordering. We should be able to add lettuce and tomato to a burger (it should actually come standard, but it doesn't, especially since the burger is not juicy at all). There should be somewhere within online ordering to make a note, since they usually don't answer the phone. I didn't check "cooked through" which would imply the burger might be a little pink, but it wasn't, it was cooked through. The fried chicken sandwich was so disappointing I can't believe it. There was almost no chicken in it, and I was starving after I ate it. When one orders a fried chicken sandwich they expect a nice big juicy piece of chicken. This was a few tiny sliced pieces of chicken, then heavily breaded, not crispy at all, probably the equivalent of one chicken strip. Not even every bite of the sandwich had chicken in it. Chicken strips also have not enough meat, too much breading and are over fried. Please change out the fryer oil. This place is an easy place to pick up from but the food is going downhill and we probably will have to stop relying on it. read more

It was very tasty and plentiful with chicken. They asked if I had a gluten allergy and they indicated it on my order so the people preparing the food would take caution. The automatics were a bit loud. There was a group of high school students eating. Probably 15 of them so it was just poor timing for me. Cozy feeling with a small fireplace. Not a fan of the business model. You walk in, stand in line, order your food, and they bring to your table when ready. We were there on Sunday, Feb 13 at 10:50 am. Our check for breakfast was $55 for 4 of us (2 had water, 2 had coffee, and not including tax or a tip). I was expecting a sit down service, real dishes and silverware and a real mug for coffee. I am not a fan of paper plates and cardboard coffee cups when I am paying for breakfast at a restaurant that isn't fast food. The place was c rowded. Tables are close in proximity. The floor was filthy. The water pitcher was empty. They have plenty of staff behind the counter, but we only saw one poor woman running food and trying to keep up with the crowded restaurant area. I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The bread was delicious, but the scrambled eggs were cold. My daughter liked her chocolate chip pancakes, my husband didn't care for the potatoes but liked his omelet. My other daughter enjoyed her Jerry Garcia. I would not rush back. read more

I came here recently with my girlfriend and we both found the place to be wonderful. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and best of all seemed to enjoy being there. They also had a great sense of humor. I have been here a few times now over the last few years and I've had a great experience every time. We've come as a large group and small, eaten inside and outside, had breakfast, lunch and dinner. We've even brought the dog (when we ate outside). Overall, we love it here. The coffee is great and the good is too. Most recently I met my sister here and we both enjoyed breakfast bowls and really good coffee. Highly recommend the Berkshire Bella over greens.
