Thank you Yelpers for letting us know about Bob's. We were into a long drive and getting hungry and were delighted when we suddenly came across Bob's. We went in, enjoyed a delightful lunch, and wanted to share briefly with others. Bob's would seem to be a reliably good local stop, a diner/family restaurant that serves three meals a day, every day. We really liked their liver and onions (tasty if a little too overcooked for our preference), the big tuna melt and a fish fry sandwich with fries. Everything was pleasing, simple fare but good, and our server was attentive and speedy. The restaurant isn't large, but it is clean and so are their restrooms. Very happy we stopped here.

Came to Bob's on our last day in Massachusetts and have a wedding anniversary breakfast. Our server, Mary, was delightful. We loved hearing about her transition from Ft. Lauderdale, FA. Our breakfast and service were good. We will miss the nostalgic decor and friendly service. Thanks for making our New England trip memorable.

Ever since my friend, Pisan Paulie, and his wife, Gloria, raved about BCK, it was on my food bucket list. On a beautiful, top-down day, finally made the 70+ mile trip. Open daily at 7, w various closing hours. Parking lot full, always a good sign. Decided to sit at the counter. Brianna brought a menu, and took my beverage order. Tracy profusely apologized (twice) for what she thought was the long wait time. I was surprised bc I hadn't waited long. Torn between the meatloaf and open-faced hot turkey dinner, Tracy steered me to the turkey. It was delicious, plenty of turkey (smothered w a nice full-bodied gravy), fries, and baked beans. Really hit the spot. Spoke w a bunch of locals, as well as non-local regulars that drive over from 30+ miles away. Intrigued by the dessert choices, but decided that would have to wait for another day. Bob's is a welcoming, homey restaurant, as comfortable as an old slipper, as cool as a butterfly kiss. Tracy (and Brianna) both exceptional. 5 stars

Wandering around MA/VT today. Absolutely delicious chili cheese dog and sweet warm hospitality inside. Will return to try other items on menu. Desserts sounded delicious. Chuck wagon casserole sounded intriguing. Polish dishes sounded tempting. Another time.

If you want good clean home cooking this is the spot! Old time Mom & Pop restaurant - great breakfast, fluffy fruit filled pancakes, they have polish sausages and real maple syrup ! We just went for dinner first time and are so happy. We usually have breakfast - I had cod and partner had the chicken . Delish home made mash and beans, the chicken was so fresh and not greasy at all- headed home with desserts. It's like visiting grandma !! A must to dine Post skiing a few miles away !! I was interested in visiting Jake's Java after learning Jake was serving in the U.S. Air Force when his aircraft crashed during a training exercise, claiming the lives of all eight crew members on board. As a combat veteran myself, I wanted to support a local business that honors service and sacrifice. This was my first visit to Jake's, and I'm so glad I stopped by. Not only was the food excellent, but it was clearly made with love. In fact, that describes the entire atmosphere. The owner, Jake's mother Kim, is a wonderful woman, and if you stop by, you won't regret taking a moment to say hello. I highly recommend coming by for a cup of coffee, a sandwich, or simply to pay your respects. Outside, you'll find eight beautifully crafted picnic tables, each dedicated to one of the fallen service members. Take a seat, enjoy the moment, and spend some time reflecting on the heroes whose legacy lives on here. Jake's Java is more than a coffee shop--it's a tribute, a gathering place, and a reminder that our fallen heroes should never be forgotten.

And no, I did not "tell them how to run their restaurant" as the petulant owner says below. To be helpful, since I was solo, I asked for a counter seat not a table though there were a bunch empty. The attitudinal counter person snapped "there's a waiting list." When I asked how long, she made a face and said "maybe 15 minutes." Seeing that there were at least four empty tables (and no visible line), and not really wanting to wait 15 minutes for a counter seat, I asked if a two-top were possible. Now she flips out and yells "I said 15 minutes, what do you want a job telling me how to run this place?" I've worked pretty much every restaurant job in my youth from busboy to dishwasher to waiter to kitchen prep -- including in the Berkshires -- and would have been immediately fired if I ever went nuclear on a customer over a harmless question. Instead I got breakfast at another -- friendly, family-owned -- Pittsfield diner, had a great quick meal and tipped 30%. Some people get so full of themselves and their drama. You're serving eggs to your neighbors, not working the velvet rope at an exclusive club.

I ate the brownie on the drive home. It was dry, hard and contained pecans, not walnuts. Not a big deal for me since I like both walnuts and pecans. But still ... The pie might be the second worst raspberry pie I've purchased (second only to one that never gelled). First, it's salty. EW! It should be sweet and tangy. Heck, my husband wouldn't mind tart. But salty? No. Second, I paid $22 for a pie with what looks and tastes like canned raspberries. The filling if very syrupy, gooey. Either that or they misused ClearJel rather than tapioca or corn starch for thickening. It's so thick, it coats the back of your throat, like you've eaten corn syrup poured over smashed raspberries. It doesn't taste like the appropriate amount of sugar was added to the filling either. It does not taste fresh at all. It tastes like one I could have picked up at the grocery store.
