Me and my friends enjoy coming to this place every night after partying. The food is good, the service is nice and the ambiance is cozy. Really nice Italian restaurant for those afterhours craves. The food was OK but the tenders I ordered were really hard they're huge pet very hard and difficult to chew... While next door at St. Pete Brewing I was in need of a little snack and Angelo's just so happens to have fried mushrooms. The price is a little high for 1 order but I was willing to try them. I am giving a 3 Star based on that the mushrooms were super small in size and either they were over fried or the oil used was old. I would say for the price it is not worth it. The best late night spot in st.pete, I order delivery often and the food always arrives fresh and hot. Bar seating, several booths, and pool tables. Wings are solid as is the pizza, huge variety of foods on the menu and they're all done pretty well. Very good value for the price. This has been the saving grace of downtown's service industry folk since probably before I was born. To-go service is quick and friendly. Parking isn't as much of pain as other spots downtown. One of the best New York pizza places I have found in the Tampa area. Large dining room and bar area with great craft beer and wine options and full bar. And they are open till 330am every day! Making this a wonderful after party location. They are open daily 9am - 3:30am serving breakfast lunch and dinner. But for me the pizza was the star of the show, we got a New York style pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. Loved the crust and sauce. It definitely reminded me of New York pizza and being from New York City, I'm an expert. They were showing the lightning game with sound on so that made this place even better for me. A classic pizza place with a nice bar in downtown St. Pete. Met some friendly locals and friendly staff. The pizza did not blow my mind but it was great to have at the end of a night of drinking. We met a guy that was from New England. I don't know why but he reminded me of the movie Jaws. We were singing the song from Jaws when the dudes get drunk in the boat. I am on a mission to visit pizza joints that serve slices, there something about ordering a slice and heating it that makes the crust crispy. As I walked in I was not aware Angelo's was a pizza place and bar, bonus. I was there around two in the afternoon on a Friday, my typical time to grab slices. I sat at the bar and had no problem making my request. I ordered two slices and a coke, and later a Rolling Rock. They were big slices, crispy thin crust. The cheese and sauce were quality. Reading some of the other reviews I did not experience any poor service or attitude, even the people that were sitting at the bar struck up conversation with me. This is actually a sad review for me to write because I have been coming here for lunch off and on for many years and is a local place that I recommend to other people. Well tonight I went in there to have dinner, what a mistake! Just line I do when I go in for lunch I went up tomorrow order my pizza and what I wanted to drink. At the time the guy helping me was pretty nice. There were 2 of us ordered a pizza, water, soda and a beer. While ordering another guy behind the bar came up and started complaining to the guy helping us. I don't even know what he was complaining about because I had a long day at work and really didn't want to hear it. Anyways got out drinks and the soda came in a styrofoam cup and a bottle of water ( not usual but ok whatever ). Took the cheese and the pepper shaker from the counter and got a table. The guy brought the pizza out to our table in a box and we told him we wanted to eat it here and asked for some plates and silverware. No problem he brought out some paper plates plates and some plastic silverware to us. Everything was fine until we opened the box and seen the pizza. We had 1 pizza with different ingredients on each side or that atleast was the way we ordered it. I really wish I would've taken a picture of the mess they gave us. Not only were the ingredients thrown all over the pizza but also all over the crust, the box, and even some under the pizza. We had ordered this well done and it came out soggy and greasy. One of the ingredients we ordered was ricotta cheese on one side and it looked like somebody threw it up all over the pizza and the box. Didn't like the way it looked but thought whatever it's late, I'm hungry, and it's pizza so we each took a piece of pizza that wasn't even cut all the way and tried to eat it. Not good at all. If there was any red sauce on it ( which it was supposed to have ) there wasn't any on the pieces that we took. The soggy crust and the grease was just to much that we couldn't get ourselves to eat it. I'm tired and just didn't want to deal with it so decided to go without saying anything but I did want a refill on my Dr Pepper. I brought my empty cup to the bar and just asked nicely for a refill with no intention of saying anything else until the guy asked me how my pizza was. I' e been going here for over a decade and this is my first time ever having a problem so when he asked I thought he should know. Without being rude I told him I' e been coming here for a long time for lunch and this is the worst pizza I've ever had here and explained why. I was thinking he would ask to see the pizza or something. Maybe even ask if we wanted them to make another one ( I didn't want another one ). But no he just said that's to bad and walked away. When I went to get a refill on my Dr Pepper I had every into still keep going back for lunch but after that reaction I don't ever want to go back to that restaurant again. read more

After a long miserable day I was so looking forward to stuffing my face with Caesar salad and wings with bleu cheese. I left a note requesting extra Cesar and bleu cheese because I am an oompa loomlic sauce guzzler; I was polite and made clear I knew I didn't have a right to free extra (even tho there's nowhere to order sauce on the Uber eats menu, not even an option to select between ranch and blue cheese for wings. Now after such a miserable and gut wrenching day, I saw hope in finding happiness in my bleu cheese drenched wings and Cesar dressing with romaine lettuce on the side. I earned it. To my dismay, I received 0 bleu cheese for my 2 orders of wings and 1 Cesar for 2 large salads (a normal Cesar salad would have 3 of them) so essentially I got 1/6 of what's reasonable. Most days I'd be sad but shake it off, maybe go down to Walmart and buy some Cesar and BC; the 2 problems with that is dressing but the stores are closed AND I'm an emotional basket case and this was supposed to make me feel all is well but now I almost want to cry read more

This place was recommended to us after a late night of drinking and we desperately needed carbs. When everything else is closed, just head here. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating including a bar. The menu has a great selection of food but I've only had the pizza. Staff is friendly and food is cooked fast. There's no waiters ( that I noticed) so you have to go to the counter to place your order. Pizza is cooked nice and thin. You really can't go wrong with this place . read more

HOWEVER, BEWARE, there is one good bar tender (Wednesday crew). The others are so miserable. Asked for a water and for my sandwich to get delivered to me at the bar. I got so much attitude and a dirty yellow water because the bar tender wanted to be rude :/ if the bar tender looks like Roz from monsters inc, walk out and go somewhere else (miserable service from a terrible bar tender. Awful.) Miserable bar tenders create miserable vibes, especially on a Saturday. All in all good spot and good food. The people that work here are so fun and nice. I had a great time meeting regulars. Who doesn't love playful banter? A bartender at Five Bucks recommended we go here for late night cravings. Apparently, it's a place that people in the food industry go to late at night. The pizza was bomb! I don't eat meat but my friend's Philly Cheesesteak looked impressive. Delicious delicious delicious! We came here after a night at the Emerald. I just needed a slice of cheese to soak up some of the alcohol and satisfy my hungry stomach. I live in California now and there are a few things that are VERY difficult to find. A good solid slice of thin NY style pizza, the kind where you can just get cheese and thats all you need. Quality sauce, crust and cheese packed with tons of flavor. Other things that are hard to find are good Greek and Chinese food. ‍. I wish i took a picture, but i was having too much fun. This is an update to my previous review. I went back again and decided to go away from pizza and got the eggplant parm dinner. It was incredible. Huge portion and the price was great.
