Our server Kim was the best part of our experience here. She was friendly and stopped by at just the right times. For lunch, we ordered the spaghetti and meatballs and the hawaiian pizza. The meatballs seemed to be overworked, dense and kind of dry; the main problem was the lack of seasoning between the meatballs and the tomato sauce (really could have used some garlic, oregano, basil, etc.). We did enjoy the flavorful pizza but the crust was super thin and flimsy, which made it difficult to get a slice from the pizza pan to your plate with only a fork--you don't get a spatula, besides the fact we prefer a crispier crust. read more

Eh. I'm part Italian and I know what good pizza is, being raised in NY. Literally have ate pizza all over America. My Husband REALLY wanted good pizza. We did a Google search and IKEs popped up. We figured we'd give it a try. We honestly should have just went to McDonalds, or Taco Bell. So let's get into it, Honestly: The Mac and Cheese was Good. Honestly it was the only thing I was really impressed with. They used an adequate amount of cheese, to leave the Mac and cheese full of flavor and the portion size for $8.00 is pretty great. Now the "Rigaroni Vodka", is another story. The "Rigatoni" aren't even Rigatoni noodles, they're like a Wide Fusilli noodle. I wanted the Vodka Rigatoni, exclusively for the sauce. (Isn't that what we all want?!) To be Honest, You can't taste the Vodka sauce. It tastes like regular sauce with cream cheese added in it to LOOK like they made it "alla Vodka." It's missing Robust Flavor. My Mom takes 8 Hours to make her spaghetti sauce, this "Vodka Sauce" isn't tangy, plentiful, creamy, or rich. And just soaked up with the noodles. Nevertheless, it was Edible. The portion sizes are Not the best. All pizzas are the same size, and the service is okay. It's not Great, it's just okay. The Pizza: The pizza was very disappointing. I was hoping to get a "little piece of home." Something that resembles or comes close to finding NY style pizza. (REALLY Hard to find in the South! LOL) and was hopeful. There was no crust on the pizza, or sauce. lol so the burnt bottom of the pizza, sticks to the cheese on the top. It was really weird eating a dry pizza. It was so dry the sauce looked cracked on the crust. As seen in pictures, the Pizza is VERY THIN. Lol. The place is Nice, The girls working on Sunday were okay. We went after Church. It was a little discouraging to see them all in Tight short-shorts though. So besides that, the Ambiance and Atmosphere were Fair. The one pizza we ordered... the White Pizza, was so Very Salty. And has Gorgonzola cheese on it, wasn't too good. I think Gorgonzola cheese is the wrong cheese to use on that. My Husband agreed, it kind of throws the balance and taste of the pizza off by giving it this moldy, Bleu Cheese taste. We thought Goat cheese would be supple, cleaner, and lighter. Overall, we were a little disappointed. Then our Stomachs were a Mess later on after. My recommendations: -Barely any parking- Traffic Cones and Road work blocking A LOT of spaces. -The Mac and Cheese is Great! -Garlic Knots are awesome -I would call ahead and order for pickup. We were in Middlesboro for one night and I had sourced this restaurant before our visit based on reviews. There's not a whole lot of choice in Middlesboro, but Ike's was perfect for what we needed and was only a 6 min drive from our hotel. Great pizza -- I'm picky about my pizza, but this one was delicious! If you're in Middlesboro, Ike's is a MUST! I was very impressed with the inside appearance as well as the patio. I ordered the Vodka pasta with meatballs substituting rigatoni for linguine. Delicious, creamy, Parmesan-y...so good. The salad was fresh and the ranch dressing tasted home made. We also ordered the calamari and fried mozzarella appetizers which were equally delicious! The only SLIGHT change I would make is that I felt the meat pizza could have had a little more sauce. That very well may have just been a one time mishap. This is a beautiful, delicious restaurant with lovely service and I highly recommend! read more

Ok but not great. I like to support the small places and especially once's helping revitalize downtown. I ordered a pizza and asked for the pretzels and cheese appetizer to eat while I waited for it. Well, the pizza came out a do the waitress said that the pretzels always take longer than pizza. She said she probably should have held the pizza order. (Or maybe she could have told me, especially since I asked for the pretzels to eat while waiting). Pretzels were very good. Pizza was ok. Very salty and not a lot in the way of toppings. I only ordered pineapple and ham. Neither of the toppings were spread out evenly. I'd probably go back just to support the downtown, not because it was good. We have been here twice now and are more impressed each visit ! The decor is classy and comfortable. Not too loud and plenty of television if you're into watching sports- if not they have trivia as well. Honestly you could spend a good time enjoying looking at their beautiful bar. We tried the calamari and the mozz appetizers and they were perfect. The pizzas were amazing and the pasta is homemade and tasted delicious. Dessert was also just as good - we have no complaints. I've tried. I swear I've tried. When someone asks what the one food I could eat for the rest of my life, I say PIZZA. I love the atmosphere and the wonderful staff. So... artisan pizza? Compared to what? A penitentiary? This is the worse pizza I have ever had. Stop at the gas station and order a pizza to eat in the car on the way to have a wonderful cold beer here, but don't order the pizza. What was wrong? Well, the toppings were all in the very middle, leaving at least a two inch section around the pizza without any topping at all. The sauce was virtually flavorless and the flavor that was there was just basic tomato sauce. The crust tasted frozen. I say " tasted" because it may not have been. Honestly, the crust had the flavor of a spoon of dry four. When I showed the wonderful bartender the "pizza", she had it remade. Do you want to guess? Yup. The second one came out the same way. At this point we were hungry and the employees were busy. I didn't feel like causing more of an issue. Try it. I highly encourage you to prove me wrong. You'll see what I mean. Has the owner never even made a frozen pizza? It honestly makes me sad. If I could sit here and drink and order Pizza Hut, I would be ecstatic. read more

We moved near here 2 yrs ago, and this was the first time here. They had no problem making an unusual custom pizza for us, and it was delicious! The crust is perfect. We also opted for the fried green tomatoes, which are some of the best ones we've had so far. Service was great, ambiance is comfortable. Ike's is going to be one of our favorite places, definitely coming back. Looking forward to trying more menu items. read more

The food was very good. The pizza was hot and fresh. Our server was awesome, I didn't catch his name, but he was a young guy with a mustache. He was very attentive and we didn't have to wait for help with anything. The ambiance was great as well. We were immediately seated outside and were the only people there aside from a couple at the bar. There's a outdoor bar area, lights over the tables, and fire pits at every table. The outdoor area was in a alley type of area surrounded by brick and was really neat. The only critique I have was that the beer cheese dip was watery and needed to be thicker. It had a very good flavor though. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will be back. read more

Artisan Pizza? More like burnt pizza. The place was great when it first opened, and honestly seemed like a glimmer of hope in an otherwise lacking city for restaurants. Pizza was fresh and the burgers were also better than any local fast food by far. Fast forward a couple months later and they burn EVERYTHING. The burger? Overcooked. The pizza? Charcoal. Well to begin with I went here on mothers day with my mother. Ike's was easy enough to find & has a VERY COOL atmosphere & even a HUGE brick oven so you'd think the pizza wld just be off the chains. But it really wasn't so much for me AnywayZ. The pizza is made there in the restaurant but it's really not all tht great. Believe me. I love good pizza and good homemade pizza especially. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza and it did have a few pineapples on it & they were good. There just wasn't much to it. Two bites and you've eaten a whole slice. Ya know. Also our waitress, a young female seemed disenchanted with even being there & I dnt think she asked me if I needed anything once. I had to asked her several times for napkins and sauce & when I did it felt like I shouldn't be asking for anything at all & I should just be happy with what I had to begin with. Such a fun, lively place. Went with a group of six. My wife and I split a side salad - the blue cheese dressing was crazy good! We then ordered a pizza with jalapeños on the side. When the pizza came, it had the jalapeños on it, so it was sent back. About ten minutes it cam back to us, there was a jalapeño on it making it obvious to us they had been picked off (minus one) and reheated. Not cool, especially when my wife does not like spicy food. Went to this place for Mother's Day. First of all, it was under-staffed and service was very slow. I ordered a pasta dish with a salad. It took forever for the salad to arrive and when it did, the dressing was not with it. I asked for the dressing and also for salt & pepper (there was none on the table). In the meantime, my husband's appetizer arrived (that's all he got) and he ate it and said it was good. A few minutes later, she brought my pasta dish and was oblivious to the fact that she'd still not brought my salad dressing or salt & pepper. I had ordered the carbonara. It was lukewarm and there couldn't have been more than a couple of tablespoons of sauce in with the pasta, so it was dry and the pasta stuck together in a glob on my plate. My husband was completely finished eating and I hadn't even started. When the server came back, she said "Oh, i forgot your salad dressing". I pushed both the salad and the pasta over towards her and said "you can take this back, I won't be eating it". They took my portion of the order off of the bill, but I won't be going back. My husband took me through the drive-through at Wendy's instead. read more

No garlic in Shrimp Scamp? What? It says it in the description; Garlic and lemon butter with white wine. The waiter even said it has a lot of garlic I got Butter noodles, onions and red peppers and no garlic and no white wine. I got charged for freaking Parmesan cheeses on Scampi? When I said something to the waiter he was like, oh well. My Husband ordered a steak sandwich which had absolutely no Flavor. My Daughter ordered pasta with pesto, Bland, so bland.Angel hair pasta that was cooked so many times and was mushy. I will say the beer cheese dip and pretzels was good, but that was it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. I stop by this place for dinner. There are only 3 tables inside and two outside. There are 4 wait staffs and 3 or 4 kitchen workers. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, my buddy ordered steak and cheese recommended by the staff. After waited for 1 hour for steak and cheese sandwich to arrive and 1 1/2 hours later my spaghetti meatballs arrived. The two table who came in before us didn't get their food only salad were served to them. Not sure what going on in the kitchen. The food wasn't that good. Spaghetti noodle were over cooked and meatballs have no flavor. My 10 years old kids can cook better spaghetti meatball less then 30 min. This place is a joke. Inside were freezing cold not sure why they turn the AC so low. Steak and cheese were tasteless just meat between the buns no vegetables or seasoning so lame. This place need to shut down or get a person who know how to cook. If you can't serve your dish in 15 min, just get out of the business. Appetizers took 45 min to arrived. THOS PLACE IS A JOKE. I have had maybe one time with bad food but that's just one of hundreds of visits. Atmosphere and food is terrific, the only downside is the amount of waiting staff.
