Scrapple, egg and cheese on white toast, $6.25, cash only. I don't think things have changed much at Angelo's in the last 25 years. Good meal at a fair price and Elvis memorabilia, what more can you ask for??

This is a neighborhood mom and pop place. It's just ok. The decor is nice and retro. They observe covid 19 protocol. Service is great but the food is just ok

It's like going back in time to a old-school 50s diner. Friendly service, good food, and even better prices. Check em out if you're in town!

Angelo's was a pleasant surprise, we originally had other plans, but the location we were supposed to eat at didn't open on time. So as they say, the early bird catches the worm- we saw Angelo's up and running on our way, and thought it would be the perfect mom and pop type of breakfast joint to start our road trip off right. "Mom and Pop shop" isn't an idiom here, believe me they're keeping things old-school cool when it comes to decor, style, and most importantly Taste. Everything was made fresh, and cooked with a slow deliberacy that's often left on the wayside of modern society. I like to imagine, most people still remember that slow cooked food means more flavor. In the age of the 10-minute meal no matter where you're ordering from it's easy to forget. Angelo's on the other hand is a wonderful reminder that slow and steady can absolutely win the race. I kept things light- save space for a few other destinations and stops on the way out since DE is close enough to visit on a day trip, and a friend has family out this way so visiting again, is very likely. I opted for a McMuzzin (a take on MCD's mcmuffin) alongside Home fries. After all breakfast isn't /really/ breakfast without some type of fried potato to soak everything up. Let me start off by saying I'm normally not the biggest fan of English muffins, but i am a sucker for specialty sandwiches, and the McMuzzin was a pleasant surprise. The "muffin" was extremely fresh, extremely soft, buttered to the gills and ever so slightly toasted. If all English muffins came out like this, i think i'd be a lot bigger fan of them. Eggs were perfectly fried as well, 0 runniness, and the classic slapdash seasoning Salt and Pepper. Slapdash in thought though, not execution. remember how i mentioned slow and steady before? Pepper first, fried, and then ever so lightly salted afterwards, it makes all the difference in the world whereas flavor is concerned. You cant beat an open kitchen. There's something magical about seeing the food be made especially when you can understand and appreciate whats going into the proverbial crafting of your meal. Which is why i cant fault the lack of crispiness in the Taylor ham. Low and slow is the rule of thumb here, and it draws a lot of flavor out- believe me, Hatfield pork roll has never tasted so good. This mentality also extends to the Homefries potato and onion as well. Just enough structural soundness to stay on a fork to immediately fall apart in your mouth. Suffice to say food here is phenomenal, home-cooked goodness available for order. It doesn't revolutionize what breakfast is, but ill be damned if it isn't good. Outside of food, service is great, and the building is a window to the past, Americana would be an apropos description. My favorite quirk here however is the bathroom. The "Porcelain Throne" here is solely dedicated to The King. For the uninitiated, The King, is Elvis Presley, his kingdom, classic Rock and Roll. If your unfamiliar, you may also think it odd to dedicate a bathroom to a musician. Believe me it isn't- it's a dad joke in the making. The king died of cardiac arrest while on the toilet, making it a befitting memorial. That being said, rest assured i'll be back to Angelo's to time travel, sometime in the future. Cannot say enough positive things about our experience at Angelos. We're on a road trip around the US and we try the iconic food of each state as we travel around. Scrapple was the food to try in Delaware and we are so grateful that Angelo's Luncheonette was the recommendation that popped up for us. Our kids have claimed it as their favorite food stop in the US. The service was unparalleled. Seriously the best staff that made our morning. Even the other customers were some of the friendliest and kindest people we've met in our travels. As we drove away they were waving through the window. It felt like a wonderful morning with family. Thanks so much Angelo's Luncheonette!!

Best breakfast in Wilmington. Admittedly, the food is typical greasy spoon fare; it's the service and hospitality that keeps me coming back. The Muzzi's have kept this family run business alive for 40+ years and they have established Angelo's as a staple in the Forty Acres community. Their pancakes are the best I've had in the First State. Excellent breakfast food overall and their sandwiches are pretty good as well. Again, the food itself is not especially noteworthy; it's the ambiance of a mom-n-pop joint where the owners and customers interact that makes Angelo's so special and a fun place to grab a bite to eat.

Finally made it to my Bookmarked Angelo's in Wilmington and wow was I happy ! It truly is a one of a kind place not much seen around here anymore. It's reminiscent of all the little luncheonettes that dotted the West Philly landscape when I was a kid. Locally owned/operated. Serving really good food in a kind, attentive and truly caring environment. Not only did the waitress serve well but the owner/cook came by and honestly took the time to ask every patron how they were, how the meal was and to not hesitate to speak up if anything was needed. Can you say "Customer focus?" Or how about "neighborly" It's located in a neighborhood in Wilmington with street parking. It is small with a couple of booths and 12 counter seats. The decor is in a word-charming. Take a look around and you will see a telephone sign from I think the 40's, an old cash register from the 20's ( the one they use is a 60's or 70's model) and I even saw an old soda fountain from the 60's. I went on a Tuesday and it was great. The coffee which was refilled often was one of the best I've had in all of 2014. The grill is in plain view and the cook( owner?) easily prepared a multitude of breakfast items on what appeared to be a well-seasoned grill. That's half the appeal of this place. My breakfast platter was splendid and I will be returning,

Found this place by chance on a whim at the early stage of a weekend road trip with my buddies. The original stop although advertised as being open was closed. However at the end of it there was no mistake in coming here. We were promptly greeted at arrival by friendly smiling faces. The decor of Elvis and early Americana was great. The setup small but ample seating we opted for the counter. The food cooked to order and delicious. I went for 2 Eggs over medium with seeded rye toast, homefries and scrapple. All cooked in short order the chef keeping up conversation while attending to the hot griddle. In a way kind of diner throwback to yesteryear but the way more places should be. It made a great start for the trip. If I am ever in the area I'll surely be back.

The walls are red with a black wainscoting paneling and framed pictures, sconces, and a small wine rack can be found on the red part of the wall. The ordering counter is also nearby and has a display case with pizza pies in it. We were immediately seated after arriving and ordered the following: Medium holiday veggie pizza, which has mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, ricotta, green peppers, and diced tomatoes. We didn't realize that the pizza didn't have red sauce but we still liked it. Hubs said that he needs to read the menu closer next time when ordering pizza. This wasn't the first time we accidentally got a no sauce pizza. LOL. Daughter and I shared Vongole, which is linguini tossed with 12-15 little neck clams with your choice of white or red sauce. She chose red sauce. We also got a choice of soup and she chose pasta fagioli. She liked the clams and said that the entree was nice and saucy. I prefer white clam sauce, though. So, I will try that next time. Fried calamari- calamari golden fried squid with side of homemade sauce. I liked that the calamari wasn't breaded. This is my favorite type of calamari. We should've ordered linguini on the side and this was Hubs' favorite dish of the night. The place filled up quickly after we arrived. Hubs had been wanting to try Italian food in Delaware. This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. We were expecting it to be a fancy restaurant when we saw the exterior and were pleasantly surprised that it was a pizzeria. All these wonderful components combined deliver what I only can describe as heaven to my tastebuds. I ordered a medium (10 inches) and ate the entire thing in one sitting.
