Fanatically delicious is absolutely on point. Whilst in Delaware, I made a mission to try what I heard several times was the "Greatest Sandwich in America." Even though it was 20 minutes from my stay, I'm so glad I made the trek to Capricotti's because this sandwich SLAPS. The Bobbie is a Thanksgiving sandwich. I found the cranberry sauce to be significantly less sweet compared to other similar creations. This was perfect as it didn't overtake the other flavors. The turkey was delicious. It didn't have that weird, off taste that deli turkey sometimes has (IYKYK). The stuffing was wonderfully seasoned and delivered so much flavor. All these wonderful components combined deliver what I only can describe as heaven to my tastebuds. I ordered a medium (10 inches) and ate the entire thing in one sitting. The only thing that saddens me is I live 3000 miles away, so the likelihood of me experiencing this again is slim. I also hope I have the opportunity to try their other sandwiches because if this one was so amazing, I bet the others are equally as great. If you're a tourist, I cannot stress this enough: GO HERE. The order was not only wrong but there was no meat on the one half of the sandwich and the other half barely any. Today, a week later, I called to order the Bobbie for pickup. After going back and forth with the employee, who stated my name was NOT on their comp list, they reluctantly agreed to honor the comp. When I picked the sandwich up I supplied the info from the original mistake. My 85 year old neighbor was so excited to finally get her Bobbie until this I can understand a turkey bone being missed here and there but this is the 2nd time finding one and this one is pretty big in my opinion. I highly recommend this shop! The workers are helpful, friendly, respectful, and patient with customers. They always work hard and provide outstanding quality to the food. I receive loads of great service light years away from the Silverside branch. As a note to everyone, DO NOT go to the Silverside branch whatsoever! They are snotty and rude to their customers and don't have the proper sanitation methods at that location. This store is a staple of our city and I highly recommend the Impossible Cheesesteaks, which tastes identical to their traditional cheesesteak. Wow for once there is a food place that deserves my 5 stars in DE! If you are looking for something actually good to eat in DE this is the place. It is unique and it is something you cannot get anywhere else. This place is know for the Bobbie sandwich which is basically Thanksgiving in a sandwich. I am not a big sandwich fan myself but I absolutely love the Bobbie sandwich here. Its basically submarine (or "hoagie" for all you East coast people) with shredded perfectly seasoned not dry turkey (I find most turkey meat to be dry but this place makes it perfect), stuffing, cranberry, and a special gravy sauce. The portions are HUGE and the price is VERY CHEAP for what you are getting. One thing to note is that this is not a sit-in type of a place and you can only order to-go. The store isn't that clean, nor neat, and the location is kind of "ghetto" so come here not alone or not at night. But since the sandwiches are so good, I think it's worth it. I HATE sandwiches and I HATE turkey but I love the Bobbie sandwiches here and if you can make me love turkey and sandwiches you deserve my 5 starts. Capriotti's is a sandwich shop from Wilmington Delaware that now has franchises across the United States. The original one still operates out of a row home on the edge of Wilmington's Little Italy. Since I was in Wilmington recently, this is the Capriotti's I hit up. Capriotti's has won several awards for their sandwiches (or so it says on a sign) - especially for the Bobbie sandwich which has been described as Thanksgiving dinner inside an Italian roll. The picture of The Bobbie on the internet as well as on the wall of this eatery looks delicious and since I have very rarely ever had a Thanksgiving dinner (I'm usually back home in Vienna), I decided to order one and take it with me to eat later. But sadly have I rarely been so disappointed with a sandwich. First of all, it looked nothing like the photo in the sandwich shop which shows layers of chunks of turkey, a layer of stuffing, and a layer of cranberry sauce. What I had looked like ground-up turkey (or being kind maybe you could call it pulled turkey) with a little bit of stuffing mixed in and a couple of dots of cranberry sauce. If you don't believe me - look at my photo of the Bobbie sandwich and then check out their photo on the website. Now comes the real problem - I didn't like it. The roll was thick and not as springy and fresh as I like it and it totally dominated the sandwich. There is no way the sandwich which I was served could have gotten an award. C'mon guys look at the photo of the Bobbie you have posted and try to make the sandwich with chunks of turkey and more stuffing & cranberries. p.s. We always get lunch from this place for large group lunches at work. I never heard of the bobbie sandwich until this place came up on conversation. It's like a turkey dinner in a sub sandwich: Stuffing, cranberry juice, and of course -- turkey. It's hearty and tastes great. They have a lot of other sandwich varieties but I always stick with the bobbie. The downside about this place is that they don't deliver so the limiting factor is, when's my food gonna arrive? Really hits the spot. But what compelled me to write this review is the fact that their phone number is nowhere to be found on the Yelp page! If it is on the site, it certainly isn't prominent because I couldn't find it. I've had an adequate cheesesteak here before but it was at night when I was a a desperate former Philadelphian visiting for too short a time to hit my favorite spot. So, under those circumstances, it satisfied. i am most excited about capriotti's!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i go to visit wilmington delaware i go to union street, the original store. i love the best turkey sub and their tuna sub and their philly cheese sub and meatball sub. i love their subs so much i hide eating them from my friends there and i bring the sub back to my hotel and devour it in the privacy of my own room. i first go to a supermarket and buy a tiny jar of mayo, a small jar of pickles and "utz" brand potato chips. (the reason i hide eating them from my friends is because usually i have just finished eating one with them and i don't think they would understand how much i love capriotti's subs, in that i then leave their house and go back to capriotti's and order another sub and bring it back to my hotel room. i get the small sub, but that is quite large and i can get two meals out of it. ) no kidding at all when i shout: "i just love, love, love capriotti 's subs." there are no other sub sandwiches on this planet that beats that fresh, classic sub sandwich taste. they can put spicy hot peppers or sweet peppers on your sub too. the best. i love capriotti 's. i wish i could write in larger shouty lettering. read more
