Just your typical diner serving typical diner food. Service was friendly and food came out relatively fast. Had to hit the savory dishes with the ole SPK(salt, pepper, ketchup) and the sweet dishes with syrup. The son of the owner also sells pizza pies from the shop. Cash only. The restaurant is small and cozy as its name suggests. When you enter the aroma is wonderful. The menu is very simple, no frills but it's "breakfast comfort food." I had French toast, turkey sausage and scrambled eggs. The menu items are reasonably priced and the food is good and satisfying. The waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. The only drawback for me was that they didn't have any decaf coffee or herbal tea. I'm used to diners that have coffee and tea. But all around good otherwise. Definitely will return. read more

Different cheesesteak #1013 in the last four years. It was 'dine in' Pizza night with @nickspizzaandotherthings302 (on instagram). 'Dine in' being the key words. No take out. It had been a long day and I was in no mood for this cheesesteak. From above it looks like it needs more meat. In the center cut picture you can see it has a good amount of meat. A good amount of melted cheese and nice big pieces of onion. When I picked it up I saw it was a thick slice of meat. I was scared. My fear was confirmed with a thin veiny piece of fat in just about every bite. Not a big piece of gristle. That little thin veiny piece of fat that you have to chew forever. I really liked the roll. Other than the fat and $13 price this was a good cheesesteak. It was pizza night so I got a slice of tomato pie. That was good. read more

Local great reviews of KK brought me here on a cold Monday around 10:30 AM and the place was mobbed. I soon found out why. Not wanting to wait for a table I decided on takeout of - Ham and egg sandwich which when consumed I felt as if I was transported to a good place. This ham was real fresh ham, right off the bone on a soft roll that complimented the clearly very fresh eggs. - Pork roll and egg sandwich. My friend loves his Pork roll and isn't easily swayed. Well he was for this. He commented on how fresh the pork roll tasted as well as the eggs and roll. -2 coffees which were very, very good. All packed very well to go. Nothing spilled out and the sandwiches were still hot when we ate 15 minutes later. We will be back. read more

This little place is a family restaurant set in a narrow building serving only breakfast and lunch. The food was great and the place was immaculately clean. My husband and I stopped in for lunch while our car was serviced across the street. I had a BLT and a cup of homemade split pea soup. The BLT used good bacon and tasty tomato. The split pea soup was so good that I bought a container to take home. My husband said he had never tasted a gyro as good. The prices are reasonable. I've been living just a few blocks away from this spot for a couple years but only now decided to check it out. It's a diner, essentially, that serves breakfast and lunch. You might ask, so how can they screw things up. Well, it seems they can't. On a recent visit (my first) I was pleased to see that they partitioned all the booths to help maintain distance and all staff were appropriately masked. (That was my first impression that made me decide to dine in). The food was also good. I had French toast, eggs and bacon, and enjoyed it. The service was also wonderful. Nothing particularly special about the place, but it you want a good breakfast (and I would also assume the lunch is as good), you can definitely check this out. read more

What a lovely discovery. Kozy Korner is a great place for breakfast and it will definitely be part of the occasional..."ugh I drank too much, I need a solid breakfast" routine. I ordered a pepper and egg sandwich that came on a long roll with american cheese...I added jalapenos. My gf ordered a veggie omelet. Both were served with an abundant amount of breakfast potatoes that were delicious! I added fried onions because that's how they should always be ordered. Both meals were enjoyed. This place is adorable. Our waitress was super friendly and very efficient. We each had a fresh pour of coffee and our bill totaled $15. Old school breakfast prices, I'll take that. Wow what a find! I love this adorable little place. First off, they've been around since 1922. I think that's a good sign!! This is a very cute small-ish diner. Quiet and indeed kozy. Despite the age it's very clean inside. The service was great, coffee served within 1.7 minutes of sitting down and the server was super chatty and friendly in the best way. We had a great hang over breakfast ... The most important kind of bfast there is. I had the veggie omelet (served with home fries and toast) and my gf had a breakfast sandwich customized to her liking and a side order of potatoes (big portion!!) They were completely accommodating to special requests. The food was great and came out fast. my veggie omelet was loaded with vegetables!! Potatoes were on point. Crispy here and there and not all greasy. Her Sandwich was delish as well and good sized. I can't wait to go back and try other breakfast items and definitely the lunch items too! A quick glance at the lunch menu sold me on a return for both meals. Last but not least, this place is very inexpensive! Our total was like $15 but you could easily eat for less than that. Was driving around Wilmington looking for a place to grab a quick breakfast/lunch. I was trying to find a place that was "very Very Delaware" Considering I had no idea what that really meant and still do not, I think that I made an excellent decision by choosing The Kozy Korner. By NYC diner standards, the Kozy Korner is pretty standard. Maybe people love this place because it is the only diner type establishment around, maybe they like it because of the food, but this type of restaurant most likely garners local popularity due to repetition and reflex- also known as the scrapple effect. Scrapple is a food that is served here along side or in lieu of bacon or ham. It is not good- people just like it because they have had it since birth-yes birth, because if at any other time it was the first time one tasted scrapple, one would not like scrapple and choose to not eat it again. So the scrapple effect is when a place or food is appreciated not necessarily because of quality or taste but rather because of the feeling of the experience- that is Kozy Korner. I did not say it wasn't worth trying- but its nothing too crazy. This breakfast and lunch diner is in walking distance but I will not be making it back. The name does not reflect the seating inside. The service was poor and the food was below average and over priced. I ordered a egg omelet with sausage and mushroom with an orange juice. It comes hash browns and toast. The food was brought to my table but she left it on the other side of the table and walks away. She couldn't even take the time to place it in front of me. There were only a few tables out of a possible 12 that could be seated. She did check on me once but that was a minute after she sat down the food. The orange juice was in a tiny cup. I had to supplement my orange juice with my water so I would have enough drink for the entire breakfast. When I ran out of water I placed my glass to the side of the table so they would see and refill it. It was never refilled. The omelet had some cheese but if you look at my picture it wasn't even melted. The omelet was warm not hot so I doubt it was folded and cooked with the ingredients inside. My hash browns looked like a few tablespoons. Finally, I piled my dish and silverware up to wait for a check. I had to stare a waitress down to get my check. To make things worse, I didn't have cash. There was no visible sign on the door. The only sign was on the register that was mostly covered up with their flyers. So for my pictured food, it was $17 total for small portioned breakfast omelet plate with poor service. He did apologize but when I mentioned he should put a cash only sign on the door. He looked at the door and acted like there was something posted but then apologized again and said yeah we should have it on the door. I am sure they make money on the ATM. I will check back in a few week to see if he posts it on the door. I can only go to one star but the food was edible. I can spend less money at a better diner especially a national awful house. Don't check this place out you can do better else where. read more

CASH ONLY!!! I didn't notice that on the yelp page, thankfully I did have cash. The bacon and home fries were delicious!! So was the rye toast. Coffee was typical for a greasy spoon. Eggs I should not have gotten scrambled. They were cooked on the grill and were those thin folds of eggs. Kinda chewy and flavorless. I wish I had gotten them any other way. This is a neighborhood spot that was full of locals who knew each other and the restaurant staff. Unfortunately, the original location was leveled for a new high rise hotel in Downtown Wilmington. This place really didn't have much character. But if you want some cheap good eats, this is your place!! read more

We come here a couple times a year or more, because of our distance from where we are in Pennsylvania. Stop here as often as possible when we are around Wilmington. I really enjoyed the omelet with its feta cheese, lamb & veggies and also liked the potatoes that were nice and salty. My mom thought the food was too greasy. Reasonable, good - not great, but solidly good - breakfast spot. My fiancé and I both opted for the creamed chipped beef with home fries after our server lit up telling us about it. It arrived to the table almost immediately, hot and delicious as promised. It was a quick, tasty meal, perfect for what we were looking for. Very disappointed in my experience here. I am new to the area and thought I'd treat myself to some breakfast, so I went here based on decent yelp reviews. First, in the middle of me ordering my food, the attendee cashes someone out at the register. No pause. No excuse me. Just in the middle of the conversation. So excuse that poor customer service and order my food. When it was ready I go to pay for my meal and am told that the place is cash only. In 2017, if you are cash only, you should make sure your customers know before they order.. A sign, a verbal notification something! He offers his atm in the back of the restaurant but I don't pay atm fees (why would anyone pay to get cash... that never made sense to me). So I go on a hunt to find a Wawa so I can get cash. I find one and come back to look to see if I missed a sign or something about cash only. The only sign I saw was a sign on the cash register hidden by flyers. I had to physically move the flyers just to see the sign. Anyways.. I get home, warm up my food (by then it was cold), and start to eat, only to find out that the french toast wasn't even done. So here I am writing this review, trying to cook the french toast in the oven. All of this work is not worth the $9.70 I spent on the meal. I mean really basic food, nothing special.
