Our toddler wanted French fries at an inconvenient time of night and we were glad to find this place not far from the beach. We got a take out order of fries, and they were great! We ended up swinging by again a little later to try the pizza and fried pickles, plus another order of fries for the toddler. The service was great! Very fast. The prices were reasonable for the portions. And the fried pickles were the best we ever had! Our only disappointment is that we didn't discover this place until the last night of our trip. If we ever find ourselves back on hatteras, we will definitely spend an evening here. read more

We were a group of 6 traveling from Chicago, Manhattan and Orlando just looking for a place to have fun and found this pizza and arcade place. We weren't really hungry so we just ordered appetizers... fried pickles, jalapeño poppers, fried calamari and chili cheese fries. The fried pickles and jalapeño poppers were a hit... got seconds of both. I happened to be on a temporary vegan, dairy and sugar/sweetener free diet so requested a salad with all the veggies and fruit available and Angelo's accommodated at a fair price and everything was fresh. While playing in the arcade the bowling game took my $1 so I informed the lady at the counter. She said Angelo's doesn't give money back so she opened her purse and gave me $1. Where the LOCALS go for lunch! Great food & pizza & beer (craft beer in cans). The Fish Sandwich of the day was Flounder-the staff was super accommodating making it without extra salt/no bun. We ordered two pizzas, the smaller one tasted fresher and warm. However, the large chicken bacon and ranch we ordered tasted pretty stale, the pizza wasn't warm and the cheese was already hardened. The pizza was good and easily fed our party of 6. The two girls working the register were very friendly despite being swamped. The service is not quick, but they're upfront about it. We ordered 3 pizzas for takeout, and on the phone they told us it'd be about an hour and a half wait. We had no problem with that and ordered anyway, and it took exactly that amount of time! Good food but you'll always wait over an hour. I've given this place a few chances over the summers and overall I would only recommend this place for takeout because eating in is never a good idea. They don't have a wait staff so if you're waiting an hour for food, every time someone in your party wants a drink or to add to your order you have to get back in line to order and pay. Quick family vacation brought us out to Buxton..who doesn't love the southern OBX islands. Decided to grab a few subs from Angelo's for lunch. Arrived and the place was slammed. Great sign - but 1/2 the customers in line had no mask even though there's a very bold sign that it's required since we are in the middle of a pandemic. I committed to ordering - super easy, staff was kind and friendly. However, it came to my attention when staff coming from kitchen to counter they were not wearing mask or gloves. At this point I'd already ordered and paid. So we opted not to eat our food. Totally bummed bc reviews were really good! read more

There were limited Pizza options the closest Pizza place was closed permanently and the next one was out of dough. Was very busy had to wait 1 1/2 hours on a Saturday evening for a takeout order. Ordered cheese pizza and a 4 topping pizza. Order was accurate, toppings on the 4 tipping Pizza was a little sparse. Not every slice had all of the toppings on it. Both pizzas were tasty. Their fried chicken is horrible. Way overcooked! The skin was so hard I couldn't eat it, just threw it away. I would have taken it back, had I not already waited an extra 30 minutes for them to correct another portion of our order they had screwed up. read more

After grocery shopping in Nags Head I use to get pizza from a chain place. After having a pizza from this little place in Buxton. I now only get my pizza here. The crust is fluffy, the sauce is yummy and the cheese tastes fresh . I also love there onion rings. Yum yum!!!!! read more

We ordered two house salads and a supreme calzone to split. The order took a bit longer than they said, but it was worth it to get salads as fresh and nice as these. The calzone was a thing of beauty, and it came with a large side of marinara, plenty for the whole thing! While we did take out, this looks like a groovy place to stay put and eat.
