I used to love this place. We order food here atleast twice a month, since it's just across the street. The food here is great but the service has gone DOWNHILL. My boyfriend picked up an order last week and was literally ignored at the counter for over 5 minutes...i thought maybe it was just a "one off". Tried calling tonight and the woman who answered the phone was extremely rude. I sat on hold for 5 minutes. When I gave her one of my entree orders, I had questions about the soup. I asked her what kind it was and all she said was sausage. Sausage soup? When I asked her for details, her response was what other dinners can I get for you. I felt extremely rushed and unwanted as a patron. You've officially lost my business and I'll be ordering elsewhere tonight. The food here is soooooooo good! I have walked past this place more times than I can count and totally ignored it because I thought it was just another strip mall pizza joint. Well, how wrong I was! Ordered on Grubhub. They left out one persons meal. Called Angelos and they had the meal. Neither Grubhub or Angelos would deliver the missing food. What is the point of ordering delivery if they can't get it right and won't fix their mistake? Food that was delivered was mediocre at best. read more

we have never had a problem with their fried calamari until today. oil had a bad after taste, over cooked very dark and very tough to eat.

Place is great, definitely New york style pizza and italian restaurant. At least as good as the other local place(Gino's from Palm Harbor), but closer if you live up this way. About 11 bucks for a large cheese, garlic knots are also amazing, shaved garlic right on the knots, delish! read more

Don't let the strip mall location in Holiday scare you! This place is AMAZING. I have been coming to Angelo's for at least 20 years, and its always good. If you don't give them a try, you are missing out on some really amazing, REAL italian food. Tonight there were three of us, and we ordered two meals, a third salad, two bottled (Maretti) beers and a glass of red wine. Check was $47, and we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Great home cooked food, amazing prices, and the owner is onsite! The Chicken Francese was two LARGE chicken breasts, not the skimpy ones from Carrabba's, and FULL of flavor. The lemon flavor was prefect, and we weren't left wondering if they forgotto add it like other places. The sausage and peppers was enough for 2, EASY. If somebody ate that entire meal, they should be ashamed of themselves! Plate was loaded with sausage and cut peppers in a red sauce, that begs you to lick the plate! I am guessing that's why they give you warm bread... The old standbys like pizza, calzones and strombolis are great too... More of that stuff goes out the door for takeout, than dine in customers. OK, so the location isn't that great, and leaves you wondering. But do yourself a favor and go visit Angelo. read more

I was eager to try this place after hearing from so many people, and reading the reviews, that this place is amazing... However, I was very disappointed when our Sicilian pizza had hard crust that wasn't even edible. You couldn't even bite into to. I had chicken roma, which was, eh. Nothing to remember. I did like the antipasto salad and they're dressing. And the tiramisu was bland, as well... I will probably give them another try. I am so happy we found Angelos. You would not think coming from a strip mall there would be such a quaint little restaurant with such good food! My husband and I ate here and loved it. I had the the tortilini and raviolli and he had the chicken parm. We had a delicious botle of the Movendo Moscato. oh I cannot forget the large bowl of mussels that was to die for! All for about $60! We were visiting some friends in Florida and wanted some plzza. We regret stopping in here for some. There's an older man in there that doesn't wash his hands before handling food. He was on the phone taking an order, he never washed his hands once he was done. Started making pizza. We walked right on our! Or sanitary at all. That's how people get sick! Yes, 5 stars - something I rarely give. I have been eating at this establishment for over 30 years. I have relatives who are snowbirds in nearby Pasco County. They will often tell me about some new (usually to them) pizza or Italian place they found that I HAVE to try. Most of them are gone. Angelo's is still here, now remodeled. There is a reason they are still around: they are about the best at what they do. I am a pizza nut. A fanatic. Angelo's gets it right. New York style right on the money. The sauce, the cheese, the crust - all superb. Baked right. The crust has the perfect crunch while remaining chewy. You want soft crust, then order Papa John's. (Couple of low-rated reviews have knocked the Sicilian style pizza. I have not had it; it isn't my preference. But it's supposed to be thick and chewy. It's made in a pan and topped simply.) I enjoy a good antipasto and a pizza. This is generally what I order here. My son and I are big eaters, and the antipasto for one was more than enough for two persons. The large sausage pizza, well we took home three slices. All for $25 including tax (we drink water). The antipasto here puts 99% of other places I've ordered the same to shame. Not just the quantity and price, but the sheer quality of the ingredients. Over the years we have had pasta and other dishes here. All are well prepared. Angelo's is my go-to Italian restaurant in this area. Probably going back tomorrow. read more

I ordered takeout from Angelo's a few times & ate in once. I was pretty happy with everything I ordered. I liked the bell pepper soup. The linguine w red clam sauce was good. The spinach lasagne was good. Loved the Greek salad. It had fresh salad greens and excellent homemade Greek dressing. I especially like it didn't have iceberg lettuce. But-and this is why they don't get 5 stars- what I didn't like was the potato salad at the bottom wasn't homemade. Going to try their white pizza next & regular pizza. Awesome pizza! Great crust, sauce, lots of cheese, tasty pepperoni and the staff was very friendly. I also tried the baked ravioli and that was pretty damn amazing too. Good value, clean eat in, and service. A little slow and loud when slammed but that's expected with a small business like them. Garlic knots and hoagies are above average, pizza was on par but the Italian meals like Marsala just didn't have that deep rich flavor you'd get from a Italian sit down. Yet another unexpected surprise treat in an unassuming strip mall. Met a group of friends who live nearby. Must have driven past Angelo's dozens of times and frankly never noticed it. A mistake. Had the Italian wedding soup that was included with dinner. It was slightly undersalted. My entree was the veal piccata over angel hair pasta with garlic and oil! Amazing! Must have been a half-jar of capers in the sauce which was perfectly flavored with white wine and lemon. My dining companions had linguine puttanesca (in a style that was different than what I was used to), spinach lasagna, lasagna and eggplant rolatini. Great warm bread, warm attentive service. I do not usually prefer Italian restaurants, but my family and I decided to give this one a try. They are a pretty small restaurant, nothing fancy, and the prices were kind of high, but you got your money's worth. We got an appetizer including cheese sticks, chicken strips and fried shrimp that filled a lot of us up. We also ordered a pizza for the table that was huge, so we ended up taking half of it home. We have been eating at Angelo's for years but the last two times we were disappointed. I had an expensive seafood pasta. It was dry(not enough sauce). They wouldn't have been able to add sauce because it had lots of seafood. The waitress asked if I wanted something else but I didn't know if I would be charged for that. Another time it was crowded and we were seated but waited long for the waitress. When she came, I asked to speak to the mngr. She said what is wrong. I said he needs to hire more waitress. She said we got it. Most times there is only ONE waitress. Last night we ordered the same dish we always order. It was dry. We ordered garlic knots. Very small. No taste and they were not drizzled with olive oil but cooking oil. Shame on you. You're supposed to be Italians. I never get the salad because they don't give you olive oil for your dressing.
